There is a small park about a block away from our house that my sister, Callie, and I frequent to play with Mac. One night, we decided to head to the park, Mac in tow, and snap some photos as well. Mac is getting older, so he is much more calm.. meanwhile, Callie and I did most of the running around! 

It's so much fun to spend time with our pup and each other. I love that as we get older, Callie and I get closer. It's fun to spend time with Mac, too, because I may be biased, but he really is the best in the entire world, we all love him so so much. 

This outfit was so carefree and simple which is exactly what I love most about it. The openness of the tank was so perfect to wear on a hot summer night as well as the elastic waisted shorts. I've worn these shorts so many times, at under $50, the cost per wear is probably in the negatives by now! And of course, I'm always in Jack Rogers. I seriously wear a pair daily. They are so comfortable and are basically a symbol of summer to me. I even get away with wearing them to work sometimes (score!).  Post-park, we walked over to our local ice cream shop to cool down with a scoop. Mac loves vanilla. There really is nothing better than summer nights, is there?! Have a fabulous day!

I don't wear a lot of brown, but for some reason, this skirt appealed to me. The buttons down the front remind me of a denim skirt I use to have when I was a child. It's somewhat of a different look than what I usually sport, but I think it works well for work and for a nice dinner out. 

I'm really excited to wear it come fall, when I like to sport brown the most. I think it will look great with a cozy cashmere sweater and riding boots. But for now, I paired it with one of my go-to basics: a draped sleeveless top ($50!) and these bright turquoise earrings. Have a fabulous day!

Everyone, I am IN LOVE with this dress. I had super low expectations and was thinking I would see it and return it but it is so fabulous. Not to mention, the price for the quality is really good too. The fabric is heavier, but works in all seasons, for sure. You can dress it up for a cocktail party, wearing it to work or dress it down with tights and boots in the dead of winter. 

I have a hard time finding great work dresses. Because I sit at a desk, I am always looking for dresses that are comfortable and that are made with fabrics that don't wrinkle easily. One of my biggest pet peeves is ironing my outfit in the morning and looking great when I get to to work, but from sitting and getting up and down so much, I become a wrinkled mess by the end of the day! I like that this fabric will look fresh and put together all day! As far as sizing goes, I am wearing a size. two. It runs really big, so definitely size down! 

I'd also like to mention that the necklace and shoes I am wearing are both under $50! The shoes are gorgeous and high quality. They look much pricier than what I paid! I needed a black shoe like this and was glad to have found such a great pair at an even better price point. I didn't get the necklace to go with the dress, but I think it works nicely. I think the necklace will look great against LBD's, which is why I got it!
