Lately

Did everyone have a wonderful holiday season? I can't believe it is already over. It came and went so quickly! I think it was due to a later than usual Thanksgiving. It's pretty late again next year, too! Oh well. To be honest, I'm glad to be back into a routine. That week between Christmas and New Year's Day is so weird, isn't it? I mean I relish the time to sleep in, lounge in pajamas, spend time with family and friends, and eat and drink like there's no tomorrow, but I really do thrive on a routine.

We celebrated New Year's Eve at a family friend's house which was lots of fun and so convenient considering they live 2 minutes away from us! We also celebrated our 1-year anniversary of being engaged which was fun. We went to Over Eden for drinks and then to one of my favorite French spots, Poulet Bleu. I saw a movie which you'll read more about below, but other than that, the entire 'break' was low key and refreshing.

Wearing: I'm doing a sponsored post with Talbots on instagram later today and this isn't sponsored but I just had to include the lounge set here, too, because it's so cute and so comfortable. I love the T by Talbots line because everything is flattering and comfortable but also designed to look nice enough to actually wear out in public. I would say both pieces run big- I am wearing an XS in both the Sweater and Joggers.

Eating: I typically get the steak frites at Poulet Bleu, but for some reason, this past time I went for the beef bourguignon and it was absolutely fabulous. So flavorful and it was served over a bed of aligot potatoes. I'll be back on a super cold winter night for this for sure!

Sale-ing: The Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale is coming up this Monday and Tuesday 1/6-1/7!!!!

Watching:
We finally saw A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood last week. For those of you who don't know, it's the Mr. Rogers movie. I was honestly underwhelmed, although, I do admit that I had very high expectations. I found Tom Hanks to have played his part as well as he could have but it came off creepy and distant to me. I also just couldn't shake it because it's Tom Hanks and so clearly not Mr. Rogers. I think it would have been better with a not-so-famous actor. I also felt like the storyline focused far too much on the main character, Lloyd, and not enough on Mr. Rogers. It was touching and worth seeing, but I wouldn't see it again.

Listening: It's so weird to just ditch Christmas music, isn't it? I have to say, that's something I will miss because boy do I love it! But I'll do an updated post as to what I typically listen to throughout the day like I did with the Christmas music

Loving: I am obsessed with this brand, Agua by Agua Bendita. I love the colors and prints and cuts of everything! It's unfortunately pretty pricey, but boy is it gorgeous. I need a tropical trip, stat!

Wanting: Well post-Christmas I couldn't want anything. Plus it's this weird time period with retailers where everything is on sale and there's not a ton of new items. However, I'll share some things that I have liked over the past week or so.

Pittsburgh-ing: 14 New Restaurants Opening This Year. I love me a new restaurant! Pittsburgh Restaurant Week is also coming up 1/13-1/19. My fiancĂ© always takes charge during these weeks and makes our reservations so I'm excited for fun dinners to come!
