How To?

I thought since today was the start of my school's sorority recruitment, I'd post my own tips on how to dress up a t-shirt. Of course, there is only so much "dressing up" you can do with a t-shirt! This is not only for girls in sororities but anyone in any organization that needs to wear a t-shirt to spread the word about their organization. As many of my long time readers no, I rarely, if ever, wear gymwear or sweats to class, however, I do wear sorority letters and t-shirts when we are supposed to (which is practically everyday during recruitment season!). With that said, I don't pair my sorority t-shirts with gym shorts or sweatshirts and wear my hair in a pony tail (except when actually going to the gym!). I always try to make this type of casual outfit look as put together as possible.

Sorry about the fuzziness of this picture! Here I paired my sorority letters with Banana Republic seersucker shorts, a double strand of pearls, pearl earrings and a bow in my hair. This look is still casual but much more put together looking than just wearing the t-shirt with running shorts and tennis shoes.
Sorry again about the fuzziness. This is one of our recruitment shirts that my wonderful roommate designed (isn't she talented?!). It is a navy-blue v-neck t-shirt with a little bit of pink and white. Here, I paired this shirt with a Vineyard Vines pink seersucker skirt, pearls, and a bow headband.
Do you try and dress up your t-shirts when you have to wear them? I would love to hear your tips! Have a fabulous day!
Yours,
sCe

Since I rarely take off my pearls (only to shower), I always wear pearls when its a tshirt or Jersey day. Having your hair & makeup done is a must, for our chapter at least. Tshirts are definitely no excuse to look sloppy

Your posts tent to be posted at the appropriate time! My daughter had the intro meeting about recruitment last night and it officially starts tonight. They were told tonight is the night to wear tees and she is wearing her Recruitment t-shirt tonight. (The back is pictured on her blog post from yesterday.) We were talking on the phone last night about how to make it super cute and stand out among all the girls who are rushing.

cute post! Back when I was at Clemson we used to have "letter shirt day" every Tuesday. Of course, like you, I loved dressing up my letter shirts with a cute skirt.
