With 2014 less than 48 hours away, I thought I'd recap my favorite makeup products of 2013. I don't wear a lot of makeup on a daily basis, but this year, I got particularly interested in ways to apply makeup and added some different products into my usual repertoire.
My favorite can't live without product winner of 2013? Anastasia of Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Caramel. It takes the cake for creating fabulous eyebrows. Second runner up are the highlighting products. I love this video that shows you where to apply.
My pick for the best hair product? It's a 10 Miracle Leave In product. I don't like using product on my hair but this is fabulous. You just spray it on damp hair, brush through (with a wet brush, the best brush EVER) and blow dry (HANA Air for best hairdryer 2013). I am convinced it makes my locks 10x shinier!
What are your favorite makeup products? Or maybe you shouldn't tell me... because I like to try them all! Have a fabulous day!
these look great! I really want to try more from Tarte - I like them a lot! I listed my favorites on my blog, but I really liked Tarte's amazonian clay eye and cheek palette this year! I think you'd like it too! It's got everything you need all in one place
Love Tarte! my mom always orders the sets for me from QVC (haha) I love their BB Cream and their eye shadows are awesome. I got that highlighter from Birch Box too, it's a god send. Put i line the dark circles under my eyes with it then blend with under eye concealer and BB cream - it instantly wakes your eyes up.
Recently I have been on much more of a skincare kick than slathering on makeup. Coconut oil will change your skin! Been using it for years, read Jenna Marbles' post about it here (lots of swearing and run-on sentences, but gets the point across): http://jennamarblesblog.com/this/
I like it best as a night cream, and sometimes I will lay a warm, damp washcloth over my face after applying so it will soak in faster.
My roommate in college was really freaked out by my use of coconut oil because it is actually a food, so I switched to a night cream (total turnaround by Clinique) and have loved that, too. It is much more expensive than coconut oil, but lasts a LONG time because you don't need much.
