My fiancé and I love to do a date night just the two of us and we do it pretty often. We try to do takeout at least once a weekend (usually more) and like to make a date night out of it by making it feel a little more 'special' than the norm.
To 'separate' our night from an ordinary night, I will usually set a pretty table and we will open a good bottle of wine or bubbly and dress up a bit. I also find that it's fun to start out in the living room with drinks and charcuterie and then go to the table for dinner for a 'change of scenery'.
This past Friday, we got Melting Pot To-Go to make it a fun and special fondue date night. Melting Pot of Pittsburgh is located in Station Square!
We started off with a wonderful charcuterie board and then we had the 3-course dinner for two! We had the creamiest cheese fondue (we got the Wisconsin Cheddar), salads (we got the Melting Pot House and Caesar), and rich chocolate fondue for dessert (we got the pure chocolate). Their romance package added special touches with rose petals and Melting Pot’s Signature Dipped Strawberries.
The meal was SO delicious and there was so much food! It's not often that we get fondue so this felt very festive and special- more like a celebration! It was also so easy to set up at home- you don't need a special fondue pot or anything like that!
