Blue and White Dresses

I wanted to share three dresses that I wore while in Charleston and all three happen to be blue and white. I guess you can say I have a type, ha!! Oddly enough, I do think they all look pretty different.  I LOVE each of them and really felt good while wearing them. There are actually quite a few blue and white dresses out right now that I just really love. I have mentioned this in many of my style posts over the past year or two but the 'in' styles are just not my favorite right now o it can be slim pickings for me sometimes. I know many of you have mentioned you feel the same. So, when I find something that I really love, I am happy to shout it from the rooftops!

Dress (also here and here)// Gold Esapdrille Wedges (review here)

I wore the black version of this dress (the shorter version) on Thursday night before our wedding out to drinks and dinner with our extended family that was in town and I loved the fit. I love the scoop in the front and the back and the darts around the waist are so flattering. The silhouette feels very classic and the full midi skirt feels ladylike and almost 'vintage'.

I think one of the most fun things about this dress is that within the print there is an adorable pup throughout! SO cute!

Fit/Sizing:
This runs true to size. You want a close fit around your waist so I wouldn't suggest sizing up! The fabric is a lightweight, but structured cotton poplin. It'd be a great fabric for really hot summer evenings.

Dress (almost sold out, more of the same style, here)// Handbag

I love this dress. I typically prefer a midi dress but I think that's mostly because short dresses often are just TOO short on me (and I'm not even that tall!!). I love the toile print. This style of dress has been popular over the last few years and I love that, on this one, the belt is braided which makes it feel more substantial.

Fit/Sizing:
This fits true to size. It is not fitted anywhere except when you tie the belt, which you have full control over. I'm 5'6" and I feel like the length is just perfect. It's not too short at all.

This Dress is a good one if you live in a colder climate like I do. I wore it in South Carolina on the chilliest evening because it covers my legs and between that and the cashmere wrap, I was just fine! I think this would be a good option for Easter! It's made in a crisp cotton poplin fabric and crazy enough, it didn't wrinkle in my suitcase!

I actually tucked the neckline into either side of my bra. I liked how it looked better than how the neckline sits on its own!

Fit/Sizing
When I first tried it on, I thought it fit true to size, but the more I moved around in it when I went ot actually wear it, the more I felt like it runs big/roomy. I was fine in the small but I think the size down may have been the better choice/looked better. The only area in this dress that is fitted is at the waist and even that is stretchy!

While I really didn't plan the blue and white printed dress thing, I do think it helps to pack within a color scheme so you can mix and match. I was gone for 10 days and spent time in Charlotte, NC, Isle of Palms, SC and Charleston and I made these Gold Espadrille Wedges (review herework with everything I brought! I really hammer on about this Cashmere Wrap and have for years, but it truly is one of the best things that I own. I have it in several colors. I always wear one on a flight and then use it as a wrap over dresses in the evenings!
