Lately

Hope you are all having a great week! Though it has been rainy, it has finally started to 'warm' up a bit, and we are no longer in single digits. I'm thrilled!!

We got a nice bit of snow this past weekend, which I was excited about. We hadn't had a good snow yet, and it was lovely to get it on Friday evening when we had nowhere to be. We cooked a delicious dinner, bundled up, and headed out on a walk in the fresh snow with Henry. He does not love the cold, but he LOVES snow. It's so fun to see him running around in it! We capped it off with some hot tea and watched a movie.

Back in December 2020, we got the biggest snow I could remember since living back in Pittsburgh after college. After typing that previous sentence, I decided to go look it up. It was literally the biggest snow Pittsburgh had seen since 2010, so my memory serves me correctly. I remember the date because it was Henry's gotcha day! I just remember being so excited about it. 2020 was such a terrible year; the amount of joy I got from that snowstorm created a core memory for me. It was truly the most simple night, but I think I will remember it for as long as I live. This past Friday wasn't THAT snowy, but there is something magical, even as an adult when you get a big snow.

You know what else is interesting? As I was scrolling through the snow data, the biggest snowstorm of my lifetime was in March of 1993. I had yet to turn 3 years old and I can tell you with certainty that I remember that day.... vaguely, but I remember it. Does anyone else feel like big snows are like little time markers?

A housekeeping note: my blog emails have encountered a glitch, which is so frustrating, but I am working on it, so stay tuned!
Sweater// Tee// Jeans// Boots (on sale)

Wearing: I got this cardigan last spring and it's luckily still available. It's such great quality for the price. It runs roomy, I am wearing a small and probably should have sized down to XS! Are you following me on the LikeToKnowIt app?! You can shop all of my outfits, favorite finds, and more in the app. I am constantly updating it with the latest! You can also access all of my posts, here, if you don't use LTK!
Eating: We recreated Chipotle bowls at home and it was truly better than Chipotle! It was a lot of chopping and a lot of ingredients, but otherwise, it was so easy. I'll have to see if I can recreate it and write it down to share with you all!

Drinking: Naked Wines is a direct-to-consumer wine delivery service that I was recently introduced to. They generously sent me a package to try out for myself (no strings attached for me to share). I have been impressed so far. I received 6 bottles, and I need to try more out of the 6 to really give you a good recommendation, but so far, I have enjoyed what I have tried. My parents are coming over for dinner tonight, so we will open two bottles to test them out because they said they would like to sign up. It's $39.99 for 6 bottles of wine (free shipping to most zip codes) if you want to try it yourself. To get that price, you have to use this link (not a code). When you sign up, you take a quick quiz so they can create a bundle of 6 that you will like and they gave me 2 zinfandels, 2 cabs, a bubbly, and sparkling rosé which was spot on to my tastes. You can then go back and rate the wines and it learns your preferences even more. But anyway, it is a steal of a price, and you can cancel at any time. I will be back to report on how I liked the wines I tried!

Sale: I don't love white handbags, but this tote in ivory is stunning and, at under $600, is a great price.

Watching:
We watched American Nightmare on Netflix this week, and both my husband and I were glued to it. It is wild, and I definitely recommend it!
Loving: These gloves are amazing. I have shared before but they deserve another share. They are SO warm. They come in many colors!

Wanting:
Love this neutral vest!
Pittsburgh: Papa J's pizza (in the strip district) is SO darn good. The bottom right and the bottom left were my favorites. The bottom left was spinach and feta and the bottom right was onion and sausage.

White Pullover (comes in other colors)
Amazon Rec: I bought this Athleisure pullover on a whim as it kind of gave me Varley vibes and quite honestly, it's almost as soft as the Varley fabric! I'm wearing it to throw on before and after Orange Theory. I'm wearing a small and it runs very roomy! You can find more of my Amazon favorites, here on my Amazon page where I am constantly updating it with all of my finds and top picks from home, beauty, fashion, and more!

I remember the Blizzard of 1993! I had a friend over and she got snowed in, which to a 13 year old is huge! I even remember The Brighton Hotdog Shoppe created commemorative to go cups!
