I can’t believe Halloween is this Friday! Once it’s over, October will be behind us, and we’ll officially be on our way to the holiday season. As much as I adore the holidays, October has always been my favorite month, so it feels a bit bittersweet when it comes to an end.
That said, November is another favorite of mine. I’ve always loved the anticipation leading up to the holidays even more than the holidays themselves. The first festive commercial on TV, nostalgic movies, cozy candle scents, time spent with family and friends, the glow of holiday lights, timeless music, delicious food, a packed calendar, and of course, endless opportunities for holiday party outfits!
I was recently gifted this Sequin Dress from a new-to-me brand, and as soon as I slipped it on, I could practically feel the party assembling around me. It’s such a fun piece. The design mimics tortoiseshell. Each little disc is a sequin, but instead of being overly sparkly, they’re sleek and reflective, giving the dress a modern, sleek, and shiny look rather than sparkly. The sequins are attached to nude mesh fabric, adding beautiful texture and dimension. This dress is truly something unique!

I thought I’d share a few more holiday outfit ideas to help you get inspired for the season ahead. Many of these looks feature wardrobe staples you likely already own. For example, adding sequins to a blazer you already own, or wearing the same black pants two nights in a row while switching up the pants and shoes!
I was sent this
Velvet Jacket and really wanted to wear it out to dinner, though it does need to be tailored a touch, but I wore it anyway. We were going to a casual restaurant so I paired the jacket with coated jeans that I've had for years. I bought them from Anny Taylor on clearance and I've worn them SO much. They're just a little bit dressier/more interesting than jeans because of their sheen. I could not recommend coated pants more, especially during the holiday season! I think my favorite thing during the holiday season is mixing so many different fabric textures: faux fur, velvet, sequins, cashmere, etc.

I have had this black mockneck tank for 10 yeaqrs. I got it on sale at Club Monaco (RIP)... it's still in business but not at all the same anymore. This
Similar Black Top is perfect and on sale right now under $25. I wear this so much with skirts year round! I really love
this embellished mockneck top on sale, too. I had to return this
Skirt as it was sadly too small but it is stunning if you are looking for a special piece!
This is such a simple, elegant dress. The fabric is so strethcy it almost feels like I am wearing athletic clothing. It hugs in all of the right places and is just so easy to wear. This is perfect for those events where you don't feel like being in fancy clothing- you get that dressed up look but with so much comfort.
These are the BEST
Pants. They feel like sweatpants but look like trousers. They are so elegant and come in mamy colors but I think black and navy are most versatile. Anyway, they are an absolute staple in the colder months but especially during the holiday season. An outfit like this is perfect for a holiday work luncheon or more casual holiday party.
