This might be the world's easiest recipe. I love to host and have people over to our house. I'm sooo thankful that my fiancĂ© loves to cook and cooks so well so he will often do the cooking if we are having friends over. He can bake but he doesn't love it and I also don't like to bake all that much. I'll make something here and there but it is rare.

So, often, I will pick something up from a bakery if we are having people over so I have something on hand to serve for dessert.

During the summer months, though, this peach dessert is always a hit and seriously SO easy. I used all of these great serving pieces from Walmart's home collection. They have beautiful, affordable pieces perfect for entertaining. I realized when was planning out this post, that we didn't own any footed dessert bowls! I saw these and knew they'd be perfect as they are nice and roomy for loads of ice cream! But I also contemplated getting these because I like the vintage/old school vibes!

Easy Recipe: Bourbon Peaches and Ice Cream

Here's what you'll need:

- peaches
- butter
- brown sugar
- bourbon
- vanilla ice cream

All you do is melt the butter, add in brown sugar, and a tiny splash of bourbon.

You halve the peaches and remove the pits.

Then dip the peach half face down into the mixture.

Pop onto the grill for just a few minutes to give it a little flavor.

I really eyeball all of this without any measurements or timing. It's truly that easy, you can't really go wrong. The warm peaches with the cold ice cream are such a delight. You can add a little of the extra mixture overtop for some added flavor if you'd like, but I personally think they're plenty good on their own!

The bourbon will burn off almost entirely, but you can omit the bourbon if you'd prefer that! It just adds a little more flavor.

If you have leftover peaches, at the end of the night, you can refrigerate them, and the next day, you can make a milkshake with the leftovers!

The peach flavor is just so summery to me and really reminds me of being in Georgia since there are fresh peaches galore in the summertime when we visit!

Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
