Outfits I Wore At The Lake

Swimsuit Old J.Crew// Hat

I have so many outfits from my time at the lake that I briefly shared on stories but not here on my website so I thought I would round them all up here. We are just a little over 2 weeks away from Labor Day Weekend so I am thinking most of these pieces will start to go on sale if they haven't already! It's a good time to snag something if you've had your eye on it!
This continues to be one of my favorite dresses of the summer. The pink color is so vibrant and literally every time I wear this dress, a stranger compliments me. It's near impossible to be unhappy wearing this bright of a dress! This fits true to size, if between sizes, size down!

I feel like these need no explanation. I love Lake pajamas and wore them every night/morning while at the lake!

Top// Shorts (also in peach)

The top and shorts are sold out but I'm mainly linking to the website so you can put it on your radar. This is the website that I visit when I want to look chic and slightly trendy but still classic. The pieces are reasonably priced, too.

I also feel like this needs to explanation. You all know how wild I am about this Agua by Agua Bendita print. I have the dress, shorts, and swimsuit in this pattern and I wear them so much that my mom made a comment to tease me about how much I wear these shorts!!

These are truly the best bike shorts ever. I wear them all of the time for walks with Henry and on my rower but they are also good for high impact workouts, too.

I think I mentioned this before but this dress was such a surprise. It's fully lined so you can wear it out and about no problem! It gives me vintage vibes in the best way and one of those things you can just throw on and feel good about but make 0 effort. I am wearing a size small. It's meant to fit roomy.

The pleated skirt totally brings me back to my cheerleading days, ha! But seriously, I love an a-line skirt and they are hard to find these days.

This floral skirt is so easy and breezy. It's fully lined but still very lightweight. I love it. I suggest sizing down as it runs big!

We took our Christmas card photo while at the lake. This is just an iPhone photo, I will share the good photo later this year. I was really thinking ahead, HA! But we have never done a 'summer' photo and normally I prefer a more seasonally appropriate photo but I think the lake really makes a nice backdrop. Our theme was clearly red, white, and blue! I almost had us wear all white to pop against the blue background but I wasn't sure what to have my husband wear for that, so this was a little easier/less effort.

I'm actually really glad to have this done and checked off my list. One less thing to think about and the photos turned out so well! You can peep a photo from this day, here.

Also, my husband is wearing under $20 Amazon Shorts. He loves them and has them in so many colors. They are almost identical to J.Crew's chino shorts. We have compared them side by side! You can't tell in this photo but my husband's belt and Henry's collar match which is what started my idea for the red, white, and blue in the first place. We found this vendor in Charleston back in March selling ribbon belts and matching pet collars and we could not resist!

This skirt is even prettier in person. It's very simple in the style but the fabric has a really nice texture and the green floral print is just gorgeous. I think this could definitely be worn in early fall with warmer tones.

I love this dress. It's another really easy 'throw-on' dress because once it's on, you look cute and put together. No extra accessories are needed and it is SO comfortable.

I love the Tuckernuck skorts! I wear them weekly in the summer. They are comfortable and so cute. Sometimes people don't even realize it's an athletic skort, they are that cute!

I've already planned which engagement photo we are using for Christmas cards this year. I've never done cards before so I'm very excited to start this tradition. Any ideas when Dogwood Hill releases their cards?

Kelly! So so exciting!!!!! I think it’s usually mid-September! I can’t wait to see what they have this year!

Hannah, thank you! My headband is from Mi Golondrina and is several years old so it is no longer available!
