I shared we got a new coffee table a few weeks ago and I've been a bit lazy about attempting to style it. However, it inspired me to take stock of the coffee table books I have in my arsenal so I can start styling. I'm sharing some of my very favorites with you all.
Not only do I use these beautiful books just on coffee tables, but I love using books as decor. They make the perfect 'riser' if needed and can add color, texture, or interest to any vignette! Plus, I think they are a nice way to show off your individual personality with books that speak to your own personal interests!
Coffee table books can be pricey, so my tip is to keep an eye on them on Amazon or watch out for sales. I also think to look at eBay for older versions, vintage books, and even just gently used coffee table books- it is a great resource and you'll be surprised to see all of the old school books you can find there! A good example would be that I found this vintage Spode book!
One of my biggest tips is to take off the jackets of books. I love it when the spine is a solid color and you can see the embossed title. I think it looks cleaner and that way you can mix a lot more together! I also like to occasionally put the same color books together. You can see the two blue books I have underneath the monogram champagne bucket (in the photos above). I want a 3rd to complete it but the blue just works well in that space rather than a mix of colors.
