Me and Mrs. Jones

I have tweeted several times about my love for the Steve Tyrell station on Pandora-- it plays a really great assortment of music. Well, I also love Michael Buble (Michael Buble on Pandora is also a great station) and one of his songs, Me and Mrs. Jones came on. Me and Mrs. Jones is one of my very favorites and I had never heard it live until...

 It popped up on my Pandora and I love love love it!

"Drop everything now, meet me in the pouring rain"

As most of y'all know, Taylor Swift's album came out at midnight on Monday! I was sitting at my computer at midnight with iTunes open ready to buy. Needless to say, I am in love with the entire Speak Now album. My favorite song is Sparks Fly. This song has been on YouTube for a while now because she did a live version of this song so I recognized it but the album version is a bit different. I really wish that she also recorded the older version of Sparks Fly because I almost think that I like the older version better.The older version has a better beat and a more "country" feel. Regardless, my "plays" column in my iTunes is well over 20 already. My second favorite is enchanted! Her lyrics are so simple, but it's hard not to fall in love with them. If you have yet to check out her CD, definitely have a listen! I also love that their are "rumors" that certain songs are about certain guys that she has been involved with. Of course Dear John is rumored to be about John Mayer, Better Than Revenge is supposedly about Camilla Belle stealing Joe Jonas, and Back to December is rumored to be about Taylor Lautner.  Is anyone else out there obsessed with her new CD?

Not only did Taylor Swift just come out with her new album but so did Kings of Leon and Michael Buble. Kings of Leon's is called Come Around Sundown and it is a GREAT album. I have loved Kings of Leon before they ever became popular and their older music is really good, so if you haven't listened, I definitely recommend to! My two favorite songs are Birthday and Pickup Truck! As for Michael Buble's new album called Hollywood, I am sad to say that I'm not impressed. I think he has incredible talent but none of the 4 new songs really caught my attention and the only one I have been listening to a lot is Me and Mrs. Jones live. "Crazy Love"

Michael Buble's new album, "Crazy Love" is out today! I am so excited, I will be purchasing this on iTunes today and cannot wait to listen to the whole thing. I already love the single "Haven't Met You Yet" so I'm sure this album will not disappoint! If you have had a chance to hear this album, what do you think? I love that he re-does the classics. I love when anyone re-does the classics. My favorite was when Rod Stewart did the Great American Songbooks where he did all of the classics. I probabaly still listen to that weekly! Are you going to be purchasing Buble's newest tunes?

Yesterday I had my first blogger meet up!! I met with the lovely C in VA! We met for pumpkin spice lattes of course! We have been e-mailing back and forth all summer, and it turns out we both go to the same school. How crazy is that? She is such a nice girl; I felt like we were already great friends! While we were talking I found out about her super cute etsy site with the cutest name: Grayson Saige. Her site has preppy and nautical gifts and accessories and she makes them all herself! Palm Beach Preppy Sand Dollar

How can you not love all of these colorful, fun items?! I think that the Palm Beach Preppy Sand Dollar would be SO perfect to give to to someone with a beach themed room or a house at the beach during Christmas time. I can't wait to have another coffee date with C in VA and learn about her newest creations!

Also, this weekend there is a reason to shop until you drop: all of the labor day sales! I am especially excited for Tucker Blaire's flip-flop sale. They are offering a 20% discount on any flip-flops purchased during Labor Day weekend after entering the discount code "LABORDAY". What a great deal! I am especially lusting over the Nautical flag flip flops. I would love love love to wear them at my lake house and around campus to show off my super cute and comfortable flip flops.

Another awesome thing I need to tell you all about is Michael Buble's new single (released August 24). It's called "Haven't Met You Yet". You can buy it on iTunes for $1.29 (anyone else peeved about the price increase?!) The full album entitled "Crazy Love" is due out October 9! I cannot wait to get the entire album. If it is offered for pre-order, I definnitely be doing that! Is anyone else excited for MB's new album?

Nantucket Red

I'm starting to love blogging! I love getting comments and seeing what other people are blogging about. I'm so happy it is Friday but it is terribly cold and not so nice outside. It's June for goodness sakes! Where has the sun and warm weather gone?!

First of all, while I'm typing this, I'm currently listening to "Come Fly With Me" by Michael Buble which is one of my favorite songs of all time. (It's even in one of my favorite movies "Catch Me If You Can" with Leonardo DeCaprio). So start your weekend off right and pop in some Michael Buble (and what a handsome guy too!)!

Father's Day is coming up very soon (June 21 for all of those who haven't realized it's so soon!) Well it will be here in just 2 short weeks and I have bought my dad such a great gift! My sister and I bought my mom the Vineyard Vines quilted coat for Mother's Day so we only felt it right to get something high quality and preppy for my Dad as well, of course he only deserves the best! I got him the ORIGINAL Nantucket red shorts from wherelese but Murray's Toggery Shop! They arrived in the mail today, and they are so nice! I reccomend them to all "kids" shopping for their Fathers! They are so nice. Here is the pair my father will be receiving:

Sorry for the blurry/dark phone picture but my laptop is currently having viruses so I can't upload the pictures from my camera until it's done being fixed so the camera phone will have to do for now... and the two bottles at the top, are the B&BW Aromatherapy body washes from my last post, I bought to Energize body washes for my dad also. Be sure to check out the flip flops on Murray's website! They are too cute for words! I think I just might order several pairs of them!
What are you getting your father/how are you spending your fathers day? I know we will probabaly be celebrating it by spending the day at the country club pool and then probably have dinner there along with my grandparents.

This morning bRc and I had brunch at the best diner in the entire world. It's not a chain, there are only two and they are both within 15 minutes of me, and one is only 5 minutes away! They have crepe-like pancakes that are SO good. I got the chocolate chip banana pancakes and bRC got the regular pancakes; we also shared a side of their famous potatoes! (pancake picture is from google images, but it's the real thing!)
