Color Crush: Chartreuse Green

My pink bag is an old Mark Cross, and my ballet flats are Chanel.

I have been so drawn to chartreuse hues in the last year or so. It's such a punchy, remarkable color, and so fun to wear. Chartreuse can skew more yellow at times, but I prefer it when it skews more green, as I find that is what looks better with my coloring.

I wore an all chartreuse/green outfit the other evening and loved it. It was a more casual iteration of this outfit that I wore around the holiday season. I have a few different colors of these Pants. They're so comfortable, it's like wearing pajama pants, yet I think they look elegant.

If you are stumped about how to style chartreuse, I think the colors that complement it best are pink, navy, burgundy, chocolate brown, turquoise, black, coral, and light blue. If you ever feel intimidated by a color, just look at the color wheel and select something complementary (which would be the opposite on the wheel) or ground the color with a neutral like black, white, navy, cream, gray, etc. I think it's always good to keep the color's temperature in mind, too. I mentioned I prefer the greener version of chartreuse, which tends to be cooler-toned than something a bit more yellow! This can help when you select jewelry or accessories!

I thought I'd round up some pretty chartreuse picks. I think the color looks great in small doses or in larger doses like the outfit I wore at the top of this post! Something like this Shift Dress would be perfect for Easter!
