Recent Outfits

In case you missed yesterday's post, start there as this is a multi-part series of what I've worn recently since I've been on vacation in northern Georgia!

But first, before we get to outfits, the Loveshack x Stanley collab launches today at noon. I literally have my alarm set. I'm not a big Loveshack fan, but I like some of the things—they usually skew a little too frilly for me. However, I do love my Stanley and use it daily, but I am also not one of those people who collect them or anything like that. I just cannot get the 'blooming heirloom' (pink) Loveshack Stanley out of my head. It's overpriced, and yet here I am, setting an alarm...for a freaking cup?!?! I will say that I think I'd maybe remove the bow, I love bows, but I feel like it skews a bit juvenile; what do you all think?! Ugh. I hate it, but I love it. I am guessing it will sell out before I can even order one. I will say that I have always thought that a brand like Stanley, Yeti, Corkcicle, etc. should create something with a textile or tableware brand. My thought is more Herend/Wedgwood/Spode, and I know some printed tumblers have been created, but not what I had in mind. Anyway, this is as close to what I have been imagining in my mind for years. I even went as far as emailing all those brands and telling them about my idea in hopes they'd do it!

I actually wore this outfit on our mini trip to Highlands. I love pink, and this dress is cute and lightweight. Also, for those of you who are tall, this is a great short dress. It's plenty long enough on my 5'6" height, so it's a great option for anyone taller than me! I am finding SO many dresses are so short on me, and it's hard to find a short dress without being too short. This is just such a great length.

I wore this outfit to the spa and then to lunch in the OEI Wine Garden! If you ever find yourself at Old Edward's, their spa is amazing and worth the visit. I also cannot recommend the Wine Garden enough. It actually might be my favorite spot in Highlands. It's part of the Old Edward's property, but you don't have to be a guest to eat there. There are no reservations, so if you can, check it out on a weekday and you are less likely to have a wait! The food is casual but delicious, and the atmosphere is just stunning.

Swimsuit (my print is sold out)// Blockprint Wrap (my print sold out, many to choose from!)

It's been a lot of bathing suits lately. This exact print is sold out but I love this 'Taylor' cut. It doesn't have padding in the bust but underwire but it's still so comfortable. It's cut somewhat modestly in the legs and bum and it's such an easy and comfortable style to wear!

Also, my wrap is sold out in this exact print, but there are endless print options on Amazon. They're a great thing to have on hand for swimsuits and inexpensive!

Black Dress (comes in 3 colors, use code SYDNEYXSPANX for 10% off and free shipping)
We went to the local Hiawassee antique shop, and it was a bit of a letdown, but we popped over to another little boutique to browse, which was fun! I wore this super comfortable black dress and my favorite scarf that I treated myself to for my birthday!

Dress (comes in 4 colors)// Handbag// Sandals

I wore this outfit on our last day in Highlands for lunch and shopping. This is adorable and perfect for transitioning into the fall season since it has sleeves and the weight is moderate. If you are any taller than I am (5'6"), it may be too short for you. I wore these little bike shorts underneath to keep things covered! The main street there is filled with everything you could want shopping-wise but they're most boutiques with many brands rather than big chain stores. It's so fun to pop in and out of the shops. We had lunch at The Ugly Dog Public House. It was adorable. Inside, the wall decor comprises photos of patrons' dogs! The food was bar food, but there were many options, and everything was delicious. The fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese were my favorite. This is such a good spot, and we will surely be back next time we are in the area.
