Favorite Fall Staple: Vests

A year or two ago, I bought this same Lounge Set in a creamy beige and love wearing it during the cooler months. Then I was sent this Navy colorway which is new for the season (the green is so good also), and I immediately thought of how perfectly it would pair with my Green Down Vest, and here we have a great fall walking outfit! I like the darker color because it doesn't scream pajamas, so you could get away with wearing it around the neighborhood walking your pup, or doing a Starbucks run. The fabric is so soft and has a stretch jersey feel. I am wearing a size medium. It doesn't shrink much in the washing machine, so you don't need to size up for that, but I like my loungewear and pajamas to fit roomy, so I often size up. 

This time of year brings me SO much joy, especially regarding walks. Right about now is when I am sooooo over sweating on walks. It just started to get crisp in the mornings and the evenings so oftentimes, I'll take a long walk twice a day if I can fit it in. I also like to think I'm getting Henry in extra good shape to weather the winter.

I have so much love for this Green Down Vest and vests in general, so I did a roundup of some good options for fall. This Green Down Vest is unisex- my husband and I both have one! It comes in 5 colors. I am wearing the women's size small, which is my true size. It runs roomy, so the small leaves me plenty of room to layer a heavy sweater underneath; if you live in a climate where you may not need to layer with heavyweight sweaters, I'd suggest sizing down. 

I think what is so cool about this vest and what originally had me eyeing it is that my dad has a similar vest that he wears to this day. L.L.Bean first released this vest in 1982, and they brought it back last year for the 40th anniversary. It's a great illustrator of classic design and quality construction, standing the test of time. I may get the black this season for a neutral/sleeker option, but I also really love the red and the blue. If you live in a cold climate, this is one of those necessary things to have in your closet!
