I also need help with make-up recommendations. I recently received a generous Sephora gift card from one of my aunts and I am so excited to go on a little make-up shopping spree. I have said many times before and done several make-up posts about how I wear very little make-up and often use drugstore make-up so weigh in on what you love! I currently swear by my lip products and mascara but any recommendations would be so helpful!
- What make-up product could you not live without?
- What is not worth the price?
- What have you tried and won't be purchasing again?
Any answers to any of these questions would be a big help! Thank you so much! Have a fabulous day!
Yours,
sCe

I know it's racey but check out 50 Shades of Grey, I'm guilty of having read 2 of the 3 books in the span of 3 days!
Hi there! Congratulations on your graduation - I think you are just adorable and I wish you the best in this next chapter.
I'm a total Sephora junkie! I adore Cargo eyeshadows; they are just nice and velvety and wear really well. I also love Benefit Lemon Aid eyeshadow primer. My favorite Sephora splurge of all time is my Clarisonic brush. It has made a huge difference in my skin.
Southern Charm! Just came out. Enjoy!
you should definitly check out the laura mercier tinted moisturizer or the chanel aqua foundation. also the dior show mascara is amazing!! also if you are looking for a good eyeshadow pallet with very neutral wearable colors you should look at the naked pallet by urban decay. its literally the only eyeshadow i use anymore.
hope this helps
If you don't already have them, I would invest in some good makeup brushes. I have the Sephora professional ones and they really have changed the way my makeup looks on me. With that said, I love Sephora's daily makeup brush cleaner (which is more of a disinfectant than a shampoo). You'd be amazed at how much comes off of your brushes with it! I've also noticed that my skin looks clearer now that I've started disinfecting my brushes daily.
I'm not sure if you wear eyeliner a lot, but I swear by Tarte's EmphasEYES aqua-gel eyeliner. Personally I hate dragging a pencil over my eyelid multiple times, and Tarte's eyeliner glides right on...I love it!
As far as products that you don't need to spend the money on, I'd say eyeshadow. I have some from Sephora and drugstore brands work just as well.
I hope this helps! Here are the links to the brush disinfectant and the eyeliner incase you want to check them out:

Well, it's not EXACTLY summer reading material, but The Book Thief is one of my all time favorite books. If you liked The Boy with Striped Pajamas, you'll love this!
As for the makeup, it kind of depends on your skin type. I really like the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Foundation, which I've heard is a great dupe for the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation (not to mention it's about 1/5 of the price of the NARS!)
For eye shadows/eyeliner I really enjoy Urban Decay products. They have great palettes, NARS Orgasm blush or Deep Throat (great names, huh?) and for bronzer try Laguna! If you want any more help, just email me!
Have you joined the site Good Reads? I just did the other day because I am always looking for new books to read. It gives you recommendations based off of previous books you have read and whether or not you liked them. Summer at Tiffany's is one of my favorite Summertime books too.
Recently I've finished Commencement by Courtney Sullivan, and loved it! Not to mention by subect it's perfect for recent college grads. Also you can't go wrong with anything by Hildebrand or Weiner as they are the queens of beach reads. AS for Sephora I can't seem to get enough of benefits high beam. It's by far THE most amazing highlighter I've ever used.
I will have to read Summer at Tiffany's and love book suggestions and last summer I loved Nicholas Sparks and Jodi Picoult novels so we shall see what catches me at the book store this summer. Congrats again on graduating and I know you read my JaneAustenPrepster blog but I wanted to let you know that I moved over to http://preppostgrad.blogspot.com/
Jealous of that gift card :)
Dior Show mascara is hands down the best. Also Tarte amazonian clay blush in Blissful is my go-to blush for a healthy glow!
I agree with the person above who said to invest in good makeup brushes. They really do make all the difference!
As far as good summer reads go, I suggest The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, or Maine or Commencement by J. Courtney Sullivan (one of my favorite authors).
Tinted moisturizer is my favorite go to (besides mascara of course!) It's so light & airy and doesn't feel thick at all- perfect for summer. I swear by bare essentuals and laura mercier. :-)
As far as books go, you should join GoodReads. By far, my favorite app now! It helps keep track of your books, recommends books to you & you can have a "to read" shelf. I just read Disengaged by Beth Orsoff and it was a great easy and fun read! Let me know if you want anymore suggestions- I could go on and on when it comes to books!
Nars Blush in Orgasm and Benefit Hoola Bronzer are two items I swear by! The sephora brand eye shadow is also great, too, and for an even better price!
Can't say enough good about Firefly Lane. Other recent favorites are American Wife and Saving CeeCee Honeycutt!!
Ah, I adore Sephora. To answer your questions, I honestly would go insane without my Clinique quickliner and Benefit's Erase Paste. I personally didn't think NARS Orgasm blush was really special given it's price. And I probably wouldn't buy another Anastasia of Beverly Hills brow kit, but the gel is great.
You should check out the website http://www.whatshouldireadnext.com/
As far as makeup there's no way I could live without, I'm definitely going to have to say its Lancome's EFFACERNES - Waterproof Protective Undereye Concealer. I LOVE this product especially during summer. Sephora sells it too :)
Stay away from all the Sephora brand primers. I've tried two of them now and they have a horrible smell that stays with you all day once it's on.
Oh, I've got a buncha summer read for ya:
Southern Charm - The Tinz
Skinnydipping - Bethenny Frankel
The Rockstar in Seat 3A - Jill Kargman
The Starboard Sea - Amber Dermont
The House at Tyneford - Natasha Solomons
American Wife - Curtis Sittenfeld
The Ivy Chronicles - Erin Quinn
That should keep us both busy reading for a good chunk of the summer...XXOO
Clarisonic mia facial brush definately! It will make all your facial products work even better!
