I'm not a big costume jewelry collector. Overall, I prefer daintier pieces, and I always feel that costume jewelry is what dates an otherwise classic outfit. For example, remember those bubble necklaces? If you see a photo of someone wearing a bubble necklace, you can guess that photo was taken around 2011-2013ish. Or what about chandelier earrings? Probably 2004-2006ish.

However, I think there is a time and place for costume jewelry, and some outfits truly *need* it. I thought I would share two pieces of costume jewelry that I have gotten over the past few years that I have been reaching for over and over. I believe these are classic pieces that won't necessarily date an outfit. What I also love about them is that they are plain metallic, so they pair with most outfits. They are more of a subtle statement relative to other pieces, and I find that's what works best with my wardrobe!

Not only are these two pieces classic and beautiful, but they're not cheaply made. The Necklace is lightweight but high-quality. I like that it is lightweight because it makes it comfortable to wear and lightweight in luggage. The Cuff Bracelet is weighty and feels substantial. The only downside with the weight of the bracelets is that traveling with two of them probably adds a whole pound to my luggage! I think the look of the bracelet has a Bulgari Tubogas vibe, which I love. I also like to travel with these pieces. I would be sad if I lost them or if they were stolen, but they would be easily replaceable. 

I really love the look of the cuff bracelets stacked. I have two and think even three would look fabulous. I prefer wearing the necklace with a high neck top. I think the gold kind of blends in with my skin so wearing it over clothing really helps to make it pop! I think you could layer two of these for a more substantial statement as well.
