Beauty Products Update and Best Makeup Products of 2015

This post is an update to my post from 6 months ago. These are products I have tried since my last makeup post. It will be text heavy because I'll describe what I like/don't like about each product. Below all of my product descriptions, I've rounded up a list of my top products of 2015 another list of products I'd like to try and great beauty gift sets for the price.

Something to note before you read on: My skin is pale, but does have olive undertones and I tan easily. I also have extremely sensitive skin and prefer to use non-comodogenic brands such as Bare Minerals and Tarte whenever possible.

With all the blow drying, curling, straightening that I do to my hair, it really takes a toll on the health of my hair. I've tried so many leave in conditioners and masks in the past and none seem to be able to tackle my super thick hair. This stuff is truly a miracle. I use it twice a week, let it sit in my hair for 15 minutes and rinse it out and it's like my hair is brand new. It really puts the shine and health back into my hair. I already swear by the It's a 10 Miracle Leave in Conditioner, so it's no wonder I love another product from this brand so much.

I'm including this because it's a product I wanted to try but ended up not loving it at all. It's a white serum you can put on at night to lengthen and condition your lashes but I don't think it works. Then you are supposed to put it on before mascara to lengthen. I don't think it changes the look of my lashes whatsoever. I would not recommend this!

This is such an amazing mascara. It lengthens my lashes so well. When I want to do a full face of makeup, I like to start with Stretchex for length and the layer the Bare Minerals Lash Domination mascara overtop for a really good effect!

I went in to re-buy my Park Ave Princess Amazonian clay bronzer that I have been using for years. I love it and it's not bad for your skin. I use this product daily.. it's an easy to apply powder that lasts well. When I went in, the sales associate let me know that they came out with the palette. It's only $4 more than my usual bronzer and it comes with the full size bronzer and then a blush and highlighter. I said sure, why not. The bronzer will forever be my favorite, but the blush is by-far a new favorite of mine. It's a bright color so you don't have to load it on and blends nicely and lasts. The highlighter is pretty for the eye area, but other than that, I find it a bit too shimmery/pearlescent to use elsewhere.

Note: You can find the bronzer by itself, here

I love this palette. To me, it's really pricey and I had been debating whether or not to purchase for a long time. I watched a few YouTube videos about the product and read a bunch of the reviews and finally caved. I've been using this for several months now and would buy it again in a heartbeat when I run out. I love the glow it gives. I use the left and right powders as more of all over/setting powder and then the middle is for highlighting. It just makes my makeup look cohesive and truly glows and evens out everything! The only con is that this palette is large in size, so it's annoying to have to travel with it.

Note: This 6 color palette set would make a great gift for any makeup loving girl. The palette works with any skin tone and is a little more compact than the original palette. It's also a great deal!

I used to use this Laura Mercier duo, which I loved and used until I ran out. I went out to buy more, but ended up being steered in a different direction. This Nars Radiant creamy concealer is wonderful. It's so much more compact in my makeup bag, easier to apply since it is creamy. I really liked the color and coverage from Laura Mercier, but the application was a little rougher than I would have liked and if you have dry skin, you basically can't use it. I use my Nars concealer as a highlighter, which is why I have it in Vanilla, a very light color. I don't highlight everyday, but on occasions where I want a full face of makeup, I definitely use this. They also have a cute little travel size, too. Great for trying out the product before committing to the full size.

Note: I also still use the Creaseless Concealer (in medium) when I have an awful breakout. It's not for everyday because it is hard to work with (very thick consistency) and provides major coverage. But it's a must for covering bad breakouts!

I LOVE this concealer. Seriously, I don't think a concealer can get any better. It's so easy to apply and the color works with my skin so well. I also really like how much coverage it provides because I use it as an under eye concealer and also as a spot concealer for any blemishes.

This looks like a mini mascara tube, and when you pull out the wand, it looks just like a mini mascara wand. However, it is meant to be combed through your brows. This is what I use on my brows daily. I love Anastasia brow pencil (in carmel), but it takes a few extra minutes and day-to-day, I don't need that kind of precision. With the Bobbi Brown gel, it's basically fool proof. You just brush through and you have slightly more defined brows. When I do a full face of makeup, I'll fill in my brows with the Anastasia brow wiz pencil and then set them with the brow gel.

This works just OK. It's not my favorite and I wouldn't buy it again. It works and does a fine job, but I swear by Bare Minerals Lash Domination. It's the best I've ever used.

My favorite beauty products of 2015:
Note: All products above are products I use regularly and highly recommend. Any of these products would make a great stocking stuffer, too!

Love getting makeup/product recommendations. I have heard great things about all the It's a 10 products and will definitely need to try them out. I also have the Anatasia Contour kit and have loved it but just recently started using another contour pen by Sephora that I just blogged about! Have a great week love!

I love Ruby Woo! However, it can be quite polarizing since it's such a matte shade. If you find it's way too dry for you, Russian Red (also by MAC) is a good alternative. It's pretty much the same shade, only it's more creamy.

I love your recommendations! Have you ever tried Redken's one united? I like it better than it's a 10.

I love Ruby Woo! It brightens my entire face and wears for hours. I also just got MAC's Diva lipstick and I am loving the darker burgundy for a new look. I loved this post, thanks for the tips!
