Hope you all are having a wonderful week! It's been pretty routine this week, though I did get to meet some girlfriends for breakfast on Tuesday, which was a real treat! We got Curbside in Ohara because that's where my girlfriend lives, and it was SO good. I've had it one other time, a long time ago, but I got the 'Speecy Spicy' sandwich and it was just amazing!
At this point, I am in full holiday mode over here with gift guide prep and that kind of thing. It's a whirlwind, but I LOVE it. Speaking of holiday- do any of you have any good pre-lit (warm white) 8' Christmas tree recs? I need a new one, and 8' is a bit tough since there are mostly 7.5 and 9' trees. I asked you all on IG, and I know many of you would love some tree recs. I'll eventually compile all the top recs into one post so you can browse, too —maybe next week, but I'm thinking more likely the last week of October!
Also, if you have any particular outfits you'd like to see styled or are shopping for anything particular for the holidays or as a gift for someone else, please let me know!
The most frustrating thing happened this week with my iPhone! I got the iPhone with the largest storage (I have the 15 Pro Max). My phone was being so slow and laggy, so I restarted it. All of a sudden, the storage was full! The last time I checked, a few weeks ago, I had well over 150GB of storage left and hadn't added anything significant storage-wise to my phone. It took me hours over two days to get it under control. Phew. Technology can be so helpful, but SO frustrating sometimes!
Wearing: It was another very casual week! Not too many glamorous outfits!
You can find me on ShopMy, where I link all of my outfits, favorite finds, home decor, beauty, and more! I am constantly updating it with the latest! You can also follow me on the LTK app. Plus, you are able to access all of my posts, here, on my website!
Eating: We had a simple Saturday. I did some work and some chores/tasks I had been putting off. We made the best escarole and bean soup for dinner, and started the show Task on HBO, and I lit a new candle that I think is now one of my favorite candles of all time. It was my idea of perfection. I really needed that downtime, as we have been traveling and socializing a lot lately!
clogs on sale!
Sale: Smathers and Branson is 20% off through 10/22. Their needlepoint belts make the best gift. I've given both my husband and dad belts before, and they are always such a hit!
Rothy's is up to 25% off! I most recently got the viral clogs. If you're on the fence, this is your sign. They are not the most beautiful, but my goodness, are they comfortable.
Vineyard Vines is up to 40% off! So many great pieces this season. I know many of you love my fair isle shell crewneck sweater, and that's 45% off! Don't sleep on the men's. My husband loves VV. He just got this cashmere pullover in the dark green after loving it in the mint color!
Watching: I'm fully into Task now! It's on HBO. It's really the only show we are watching, but it's one of those shows where you become hooked after the first episode. We are not caught up. I think we are about 3 episodes in!
Loving: This Cardigan is heirloom-quality. It's even better than I was expecting. I got a size small and it is nice and roomy. It's so timeless and cozy. It's such a simple cardigan, but the materials, shape, and construction are so elegant.
Wanting: Helllloooo perfect fall/winter wedding guest/event dress! These Christmas tree cocktail napkins are GOOD! I love that chartreuse is really having a moment because it's such a good winter color, as it pairs so perfectly with a deep burgundy/oxblood or black velvet or navy blue! The coziest winter boots! Very into this new CS collection... much cuter than their usual prints! I love love love this tree skirt! Fun red bow heels under $50! This throw pillow is darling. The shape of this faux leather jacket is perfect! Very into this scarf trend! Tuckernuck launched their 'party shop' and it's packed with party-ready pieces. This brand is new on my radar and wowwww! This vest with a full, a-line taffeta skirt would be epic. The Nantucket print is finally on the RR website. The ideal gift for a fellow Nantucket-lover! Have you all seen Martha Stewart's new skincare line? I honestly eyeroll every time a celebrity comes out with a skincare, makeup, or alcohol brand because they are truly a dime a dozen. I'm always hesitant to try anything. The most recent time I tried a celebrity's line, Commence, a haircare line by Brooke Shields, I was thoroughly impressed, so who knows. Anyway, consider my cautiously intrigued! I really want to try these pants because I've seen so many rave about them. I'm really into the orange- such an easy way to add a bright pop of color in the winter months. This is a denim tuxedo shirt... something I never knew I even wanted until now. Love.
Pittsburgh: We went to Mad Mex the other night, and I was so excited to get the Gobblerito. I haven't had it in years. But it just wasn't as good as I remembered it. It's supposed to be a Thanksgiving meal in a burrito, which it was, but to me, it tasted bland. It definitely needs some sort of brightness to it- maybe the crunch from some green beans or something. I can't put my finger on it!
Amazon Rec: This hanger storage rack is likely something you didn't know you needed. That's how I felt when I got it! It keeps all of my hangers in one place and in an organized manner! So simple, but such a 'nice to have'.
You can find more of my Amazon favorites, here on my Amazon page where I am constantly updating it with all of my finds and top picks from home, beauty, fashion, and more!
Smelling: This is quite possibly the best candle I've ever smelled. FE sent me a package of some of their goodies, and this candle just blew me away! It's so light and fresh but also fragrant and cozy. If you like rosemary, you will love love this!
Traveling: We are meeting friends in DC later next month, but haven't booked a hotel yet. We've been so many times and stayed in so many hotels over the years- is there one you all would recommend? We've done the Willard, Hay Adams, Mayflower, JW Marriott, W, Lyle, and more that I'm likely forgetting.
