We are a little less than one month from Valentine's Day! I change my opinion about the holiday constantly. In the past, I've felt it was a little cliché and overly hyped but the older I get, the happier I am to have a reason to celebrate anything at all and especially so during the colder, darker winter months!

I will say, I find celebrating the Valentine's 'season' is more fun to celebrate than February 14th. It's just like Christmas. I think the lead up to Christmas, the holiday season, is much more exciting and enjoyable than actual Christmas Day. Does anyone else feel this way?

For Valentine's Day, I love all of the bright pink and red and the fun tablescapes and all of the candy and love! I'm totally ready to embrace it all. But when it comes to February 14th, my husband and I play it low-key with dinner at home and a good bottle of bubbly and no big gifts. We are actually going to be skiing so we will have to save our Valentine's Day dinner at home for a later date!

Anyway, I am all about a new pair of pajamas, and was so excited to find a Lake package on my doorstep as a gift from the brand with these two sets of darling Valentine's themed pajamas! I know I'll wear these year round, especially the Blue Hearts! In fact, as I type this, I am wearing a pair of the classic striped pajamas! They're basically all I wear at this point and especially more so during the winter months when I spend more time lounging around inside!

I've given my mom and sister Lake sets as a gift and just this past Christmas gave my aunt her first set. They make such a nice gift; a little luxury for everyday!

I'm wearing a size medium in both sets. I typically size up one size in these pajamas for a nice roomy fit and so I am able to machine dry them. Since they are 100% Pima cotton, they shrink a bit in the machine dryer. Washing them inside out and drying them on low will extend the life of your pajamas! They are not as fussy or hard to maintain as it may sound!

Also, a note about these Pink Slippers. I got this style in metallic gold last year and wore them literally to their death. I wear slippers inside of our house basically 24/7 from about October to May so they get a ton of wear. I have had so many different styles of slippers throughout the years and I've found that this particular style works best for me. I like that they are a mule style and I can just quickly slide my foot into the slipper. I also like that it has a rubber sole on the bottom so you get traction but it's thin enough that the sole is flexible. Overall, they are thin enough and lightweight enough that you can pack them in a suitcase or overnight tote, which is so nice! These are true slippers and not really something you'd ever wear outside or in public and that works perfectly for my needs! I snagged the 'horizon pink' this year and I have to say, they make me smile each morning that I slide into them! I use this spray on the suede to keep them looking fresh as I wear them! The Slippers run true to size and come in a bunch of color options, some of the color options are on sale!

Hi Sydney! Were these Lake pajamas courtesy of the brand? I recall bloggers having to write c/o for free products given and/or advertisement, so just curious on that front. Thank you!

Hi Anonymous!

Yes, these were gifted from Lake! I had written in the body of the post ‘and was so excited to find a Lake package on my doorstep’, but since that wasn’t clear to you, I just edited the text to be clearer! Thanks for bringing that to my attention, I appreciate it!
