So I think this post needs to be prefaced with a little background. I know my music, really, I do. I played violin for 10 years and piano through high school. I have a taste for classical music all the way to rap music. Frank Sinatra and the rest of the Rat Pack are my favorites. However...are you ready for it.... I LOVE TAYLOR SWIFT. Ok, so I know not everyone is going to agree with me, but I love her. I love her hair, her music, her lyrics (with a few exceptions... ahem "We are never ever ever getting back together"), everything about her. While all of her songs really do sound similar, I can't help but love everything about her tunes.

Why post about my love for Taylor today? Because her album RED is out today! I am heading straight to Target after work to pick up the CD (Normally I would get it right at midnight on iTunes, but if you purchase it at Target, you get several bonus songs). I remember when Speak Now came out in 2010. I was living in the ZTA sorority house and my sorority sisters and I downloaded the entire album at midnight and had Sparks Fly on repeat for weeks! Now when I listen to anything on that album, I think of my junior year and the fun times I had with my sorority sisters!

I already love "I Knew You Were Trouble" and when "We are never ever ever getting back together" came out, I listened to it on repeat for days! 

Plus, she is dating Conor Kennedy, who I think is just too cute and a prepster!

Taylor even hung out with him on Cape Cod... adorable!

As you are reading this, I am finishing up finals week! I feel as though this song goes perfectly with the end of finals week because I only have 3 semesters left of college; only a year and a half! This is crazy to me-- I feel like I just graduated from high school! Sometimes I take college for granted, but I most definitely am in no rush to graduate! As Eloise would say, "I love it too too much!" As I head home to Pittsburgh, I wish everyone safe holiday travels!

"Drop everything now, meet me in the pouring rain"

As most of y'all know, Taylor Swift's album came out at midnight on Monday! I was sitting at my computer at midnight with iTunes open ready to buy. Needless to say, I am in love with the entire Speak Now album. My favorite song is Sparks Fly. This song has been on YouTube for a while now because she did a live version of this song so I recognized it but the album version is a bit different. I really wish that she also recorded the older version of Sparks Fly because I almost think that I like the older version better.The older version has a better beat and a more "country" feel. Regardless, my "plays" column in my iTunes is well over 20 already. My second favorite is enchanted! Her lyrics are so simple, but it's hard not to fall in love with them. If you have yet to check out her CD, definitely have a listen! I also love that their are "rumors" that certain songs are about certain guys that she has been involved with. Of course Dear John is rumored to be about John Mayer, Better Than Revenge is supposedly about Camilla Belle stealing Joe Jonas, and Back to December is rumored to be about Taylor Lautner.  Is anyone else out there obsessed with her new CD?

Not only did Taylor Swift just come out with her new album but so did Kings of Leon and Michael Buble. Kings of Leon's is called Come Around Sundown and it is a GREAT album. I have loved Kings of Leon before they ever became popular and their older music is really good, so if you haven't listened, I definitely recommend to! My two favorite songs are Birthday and Pickup Truck! As for Michael Buble's new album called Hollywood, I am sad to say that I'm not impressed. I think he has incredible talent but none of the 4 new songs really caught my attention and the only one I have been listening to a lot is Me and Mrs. Jones live. Classy Women

In the media today, you're hard pressed to find a decent role model. Sure some are beautiful, yet they make poor decisions. Sure some are wonderful, but they just don't seem to fit the bill like Jackie O did or Audrey Hepburn did. Well here are some of my favorite women role models of today. They manage to keep their images mostly clean which leaves them with much respect.
