Looks almost identical to this dress, which is double the price! I actually prefer the skirt on the one above vs. the pricier option!
I am 100% the type of person who, if there is even the slightest reason to dress up, I will fully commit to it. I went to the symphony the other weekend, and we went out to a 'nicer' restaurant, and I wore a black dress and pretty shoes. I was probably the most dressed-up person in the theater, but I didn't care!
One thing I love about the holiday season, though, is that people seem to dress up more during the season than they might otherwise. We have a wedding this weekend, and I'm so excited to wear something fun and fancy and then have a few holiday parties ahead to close out the year. We always dress up on Christmas Eve!
One of the most popular questions I am asked is to share dress options for weddings and events. I am so picky about dresses, so I don't often do these posts, but there are usually more beautiful options around this time of year than at any other time!
I ordered two dresses last week (this Dress , and this Dress), and they are SO good; I just knew I had to share them with you all before I even get a chance to wear them or adequately photograph them. I'm concerned they may sell out as we edge closer to the holiday season!
Some of the reviews mentioned that they run small, so I sized up to a size 6 in both, but they're big on me. I would suggest getting your true size; I don't find the sizing reviews to be accurate. I think a 4 would have been perfect for me. The fabric on these dresses feels like a designer brand like Monique Lhuillier or Sachin and Babi. They look and feel so much higher-end than the price suggests. They're elegant, sophisticated, and have the right proportions (which many lesser-priced dresses often get wrong)!
I don't even think the photos above do these dresses justice, but they are both perfect for a holiday party, cocktail event, or wedding. We have a wedding this weekend, so I'm deciding which dress to wear!
There are a lot of good dresses out right now, so see below for more options! It may take a moment to load!

Hi Sydney! I think you’re right that people don’t dress for the occasion anymore, even when there is a dress code! I went to a formal wedding recently and was surprised by how casual some other guests were. I also went to my local symphony earlier this year and wore a vintage fur cape. I can’t tell you how many older ladies spoke to me and said how wonderful it was to see a younger woman wearing her fur… I’ve often wondered if they truly meant the fur or being appropriately dressed for the symphony. I’m grateful you still encourage proper etiquette through fashion.
I vote for the first frock! It’s gorgeous and you look beautiful in it!
beautiful dresses!
