How is your week going? Mine is chugging along! It's my first full week back, so this is the actual 'reset' week now that I've unpacked, done laundry, and gotten caught up on work. I've been trying to get into a Pilates class all week, but I've been stuck on the waitlist, which has been really frustrating! Talk about champagne problems, I know, but working out is a huge help for me to keep my mental health in check!
I'm still going through all of the photos I took in Portugal. I took many to say the least! I am aiming for my travel guide to be published next week! In the meantime, the photos above are from the trip!
We have a busy weekend. We have an event tonight, and then we are spending time with my husband's side of the family for the day. I can't believe we only have one more weekend of September left after this. Being away for over a week in September has really made this month seem short. I want time to slow down! This is my favorite time of the year- specifically October. I am going to savor every single day!
Confession: I did put the few outdoor fall decorations that we have outside. We haven't gotten actual pumpkins yet, but I've put out a few decorations. Waiting until October is probably the more appropriate move, but many of our neighbors have started, and I couldn't resist! I don't do much seasonal decorating indoors (or outdoors for that matter), but I've already pulled out two Halloween mugs.
Wearing: Tuckernuck generously gifted me this sweater. I got it this week, and the color is SO GOOD. I'm so bummed that it is sold out already! I will keep an eye out for it to come back in stock. The photo above is exactly the color that it is in person. It's such a unique green. I am thrilled to wear it, and this is my first cashmere piece from the brand. The quality is lovely. It's soft, lofty, and has a nice, tight crewneck. They also sent me this gorgeous brown cardigan. The brown hue is so rich and cozy. I've always admired this cardigan style. I pinch myself whenever Tuckernuck sends me things. They are my favorite brand to wear. They do current style so well while keeping things fresh and unique, but still offering lots of classic options, too.
Over the last month or so, I've been ruminating over the fact that I want to love and wear clogs, but I cannot pull them off. I, unfortunately, was right. I ordered these Clogs to try, and this was the only outfit in which I felt OK wearing them. The outfit is SO comfortable and makes me so excited for cooler weather. I love the look of the clogs with this outfit. I also love the look of clogs on other people. The 'AHA' moment came when I realized that clogs are just the fall/winter version of comfort sandals. In other words, I'll only wear them with lounge clothes. I kept trying to pair the clogs with nicer outfits, but I just didn't feel like myself. But when paired with lounge clothes, I felt good. Half of the time, what you wear is more about feeling than anything else. So I'm returning these clogs, but I am going to try again and find a pair to wear this autumn with my cute lounge sets! The search is on!You can find me on ShopMy, where I link all of my outfits, favorite finds, home decor, beauty, and more! I am constantly updating it with the latest! Butcher Box Code: SYDNEY60
Eating: I've been partnering with Butcher Box on Instagram, and I really have to sing their praises. It's a meat and seafood subscription service. We have made so many incredible meals just in this past week. I am not creative when I grocery shop. Most of the time, I just buy chicken breast. What I love about Butcher Box is the variety of products you get! We made pulled pork, seared scallops in a white wine sauce over pasta, and the most delicious grilled boneless chicken thighs! The photos aren't gorgeous, but we have been eating well!
On another note! This was my loot from Simmons Farm! They had beautiful produce in their market. I couldn't resist snagging an apple blossom, which I can confirm was absolutely delicious!
Sale: Frame Friends and Family starts today, and their site is 25% off. They make some of my favorite jeans, and it's nice to get them on sale because they are pricey! These are my go-to pair right now from the brand!
ThirdLove is having a 25% off sale now through 9/22! I really like their no-show thong underwear. If you're a fan of the Hollister underwear I've shared many times, you will love this! Hollister, unfortunately, discontinued their underwear! Doesn't it always happen that way?!
Watching: So looking forward to Nobody Wants This season two, which premieres on October 23rd! I enjoyed the first season. Seth Cohen has my heart!
There is going to be a The Summer I Turned Pretty movie?! I haven't watched the last episode in the 3rd season yet, so don't spoil it for me!
Drinking: Earlier this week, I shared a recipe for a tomato martini!
Loving: If you are looking for a very affordable yet effective and gentle skincare product, this new moisturizer from Versed is amazing. It's super hydrating but still light enough to wear under makeup. If you get dry skin in the winter, this is the perfect layer to add on for extra moisture. I find myself using it when I want to have a night off from things like AHAs, BHAs, retinols, etc. It's only $20. This is also nice to have on hand because it's actively calming.
Wanting: If you are hosting a party/event soon, this gorgeous beverage tub is just $50! This chocolate brown bag is the perfect mix of textures. This necklace is a lovely way to add a pop of color to any autumnal outfit. The most beautiful boots I've seen in a longggg time! An adorable and creative bag charm. Just ordered these slippers for fall. I love that they have a cushioned and supportive footbed (something my Uggs lack) and that they are machine washable (another thing my Uggs lack). My jaw dropped when I saw this under $350 leather bag!!! It's so unique and reminds me of Samantha Stevens. I absolutely love this skirt. I have burgundy boots that would pair perfectly with it! Speaking of boots, these are beautiful! Some really pretty quilted jackets and vests are out right now, like this navy option, this colorful option, and this reversible option! This planter is gorgeous and looks like the perfect windowsill decor. I'm thinking you could plant 2-3 herbs! I always have basil growing on my windowsill, regardless of the time of year! I love Fair Isle, and this sweater is great because it is done in colors that work all fall/winter long instead of just for the holiday season. This is a WOW cocktail dress! Unfortunately, I think it has too much white to wear as a wedding guest, but it would work for any other cocktail event! These green velvet loafers get two thumbs up from me! Target has Christmas things out already. I'm all about celebrating early, but wow, this is EARLY! This is such a cool perfume bottle. This is such an elegant yet cozy coat. This autumnal mug belongs in my cabinet! Adding these ballet flats to my cart!
Pittsburgh: Kind of bummed to see Caste Village being sold to an investment group. Caste Village has been privately owned here in Pittsburgh for 75 years. It’s technically just a shopping center/strip mall, but out of all the strip malls in the city (and there are plenty), I think this one has some character. I’ve always loved the old-school charm of Caste, and while it seems the new owners have plans for some cosmetic updates, I hope they don’t modernize it too much. My dad grew up in Whitehall, so many of my childhood memories are tied to this place: watching the 4th of July fireworks, having breakfast at Dietz’s after church, grabbing wings at Armstrong’s, bowling at Princess Lanes, and lunching with my Grammie and “the ladies” at Frisch’s, where we always finished with a slice of cherry pie. I loved getting to pick out whatever I wanted from the dollar store (a huge deal as a kid, ha!). One summer during college, I even worked as a waitress at Gianna Via’s, our family friend’s restaurant. And honestly, who doesn’t love Silk Road for the mala beans?! I think Pittsburgh (and its suburbs) has a unique and unpretentious charm to it that some cities lack. I believe places like Sarafino's, D's Dogs, Legends on the north shore, Monterey Pub, Penn Mac, Dairy Delite- those gritty, family-owned spots are truly what sets Pittsburgh apart. I think Caste Village has that gritty, but charming, family-owned feel. It seems silly to write so much about a strip mall, but I hope my generation works to preserve some of these family-owned spots. It starts with us giving business to these places!
Amazon Rec: I just had to reorder this balsamic. We use it weekly for dressings. It's pricey, yes, but it makes everything taste so much better!

Smelling: I'm not a pumpkin candle gal. I love fall scents, but usually, if 'pumpkin' is in the name, it's a no-go for me. However, this is an outlier. This Pumpkin Chai scent is so warm and cozy, but not overly sweet like I find other pumpkin candles to smell. P.S. A few people messaged me on IG about this photo and were asking if Henry was OK. He is OK! We had his pawprint done through Cowtown Clay, and it's something I keep out. I love it so much.
