Lately

Happy June! Wow, we are practically halfway through the year!

Did you all have a nice holiday weekend? We did! We went out to some dinners, hung out with friends and family, spent a bit of time by the pool, and did lots of walks with Henry! Relaxing and enjoyable, that's for sure. The weather was just perfect, which is honestly a rarity around this time!

This entire week has been gorgeous, but tomorrow is going to be 94. Ick!!! Anyway, it's my husband's birthday weekend, so we are going to be getting together with friends and family to celebrate!

We have a fun summer planned- nothing crazy, but honestly, that is what has me excited. I plan to stay at the lake again for like 20ish days later this summer, which is what I look forward to. I loved being there for so long last year. The pace of life is so much slower, and just being outside and being around family and friends is joyful. We are also headed to Nantucket this month, which I am thrilled about! My parents are joining us this time! We haven't been since 2019. I am ready to eat all of the lobster rolls!! We are also doing a quick one-night trip to Highlands again to celebrate our anniversary! Other than that, we are staying put!

Wearing: This is my latest sweatshirt obsession. I am a sweatshirt collector because I just love them and can never resist them. This one, in particular, is SO INSANELY SOFT. I don't think I own anything softer. It's lightweight but has an amazing fleece inside of it. Perfect for the air conditioning but also early mornings and evenings when it's cooler outside. I sized up to a medium for a roomier fit. I will say, Though incredibly comfortable, I think the medium fit-wise is a little sloppy looking so I'd say stick to your true size if you want more of a polished look. I'm OK with the oversized look for what I will wear it for, but some of you may want a cleaner look!

Wearing II: I truly cannot get over this little black eyelet dress. It has the prettiest V-back and is $44. I'm wearing a small and it fits a bit roomy, so if you are between sizes, size down. It comes in white and pink as well! The quality and fit are shockingly good. It gives me Audrey Hepburn vibes for sure!

White shirtdress (under $130)
Wearing III: I should have put all of these recent outfits in one big blog post because I have SO many. But this is another that is not to be missed, and it is finally fully back in stock in all sizes! I suggest sizing down as I find it to run big. I got an XS. I am 5'6" and would not recommend it for those who are much taller than that, as it is short. I wouldn't wear something too short, so this is fine for me, but it could be too short the taller you are!

Eating: The other night, we had tacos, and I made pico de Gallo. I don't know why I don't make this more often. It's so easy; it's just the chopping that can be time-consuming. You just dice up tomato, onion, cilantro, and jalapeno. Top with lime, pepper, and garlic salt, and you're in business. So light and fresh and works as a topper for many things to add a fresh taste!

Watching: We just started watching Succession on HBO. We tried to start it when it first came out years ago, but I watched the first episode, and it just didn't capture me enough to go forward. But we stick with it, and now are 3 episodes in. I still don't love it, but the more episodes I watch, the better it seems to get! I will stick with it this time because it is all anyone talks about- I hope I understand the hype!

Loving: We literally didn't have a hose until this year. Well, we did, but it just sat in our garage without being used. We have landscapers that tend to general things like mulching, cutting our grass, trimming hedges, etc., so we haven't had to do anything really. I have always just watered my few plants with a big watering can. But now, we have a lot more plants, so we finally hooked up the hose. Not only is it a game-changer for the plants, but apparently, Henry LOVES the hose! He jumps to catch the water in his mouth and chases after the water flow. It's hilarious and I love how much he loves it! Here is he soaking wet after playing one evening!

Loving II: My husband has been looking for casual sneakers for a while now and wasn't finding many that he loved. He just got these, and not only does he love them, but I do, too! They are so handsome and just a classic, solid, neutral pair of sneakers! I put them in yesterday's Father's Day Gift Guide!

Top is Lancome, Bottom L'Oreal
Loving III: I got a press box from Lancome a week or two ago and it had a bunch of different mascaras in it. I love trying out new mascaras. I've been using a L'Oreal duo for over a year now and have loved it. So, I tried this Lancome combo and have been wearing it ever since. The photo above speaks a thousand words! It truly makes my lashes look even fuller and longer than the L'Oreal duo I was using! The only downside is that this duo is a lot more $$ than the L'Oreal I used!

Wanting: This dress!! The back!!!

Pittsburgh: We went to the Dancing Crab in Dormont (right on W. Liberty), and it was absolutely phenomenal! Literally, everything we ate was amazing. I loved the drunken noodles. We got the pad see ew, too, which was similar, and what I typically order at a Thair restaurant, and that was amazing, but I honestly think I might be a drunken noodle fan now!!! The pork buns tasted almost identical to Noodlehead's!!! The Massaman curry also tasted exactly like Pusadee's Garden. I say that because you don't need a res for this place, and because it's in the South Hills area, it's quicker for us to get takeout/dine-in there vs in the city!
Amazon Rec: This cosmetic bag is SO cute!!! You can find more of my Amazon favorites, here!

Amazon Rec: These outdoor solar lights are gorgeous. The quality is much nicer than I was expecting and they give off warm light that is not too blue and not too yellow. They're perfect! You can find more of my Amazon favorites, here!
