Hair Products and Accessories That I Love

I have quite a few hair accessories and products that I rely on daily and I realized I don't think I've done a recent comprehensive post of all of these things! All of the products are things I've been using for years now and love! See below for a description of each product!

The Mason Pearson brush is a splurge, for sure. I mean, $200+ for a hairbrush is a little nuts, I get it. But once I got this brush, which I use daily, I even splurged for a handbag-sized brush so I could carry it with me. Not only that, but my husband started using my brush (we, oddly enough, have very similar hair- he has a lot of hair, and it's all thick), and my husband got his own. He got a smaller size that works better with his short hair because he loved it so much. The brush I use is called the 'popular' and it is a mixture of boar and nylon bristles. They make 3 different kinds of bristles: boar, boar and nylon, and nylon. Boar is for fine hair, a combo of boar and nylon is for thicker hair, and nylon is for harder-to-manage hair. I find that the mixture of bristles works out really well for me. The brush head is pretty large, which is another plus since I have a lot of hair. The bed of the bristles is padded so when you brush close to your scalp, it feels so good- almost like a spa treatment! It's also said that these bristles help to distribute the oils on your scalp and hair better. I am not quite sure that I can attest to that but I will say it makes my hair so smooth and soft! If I lost my brush, I would immediately replace it, that is how much I love this brush!

The Wet Brush is something I've been using for what feels like forever. I can't remember what brush I used before a Wet Brush because it's been that long. This is what I use to brush through my hair right out of the shower. The bristles are further apart and flexible, so they won't likely break your hair. This brush is almost like a big comb. This is the kind of brush that you need to replace every so often because the bristles get bent out of shape and some fall out but it's really inexpensive and you can find them at most drugstores and on Amazon, which is great.

These are basically the only hair ties that I use. They are the BEST, and I have practically tried them all. I've been using them for years and have never had one break on me. I use the skinnier ones for day-to-day hairstyles. I use the thick ones when working out because they really hold my hair the best.

I have so many flyaway hairs and they often drive me crazy! I love this hair 'finishing cream' to tame the flyaways. It looks like a tube of mascara and the product is lightweight, undetectable gel. This is great to toss into your handbag when you are on-the-go and I also keep one in my bathroom!

These hair clips are from a random spot, but I buy them every year! I use the small ones for hairstyles as they hold my hair so well and they are pretty. I use the large mostly to hold the hair on the top of my head while I curl or straighten the bottom half of my hair or to pull my hair back when I'm brushing my teeth, doing skincare, etc. These clips are high quality, they rarely ever break, and are pretty!

I thought this scalp massager was a little 'gimmicky' but not only does it feel good but it really does help to distribute shampoo and conditioner all of the way to the roots! I use it every time I wash my hair! This is inexpensive and I think it would make a cute little gift if you pair it with another hair product! Also, thinking way ahead, but keep it in mind to use as a stocking stuffer!
