Lilly Pulitzer Dressed for Summer Sale Picks!

Lilly Pulitzer Dressed for Summer Sale Picks!

My friends over at Lilly just launched the 'Dressed for Summer Sale' and this is such a fun surprise! Today I'm rounding up my favorites!!

Sizing: I'm wearing a size 2. This runs true to size, if anything size down.

Quality: This print isn't included but this same style is in a pretty bubble gum pink hue. I love the tie waist and this is just put together and cute! Can dress up like seen above with wedges or even throw on sneakers to make it casual!

Sizing: I'm wearing a size 2. This runs true to size.

Quality: Mila shift dresses are such a classic. This is fully lined and the cotton is always a nice heavyweight without being 'hot'. The details on every Mila dress are so well-done and I find this to be one of the best made Lilly items!

Sizing: I am wearing a size 2. This runs true to size and has a nice stretchy waist for the perfect fit. If anything, size down.

Quality: This dress is just gorgeous. It's fully lined and has the prettiest metallic details. This is a dressy dress that you could definitely wear for a cocktail party!

Sizing: I'm wearing a size 2. It fits true to size. If you have a bigger bust, I'd size up.

Quality: This is truly a beautiful dress. The fabric is high-quality and detailed. I love the metallic sheen to it and the fact that the neckline is adjustable with a hidden zipper. The lace around the waist and neckline is so pretty and very 'Lilly'.

Sizing: This runs really big. I am wearing an xs and probably could have even sized down to XXS. It's a column-style gown so there is really nowhere that it is fitted. It's not really meant to cling to your body! I had it hemmed as it was too long on me! However, the dress is not included in the sale, but the top is- which is basically the dress hemmed to a top length.

Quality: The fabric is a heavier crepe and the navy is a beautiful, deep blue. I love the intricate pearl collar details. I wore it to a black-tie wedding! The top version would be wonderful because you would be able to dress it up and down!

Sizing: True to size, small.

Quality: Love this coverup. I wear it every single summer and it's such a good one. The fabric is sheer and lightweight so it's not something you could necessarily wear over a swimsuit if you go into a restaurant but it's the perfect thing for going to and from the beach and the pool. You can also wear it with shorts and tie it up!
Sizing: Runs true to size, if anything size down. It's meant to be roomy!

Quality: This top is soooo pretty and one of my favorite Lilly tops. It looks so good paired with white jeans. The eyelet is not fully lined, but I just wear a nude bra and it's totally fine. It makes it very breathable so it's easy to wear it on hot summer days.

Quality: This dress is a fit and flare style and as sweet as can be. The pink is BRIGHT which makes me really happy but if you are not into a more neon hue, this might not be for you! However, they also are offering it in the Havana Pink Yarn Dye which is a pink and white seersucker and eyelet lace combo which is a lot more subtle! And they also have it in all white eyelet lace which is STUNNING- great for a bride-to-be! The lace detailing is stunning and the part around the waist is 'see-through'.

Sizing/Fit: This is true to size. I am wearing a size 2. It's fitted in the top and then flares out more at the bottom.
Sizing: I'm wearing a size small. This runs true to size, if anything, I would size down. It's meant to be loose!

Quality: I love pink and green so this print is always a good one. The hem is a tulip hem so it's longer in the front and back and scoops up at the sides. This makes it really easy to front tuck. The fabric is lightweight and not 'crisp' so this is more of a flowy top. It's lightweight so it's really good for hot temps! The fabric is not see-through at all.

Sizing: Runs a little big. Size down!

Quality: I love this simple dress. It's fully lined and a very lightweight silk dress. Perfect for super hot summer days. The colors are VIBRANT.

Sizing: I'm wearing a size 2. This is has a little bit of stretch (but not a ton). I'd say it runs true to size but if you are between sizes, I would size up OR if you have a larger chest or wider hips, I would size up as it is quite fitted in those areas. I definitely could have sized up.

Quality: This dress is a showstopper and something you could wear to a cocktail party as the fabric is thick and luxurious. It's textured with palm leaves and the sleeves have a dramatic flare to them. This is beautifully made.
Sizing: I'm wearing a size small. This runs a little big- I like the small as it fits a little 'oversized' and lounge-ish on me but if you want something more fitted, definitely size down. This is similar in fit to a regular popover!

Quality: This dress is one of my go-to's when I want to feel like I'm wearing lounge clothes but look a little nicer! It's just a really easy thing to wear and the fabric is thick and soft!

Sizing: This style is roomy and meant to fit that way. I usually get a size small but could size down for a less flowy fit.

Quality: This is such a Lilly classic and a gorgeous piece. It's a silky material so it looks equally as great in the office or a dressier event or with white jeans and Jack Rogers!

This is random but I came across this water bottle which is not only cute but talk about functional! It has a neoprene covering, a handle, and a phone case all in one. It's only $14! They also have cashmere under $100

Red, White, and Blue Tablescape for 4th of July

Tablecloth (also comes in blue)// Placemats//White Plates

Blue and White Bowls (on major sale)// Silverware
Shop the Table:

You all know by now that I love setting the table! I think it's just a fun and no-pressure way to be creative and I love that. When it comes to holidays, I don't love to do a lot in terms of decorations around the house, but I do love love love a themed tablescape!! Today I'm sharing the table I set for the 4th of July! I'm sure some of you may have 4th of July plans that look a lot different than in previous years, so this is just a fun inspiration for those of you who are planning to enjoy dinner at home!

A few items are from Amazon (like the placemats, ginger jar, silverware, and napkins), so if you want to snag them in time, you can! Plus, the placemats and napkins are such a steal! We use the placemats on our outdoor dining table, too, because they're not fragile and easy to wipe off!

I actually included the silverware in last week's Splurge vs. Save post as a set of the silverware that I have is about $235 less than the 'splurge version' and they're SO nice. My parents were over for dinner the other night and my mom commented on how nice they felt and looked!

Little White Dress and White Skirt

Snapped these on the hottest and most humid day we have had so far and was so glad to just throw on a lightweight non-clingy dress! I got a white eyelet dress in a very different style last year from Walmart and LOVE it. I wear it constantly so I decided to try out this one and it's going to be another favorite on rotation throughout this summer.

We snapped these photos while we were downtown picking up takeout to bring over to my parent's house. They truly have an outdoor oasis situation in their backyard so we go over as often as possible. We picked up Condado which is one of our favorite 'make-your-own-taco' places. I think it's one of my fiacĂ©'s favorites in all of Pittsburgh. They also have the best margaritas and you can get them to go!

I've been trying to dress 'nicer' when we go to my parent's house as I try to think of it as an 'outing'. I do love to dress up but the past few months haven't given me much opportunity to do so. I've taken it upon myself to dress up even if the situation doesn't really call for it!!

Another Walmart score that I have gotten recently is this flowy white Skirt. It has an elastic waist and pockets and is slightly sheer so it makes a really cute swimsuit coverup. I love it paired with one-piece swimsuits! I wore it to our club to sit out by the pool one day and my mom complimented me on it. I told her it was from Walmart and that they have a lot of cute stuff and she ended up ordering a few swimsuits for herself that are SO CUTE and inexpensive! She ordered this, this, and this and all are nice quality and so flattering on her! Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.

Everything I Wore At Montage Palmetto Bluff

Dress// Earrings (old, similar)// Basket Bag (on sale)
Gold Wedges (on sale)// Lip Color (in babe)

On Wednesday, I wrote about my trip to Montage Palmetto Bluff and got flooded with messages asking where certain things were from. I loved the outfits I wore so much!! So today's post is just going to be a post focused on what I wore with links for those who are interested! Because this was months ago, some of the pieces are sold out but some are on sale, which is great!

The first up is this beautiful white dress from a small business out of Dallas, Mi Golondrina. I discovered the brand last year (or maybe it was 2 years ago) when they did a collaboration with one of my favorite interior designers, Mark D. Sikes. I literally set an alarm for the collection so I could snag a piece- it sold out so quickly and I missed out. But I emailed them to ask if they get a return or anything if they could let me know and sure enough, they had one and I got my beloved dress!! Now, a year or two later I'm such a fan. The embroidery of their pieces is stunning and the cotton fabric is so crisp and colors are so bright. LOVE!

Dress (on sale)// Earrings// Basket Bag (on sale)
Love this dress! I want a chair upholstered in this fabric as I just love the colors and whimsical print. These Shoes are so cute and beyond comfortable because of the thicker heel.

This is one of my very favorite dresses because I cannot get over the design of the eyelet. It's so beautiful and just very different than your more traditional eyelet fabrics.

Sweater (on sale)// Cardigan (on sale)// White Jeans

I love these jeans as they hit right at the ankle and the raw hem with slits on the side is fun and slightly trendy. This belt is really cool because it is reversible. On one side there is a bamboo print and on the other, there is a classic brown leather!

Sweater (on sale)// Basket Bag (on sale)// Shoes

Aren't these pants SO fun?! They kind of reminded me of a ginger jar with beautiful prints and vibrant blues. This  Linen Shirt is one of my very favorite summertime staples. It's such a nice shirt and so soft!

You all know these are my favorite pajamas. You can read my full review of the pajamas and brand, here

Lately

This week we finally got our small back patio set up! You can see the 4-person dining set we got, here, and it turned out so well! We have a very small patio and an even smaller yard (if you can even call it that) but it is all set up now so we can enjoy our morning coffees out there, eat dinner or enjoy a cocktail in the evenings! Being outside is SUCH a mood booster and I can already tell this little setup is making me SO happy!!

This weekend we don't have much going on except for car shopping. Hoping to make a decision in the next week or two on what car I am going to get. Part of me isn't ready to let go of my beloved Passat! I've never felt 'attached' to a car but for some reason, I am to my little Passat. We'll see what happens soon I guess!

Wearing: The above outfit is basically my current work-from-home uniform. It's comfortable and cute and relaxed. I snagged this cashmere sweater recently on major sale and I love it. It is the perfect thing for air-conditioned spaces and also cool evenings.
Eating: We snagged this antipasto mix at Costco this past week and it might be one of the best Costco finds. Every single thing is SO good.
Drinking: I posted an Instagram a few weeks ago asking for white wine recommendations that are refreshing for summer. I am a cabernet drinker and cab and summertime/hot temps just don't always go great together. I don't love rosĂ© (I could take it or leave it) and I don't really love white wine. I think part of the reason I think I don't love white wine is that I haven't tried a ton (I do like Kim Crawford Sauv Blanc but don't love it). A bunch of you recommended Vinho Verde and I LOVE it. It has the slightest effervescence to it so it reminds me a bit of a prosecco and the flavor is just extremely light, fresh, and a bit tart (not sweet at all). I randomly got this brand and it was great. I seriously think that this might become my go-to summer wine. It's just very drinkable and oh my goodness there wasn't a vinho verde bottle that cost more than $10 in the state store!

Reading: A great story highlighting two brothers that started a non-profit to help children learn to swim!

Reading II: A reminder to check yourself, kids, family, and pets for ticks! This article talks specifically on how to check for them on dogs. We check Henry diligently but it's always good to be reminded!

Sale-ing II: Lisi Lerch is currently having a 30% off sale on their bridal line. A lot of pieces are neutral and are great even if you aren't a bride!

Watching:
I have started watching The Wonder Years from the beginning again. I LOVE this series and it's the perfect show to wind down at the end of the night before bed. It's free on Hulu!

Loving: This is very random but our family friend used these plastic plates as a serving tray to bring to someone's house and when you look at them, you'd never believe they were plastic. They look like a nice silver platter! That way, you can bring a dish to someone's house and not worry about getting your dish back or cleaning it or whatever but it still looks nicer than a typical plastic platter. They're called 'chargers'  online but they are plenty big for serving to a group! I added them to my Amazon page

Wanting: Have you all seen this new home brand from Target, Casaluna? I actually noticed it when I was in the store the other day because the towels were SO fluffy and plush looking and the display looked beautiful. I'm really intrigued- I've spent a ton of money on 'fancy' towels and linens in the past but this line looks/seems promising and the prices are low! An entire king sheet set is under $100 which is near impossible to find. I also love the look of these waffled towels. Not sure if they are as good as 'traditional' towels, but the look is different.

Pittsburgh-ing: So excited to see all of these outdoor tables being put up around the city!

Traveling: We have no travel planned for this summer other than going to the lake in early August which we will drive to (we drive every year anyway because we always bring Henry). Our lake house is in the middle of nowhere and we only cook at the house and stay on our dock/boat so it will be the perfect 'distanced' trip and a welcome change of scenery. I really can't wait! If you missed it, check out my travel guide from yesterday from my trip to Montage Palmetto Bluff.
