Lately

No filter!

Hope you all have had a great week so far! We’re nearing the end of our time in Florida (Saturday), which feels bittersweet because it has been such a gift to be here. I’m someone who gets homesick easily. I love my bed and my routine. By the end of a trip or vacation, I'm always itching to get home. But this time, I haven't missed much.

The stretch of extreme cold back in Pittsburgh was really starting to wear on me, both mentally and physically. I had lingering sinus issues for weeks due to the dry air. I did not feel like myself. I truly thought there was no light at the end of the tunnel! Within a day of being in Florida’s humidity, they cleared right up. I felt so relieved to feel back to my usual self. I don’t usually mind winter, but this one has been brutal, as I am sure many of you are nodding your head in agreement. I’m just so thankful we planned this trip when we did. We booked it back in early fall without knowing what the season would bring, and it turned out to be such a blessing. We're already considering making this a yearly thing!

My favorite part of the trip was not the amazing dinners or anything 'big'. I just loved being able to sit outside and work on my computer, go on long walks without a coat, eat meals outside, and spend time with my family! The entire 30a area is so dog-friendly, I was floored by how many places I could bring Henry. Boutiques and shops all seemed to have treats on hand for pups. I am not sure who loved it more, my husband and I or Henry! It made me laugh at the number of people who would come up and compliment his very good behaviour. Core memories were made, that's for sure. It was also a reminder that the simple things in life, like the warmth from the sun on your skin or the calm that washes over from the sound of the ocean waves, are so very important to notice and relish.

The prettiest embroidery detail on the sleeves of this dress!

A classic knit polo! Looks so cute with tennis skirts. I sized up to a medium, it runs a touch small.

Love that these white jeans are comfortable and the pockets don't show through much! I also love the fit of this Knit Polo Shirt. It seems 'boring', but this is such a great basic!

Wearing: I'm doing a partnership on Instagram with Daily Drills, and these are the pieces they sent me from their drop, which goes live today at 1pm EST. If you are looking for high-quality lounge and athletic pieces, this is a great brand for that. Their sweatshirts are SO comfortable and such a great fit. They're 100% cotton. Their pieces are made to be mixed and matched, so they release pieces in many colors. I love that the sweats can pair with the athletic pieces.

You can find me on ShopMy, where I link all of my outfits, favorite finds, home decor, beauty, and more! I am constantly updating it with the latest! You can also follow me on the LTK app. Plus, you are able to access all of my posts, here, on my website!

Eating: We went to a lovely restaurant in Alys, called Citizen. We ordered oysters, and, as many places do, they served them with some saltines on the side (you can see them in the top right of the photo). Normally, I don't care much for saltines. But my mom's hand grazed the container and said, 'They're warm!' She tried them and said, 'These are incredible; they must be homemade.' We asked our server about them, and she was so kind to pass along the 'recipe' if you can even call it that! All you do is cover the saltines (she said they use the 'Premium' brand) with butter and bake at 500 for 5 minutes. They tasted croissant-like and became much flakier. I am going to do this- how easy, and it made them taste gourmet.

Sale: Dermstore's up to 20% off sale (use code SUMMERWIND) launched this week and runs through 3/12. My #1 rec would be this night cream. The sticker shock is real with that product, but to me, it has been worth it. It costs less than AB, and I prefer it. It's so hydrating and gives me such a dewy look. I find that the older I get, the more important and helpful products with actives become, but also equally important is just making sure my face is fully hydrated at all times. Hydration makes such a big difference, and I learned that the hard way this winter. A newer-to-me product is this tinted sunscreen. It's very similar to the diamond cocoon cream that I have shared with you all many times, but this one has SPF 40. It's been the sunscreen I've applied daily here in Florida, and it has worked so well, giving me an even skin tone and a dewy complexion.

Watching:
I started Paradise on Hulu. So far, it's very different than season 1. I am only about 1 episode in, though, so I want to give it more of a chance. I have Love Story on my list- the show about CBK! Her style isn't exactly my personal taste, but I've always admired her restraint and simplicity in fashion. I am very into Summer House. It's a show I never miss! But truth be told, I haven't been watching much TV, but there will be plenty of time to do that once I am home!

Listening: If you want calm, enjoyable background music, try this 'Pulled Into a Dream' album from Sean Angus Watson. 'Treehouse Days' is my favorite, but they're all lovely.

Loving: My packing strategy when it comes to a pool or beach bag is to pack it in, and that's just what I did with this tote! It's the perfect large size, but not too oversized. It fits everything you need, and you can wipe it down on the inside or the outside. It also has a convenient pouch for your phone and other essentials.

Eyeshadow in Beam

I'm not a big eyeshadow gal, so take this with a grain of salt, but I really love this eyeshadow in the shade 'beam'. I just swipe it all over my lid, and it gives me a warm, glowy look. It could not be easier. The swatch is on my hand below the shadow, it's very subtle!

Wanting:
Being in Florida has me very into hats right now, and I love the shape and color of this one. A gorgeous take on a ginger jar. The *best* kitchen towels (and somehow the least costly) are back in stock!! A classic basket-style spring/summer handbagThese copper planters are so pretty and would look adorable on a windowsill with herbs. This linen jacket is a show-stopper! This is another incredible coat, albeit much pricier! This sweater is giving J.Crew circa 2012 in the best way! Chic, neutral sandals. Headed somewhere warm for spring break? This pink-and-green suit is adorable! There are sooo many new arrivals at Tuckernuck, and it's no surprise that most of them are gorgeous. I love this skirt, this dress, and these earrings. This is such a cool turquoise handbag. Love the stripe down these leggings. The cutest placecard holders! Love these salad plates that would make for a gorgeous spring tablescape. Graza is one of our favorite olive oil brands, and they just came out with mayo! The most beautiful blue and white skirt. Such a cute cosmetic case. Target x Roller Rabbit launches Sunday! New Lake arrivals! These are giving Manolo for much less! I have and love these flats in suede, and I'm eyeing the raffia for spring

Pittsburgh: My husband went to Lucatino and said it was SO good. It's a new Italian spot in Carnegie and I am itching to go!

Amazon Rec: This is a random one, but so useful. You can place panty liners inside a hat to prevent it from absorbing sweat, keep makeup from rubbing onto the hat, and keep the area that touches the forehead clean (to avoid acne). Once you are done wearing the hat for the day, you can just toss the panty liner. I recommend these because they are the thinnest I've ever come by, and also 100% organic cotton. You can cut them lengthwise to get a bigger bang for your buck. I know it sounds a bit odd, but it works so well. They sell liners specifically made for hats, but I find the materials to be lower quality than those in panty liners.

You can find more of my Amazon favorites, here on my Amazon page where I am constantly updating it with all of my finds and top picks from home, beauty, fashion, and more!

Smelling: Love this candle brand, but this Olive candle is one I most recently smelled, and it is SO good!! It's warm and woodsy, with a hint of bergamot and maybe even some vetiver, two of my favorite scent notes. I am definitely going to order this the next time I need a candle!

Traveling: I'm headed to Naples next and then to San Francisco/Napa, so I have a busier travel schedule coming up!
