Henry's Gotcha Day was this past Saturday so we took him for ice cream!
See you back here on Tuesday, January 2nd, when I will resume my regular Monday-Friday 6am EST blog posts!
I hope you are all having a wonderful week! This is going to be my *last* post of 2023. I was going to post my 2023 Favorites List, but I am going to switch it up this year and save it for January 2nd!
I am ready for a break. I feel a little burned out and really need to reset! I always get this way at this point. I'm not good at relaxing and not working, but I'm going to try my best because I really want 2024 to be wonderful and start it off on a great foot!
This past weekend, we spent time with friends and headed to Ohio for a Christmas party with my husband's side of the family. This week, I've spent tying up loose ends so I can relax! My sister and brother-in-law arrive today, so I am excited to soak up family time.
Thank you all so much, first and foremost, for your kindness and respect. Thank you for visiting my little corner of the internet. I hope you have the most wonderful Christmas with your loved ones if you celebrate and enjoy the rest of your year. I also hope and pray that you all have a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2024. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Sale: Isn't this heart cardigan so cute?! I bought it on a whim and it's even better than I was expecting! I'm wearing a small. It runs roomy (in a good way). I also love this plaid tote that is on sale!
Watching: I polled you all on Instagram to ask you what you all are watching and would recommend as I hope to binge some TV over my break. I have been saving the last part of The Crown for next week, which I am excited about. I also want to catch up on Southern Charm. I'm so behind on TV and haven't had time to watch much lately. Here are the top responses if you are looking for suggestions, too...
- Gilded Age (this was the most popular BY FAR)
- Murder at the End of the World
- My Life With the Walter Boys
- Slow Horses
- The Curse
- Leave the World Behind
- Buccaneer
- Eandeavors
Loving: Love these eye patches and face masks so much. They are inexpensive and work so well! I always keep a box in the fridge! They make a great last-minute gift idea!
Wanting: Oh my goodness, this bow bag is perfection. I can't stop thinking about these silver snow boots! J.Crew quietly dropping some new arrivals. Love this cardigan!!!
Pittsburgh: Iron Born easily has some of the best pizza in Pittsburgh. It's Detroit-style so it's hard to compare it to my favorite, Mineo's but wow is it good. I love their pickle pizza SO much. The other pizza above is buffalo chicken but literally every single one is incredible. I tried their meatballs for the first time this past weekend and they were also WOW! They have pasta, too, which I have never tried but would like to!
Huggie Hoops under $20
Amazon Rec: The cutest little earrings and the best part is that they're inexpensive, too! You can find more of my Amazon favorites, here on my Amazon page where I am constantly updating it with all of my finds and top picks from home, beauty, fashion, and more!
Amazon Rec: If you're looking for a last-minute stocking stuffer, you can't beat these crew socks. You get a pack of 6 for under $20! Amazon Rec: Love filling out our Christmas Memories book. It is already so fun to look back on past years! This makes a great gift! You can find more of my Amazon favorites, here on my Amazon page where I am constantly updating it with all of my finds and top picks from home, beauty, fashion, and more!
Traveling: We are going to Charleston in February, and I'm already excited. We are also going to go skiing again for a long weekend at Holiday Valley in either January or February and then we are headed on a week-long trip to Mexico in April for a family friend's destination wedding. We have so many family friends flying in for the wedding an staying a whole week, it is going to be TOO much fun!
Quoting: “And the angel said unto them, 'Fear not: for behold, I bring unto you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the City of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.' And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God, and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.” - Linus Van Pelt (Luke 2:8-14)

Merry Christmas and enjoy your well deserved break! I recently got engaged and have been going back to read your Wedding Wednesday posts from a few years ago. So fun and helpful! Thank you!
I ordered that heart cardigan so fast, I love the way you have it styled! I also have a red and white striped tee that I think would look cute underneath. I hope you have a great Christmas with your family and relaxing time off! Viva la vida!
I really love your blog. Best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from McKinney, TX.
