Cold Feet

Yesterday, we got hit with a winter wonderland. It was truly the best. I love the snow. I love skiing. I love bundling-up, fires, hot beverages, lots of blankets and anything else that comes with snowy weather. I don't think I am alone when I say that I really don't like cold feet... I mean who does?

Well... the 6" L.L. Bean boots are not cutting it here in Pittsburgh. We need to bring out the big guns boots. I am debating between several pairs and I need your help...

Option #3: Hunter boots (must have the inserts as well!!).

To be honest, I really don't care what they look like (yikes... I never thought I'd say that). I honestly just want them for function and practical reasons that will keep my toes nice and toasty. Which pair do you have and do you like/dislike them? What do you recommend? Have a fabulous day!
Yours,
sCe

Please, please, please not the Joan of Arc model! It's such a trendy, silly look and has been done to death. Better to stick with the classic Bean shearling model IMO. :)

All cute options but as someone who lives in Chicago and deals with frigid Midwest winters I have to warn you that Hunter boots don't really cut it in terms of keeping your tootsies warm in the winter. I love the look of them, and actually have two pairs, nothing will keep your feet dryer but they really don't keep your feet warm, even with inserts. My friends all agree. I wear mine with inserts and wool ski socks and still find my feet get cold if I'm outside for a while. I'd go with one of your other wo picks. All three are cute options though!

While I adore my Hunters with socks (and they now make a shearling footbed!) for rain / minor snow, Sorels are the way to go. Great traction and keep you super warm and dry!

I adore my Hunters with the socks for rain / minor snow, but Sorrels are the wAy to go! Super warm and dry and great traction.

I love my Hunters with the Grizzly liner! They keep my feet nice and warm.

I live in Maine so I am biased towards the Bean Boots since they are made in the town I live in. I have shearling lined ones that keep my feet nice and toasty when it's very cold out.

I have Hunter rain boots as well and my experience has been the same as CLP and KW. They do not keep my feet warm in the snow even when I wear wool socks and fleece liners.

I live in the Midwest and have done my research, I considered all your same options too but went with the privo arctic boots by Clark's in the camel color. The pictures don't do them justice! The red laces are amazing and your can wear the flap up or down. The shearling keeps me warm, and they have great traction and are waterproof. The best part is they are on sale currently - http://www.clarksusa.com/eng/product/arctic_adventure/61354

I think the Hunters would be adorable with inserts, and you could use them in the rain too! I found some cute(ish) ones from Kohls that were a great price and keep my toes warm! Be sure to use extra furry socks ;)

Love that first pair! I usually just stick with hunters although I do need some furry inserts!

Happy Holidays! I just purchased option #2 above in October, and I absolutely love them! They are warm, cute, and tall enough to keep your feet, ankles, and much of your calves warm. I love that I have the option to turn the flap down as well. Pair them with LL Bean's wool socks... and you are set!

I'm in Minnesota and sweat by Sorel's. They are seriously the only winter boots I've owned (and trust me, I've owned an obnoxious amount!) that actually keep my feet WARM without layering on thick socks. Serious boots... and when it comes to winter weather, function over fashion.

Hunter Boots don't cut it for snowy winters, and the tall ones can be tough to drive in because they aren't that flexible. I would go with L.L. Bean for sure!

I have the Sorrels in red with fur on top and LOVE them. I bought them last winter. They are SOOOOO warm! They are awfully cute too. I get compliments on them all the time.

Although I LOVE the Sorels, I agree with them being trendy and Hunters won't keep your feet warm in the truly cold winter and snow you get.

I am a Bean girl and you can't go wrong with the Bean boots. They are never wrong with the temperature levels for their products. If you are unsure, give them a call. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Even better, they have a great sale going on right now!
