Lately

At the beginning of the month, we had very little on the calendar for February, but now it's literally packed! I am glad because it will move February along, which tends to feel like a slower month due to the weather.

Usually, January feels like it drags on forever, but I didn't feel that way this year, did you? I'm honestly relieved, ha!

This weekend, my sister and brother-in-law are coming to town to ski on our local mountain. We are going to stay in the mountains for the weekend, which will be fun. I'm hoping the weather will be good and there will be snow because last week, we had quite a warm spell in the 50s! Then, next up, we are headed to Charleston. My husband planned this trip as a Valentine's Day treat, so I'm excited to see where we are eating and drinking and all of that!

After taking January completely off from doing my gel manicures at home and also not going to the salon, I'm excited to get a manicure next week. I've been trying to let my nails breathe. They took such a beating during the holiday season and I knew they needed time to breathe and grow and repair. I actually don't love getting my nails done and prefer to do my own gel at home, but I desperately need a pedicure, so I'm just going to do it all while I'm there.

Wearing: As 'boring' as this outfit is, it is one I wear over and over again. It's so simple but always makes me feel polished and comfortable. I often recommend this button down and for good reason. It's simply the best! Are you following me on the LikeToKnowIt app?! You can shop all of my outfits, favorite finds, and more in the app. I am constantly updating it with the latest! You can also access all of my posts, here, if you don't use LTK!

Eating: I want to try and make this Thomas Keller Vinaigrette.... sounds so simple and divine!

Drinking: I told you all about the Naked Wines subscription last week where you can use my link and get 6 bottles for $39.99. I had my parents over for dinner last week, and we tried these three wines that were also in my box, and we all loved all three of these. It was a sparkling rosé, a sparkling wine, and a Napa cab. You cannot beat the quality for the price, and my parents ended up ordering a box while at our house!

Watching: I have not watched TV once this week. I would love to get into a show, but I haven't seen anything that has caught my attention lately! Is anyone watching anything good?!

Loving: This mini cane bag is $20. I haven't seen it in person, but wow, it's darling. I'd remove the longer strap as I think that makes it look a bit cheap. There is also a tote bag version for $35!

Loving II: I think this entire Redken line is just SO good but I most recently tried out this hair mask and in one use, it completely changed my hair. I think it was the most noticeable change I've ever seen after one use in a product. I really doubted it as I was squirting it out of the tube. The texture is thin and with how much hair I have, I thought to myself, there is no way this is going to work on my hair. Well, I worked it in and let it sit and it was crazy how it sunk into my hair and when I went to rinse, my hair was the softest I've ever felt it. Once dry, it was just so smooth and soft and silky. I usually have tons of flyaways at my part, but this smoothed that down SO much. I was worried the flyaways were from damage but my stylist assured me that it is actually new hair growth and not damaged hair. Phew. Between this Redken line and the Wella spray, my hair has never felt better! Anyway, if you have really thick, color treated hair, I fully recommend this!

Wanting: These flats
are SO good. Love this bright pink ski sweater. This pink dress is BACK in stock and perfect for Valentine's Day! This dress is stunning- would be a perfect spring/summer Mother of the Bride dress! Oh my goodness, this jacket. This dog bed is just SO cute and I love how you can personalize it!
Pittsburgh: We randomly stumbled upon Pgh Candles this weekend. It's the cutest little shop on the northside (right next to the Teutonia Club) and had so many amazing candles. My mom and I each picked up one to try out at home and have been loving them! I've been really hard on Pittsburgh over the last several years and I'm trying to fall in love with it again. It's not that I don't love our home and our community, but the city definitely changed during the pandemic and made me feel a bit disheartened. I've been making an effort to really discover the good things about this city because there are SO many!
