Beach!

Here is a recap of a little R&R from our beach excursion! We had the best weather one could ask for! It was just perfect and the water wasn't cold at all! My cousin M, and I soaking up some sun! He was so much fun to play with. My bathing suit is a tad bit too small and several years old, but it is my favorite bathing suit of all time and doesn't give horrendous tan lines (as you can tell my lifeguarding bathing suit, did!).cCm and I on the beach!

We stayed at the Blue Bay Inn in Atlantic Highlands, NJ. It is the only boutique hotel on the "Jersey shore". It was so nice. The service was top notch, the rooms were charming, and it was close to everything (40 minutes from Manhattan)! We loved this inn so much, that we have decided to travel there every year from now on because we had such a nice time. It is perfect for a long weekend getaway.
As a family, we had never been to a public beach. We have a lake home in Georgia and we spend time there every year and when take a beach vacation (which is every other year), we like to pick a different exotic, resort location each time. This wasn't our summer for a beach vacation but our family wanted to do something in addition to our time at the lake. So this was our first time, and it was quite a success. We went to Sandy Hook beach which is actually a national park, and it was lovely. Very, very clean, the water temperature was not too cold at all.
Have any of you ever been to this Inn or Sandy Hook beach? I'd love to know! More pictures from the beach/NYC trip to come!

sCe

It's 5 O'Clock somwehere!

Today marks the start of my spring break!!! I am sad to say I am not going somewhere warm, but I do hope to hit the slopes sometime this week; it has been too long! So for all of you heading somewhere tropical, tell me all about it so I can live vicariously through you! For those of you in the same boat as me, try making yourself one of my favorite drink recipes! It's called a Malibu Bay Breeze (not to be confused with a bay breeze which uses vodka instead of rum).

1 1/2 oz Malibu Rum
2 oz Cranberry Juice
2 oz Pineapple Juice

It's fruity and tropical! You can even cut up some pineapple chunks and put them on a skewer to add to the fun! Then put a little Bob Marley on and your set for your own little spring break! Have a great weekend!
Yours,
sCe
