Summer Cocktail Recipes

My Favorite Recipes
Summer Cocktail Recipes
RECIPE:

Over the years I have shared a few cocktails that I have created myself based on my own preferences and have shared them on my website! I don't know about you, but I'm typically a glass of red wine gal but in the summer, when it is hot, I tend to ditch the wine and go for chilled cocktails! So today I thought I would aggregate my favorites best suited for the summer months and share them again with you all. Then, at the bottom of this post, I thought I would share some recipes I've seen online that I've bookmarked to try out!

The Pineapple jalapeno martini is great because not only is it easy to make with fresh pineapple but it's actually pretty darn good in the 'off season', too, using frozen pineapple! If you'd rather it served over ice, you can add in a little plain club soda for a less 'intense' drink (aka not a martini).

RECIPE:
This is for my fellow Trader Joe's lovers. I keep these things on hand all summer long. So delicious and So easy! Another crowd pleaser. I get messages all of the time with you all saying you love this one! Since posting this one, I've since grown to love this salt and love the rim my glass with it and if I have an orange on hand, I'll add a squeeze of an orange to the drink, too, not a ton, just a quick squeeze to add freshness along with that lime! Another fun tip is that you can actually freeze the jalapeno limeade into ice cubes and pop one or two cubes into the drink instead of a splash of it! You're then not really watering down the drink but instead, the jalapeno limeade is slowly infusing into the drink. You can also muddle some fresh jalapenos if you so choose. Sometimes if we have some on hand, I will do this for an extra dose of heat! So many variations you can do, the options are endless!

My favorite cocktail that I make, I think. You must must must muddle in some fresh cucumber, it makes all the difference in the flavor. I make these for friends and family and they are always a huge hit with everyone. I usually make them with vodka but you can truly use whatever spirit you like. It's actually delicious as a margarita with some tequila in place of the vodka and served over ice OR with gin served up martini style.

I love pina coladas but not all the sugar! This has a similar flavor with a lot less sugar than the traditional frozen cocktail!
