Preppy Puppy

{Mac with some toys, 2010}
Our dog, Mac, has been a part of the family since 2004. His name is short for McCallister. He is a blue haired, stubby tailed, Australian cattle dog. We love him dearly as if he were one of us and we most definitely treat him like a king! I can't help but to spoil him. Whenever I am out and see an adorable toy, I can't stop myself from buying it and bringing it home for him to enjoy. We rarely dress him up, but for the winter we have an adorable barn jacket just his size. Also, for Halloween, we have the cutest little skeleton costume for him. I love buying collars and leashes for Mac. He is a boy and my dad always tries to get him "manly" toys and leashes and collars, but having three girls in the family doesn't help him out too much. The girls of the family love buying him "girly" things. Right now, we compromised on a nautical/summer collar and matching leash with nautical flags stitched on.
Well I was browsing Brooks Brothers website (they are having a great clearance sale.. definitely worth checking out!) and I found the CUTEST little rain "coat" for Mac.
How adorable is this little rain coat pour le chien? It's on clearance for only $29! I am too excited about this. I need to talk my mother into purchasing this ASAP. They have a matching collar and leash as well! How about all of those adorable accessories to make your pup as preppy as you!
Do you have any preppy puppy accessories? Where do you get your pup something special and what kind of dog do you have? If you have an Australian cattle dog, I'd LOVE to know. I don't know many who have this kind of dog! Have a fabulous day!
Yours,
sCe

**EDIT
The puppy rain coat is sold out :( . I just read Beaufort Belle's comment and had to see for myself. I wrote this post last night and schedule it for this morning and in less than 12 hours, it was already sold out. I am SO disappointed. If anyone knows of anywhere I can get my hands on one of these little rain coats, please let me know!

My First Post

Hello everyone! I have been following blogs since about January and decided it was time that I start one, and what better time than summertime! I'm not exactly sure how the whole blogging world works, so give me a little time to learn. I have already made my "layout" so I think I am off to a good start. Here are some things about myself (I'm going to refer to friends and family using their monograms):
-I am 19 years old
-I attend school in Virginia, but do not live there (I am not going to say for which school I attend or where I live, as I'm not certain that it is safe to give too much information such as that!)
-I have a younger sister cCm who will turn 16 in January
-I LOVE my Australian cattle dog mCm
-My favorite item that I own is either my vintage Gucci bag given to me by my aunt or my diamond ring given to me by my grandparents
-I love to shop... some of my favorites are: Lilly Pulitzer, Ralph Lauren, Brooks Brothers, Vineyard Vines, J. Crew, Talbot's, etc..
-I have a passion for jewelry, whether it be classic pearls or an oversized cocktail ring, I love it all.
-I am in Zeta Tau Alpha sorority
- I am a huge fan of the Harry Potter series
- I absolutely love music. I have an older taste in music. I am not the usual rap-loving teenager. I really love Frank Sinatra (hence my blog name) and I love jazz music and classical music, but of course, I also love to dance which is why I love Justin Timberlake and various pop music.
- My all time favorite food is sushi, crab legs, and perogies.

That's enough about me, here is what I have been up to in recent weeks:

I saw Coldplay with boyfriend bRc and bff kJa and it was out of this world. I have been a huge fan of Coldplay for a while now, but have never seen them live. Let me tell you, they were amazing. They played all of my favorites such as: "Fix You", "Green Eyes", "Lovers in Japan", and in their encore, they played my all-time favorite "The Scientist". It couldn't have been a better song to end the concert with, plus it was the perfect night: not a cloud in the sky and a nice cool breeze. Plus, at the end of the show, they were handing out free copies of a live CD called "Left Right Left Right Left" and you can download it at this website: http://www.coldplay.com/lrlrl/lr.html , you just enter your e-mail and country and a copy downloads right onto your desktop!

Last night, bRc took me to see Up, the new Pixar film. I have never seen a movie in 3D and it was neat. The glasses were not the most fashion-forward but they were a good laugh. The movie was really cute, and had a fun story line. I do recommend it, however, I am a huge fan of Pixar films and was expecting Up to surpass my love for Wall-E, but it did not. Wall-E still remains as my favorite Pixar film. Check out the Trailer for Up on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mfgH5_sFLk&feature=related
Moms beware: however PG this movie may be, after the movie, I was in the restroom, and their was a little girl around the age of 5 in there with her mother, and she was saying how scary it was. I can see where she was coming from... there is a scary dog in there, not to give too much away!

Well that is all for my first post! I hope you all have a wonderful evening and bear with me as I figure out how to get better acquainted with the blogging world!

Yours,
sCe
