Lately

Hope you are all having a great week! I am currently in Maryland at the Inn at Perry Cabin on a press trip and I was able to bring my mom along on the trip, too! We are having the best time together at this beautiful property! I will be sure to do a full travel guide for those of you who are looking to plan a trip! I think my husband and Henry must be a teensy bit jealous they had to stay home and hold down the fort, ha!!

This past weekend I got so much done and we were able to spend some time with friends, too! The oddest thing is that I have been trying to get myself in the 'Christmas spirit' so I can create holiday content for you all. It's so odd to listen to Christmas music and all of that right now but the more 'festive' I feel, the better the content is, in my opinion! I'm honestly not ready for the holiday season, I am just trying to love fall right now, but I know this year is a bit different with all of the supply issues and people wanting to plan ahead!

I have officially been bitten by the TikTok bug. I have had an account for years but could never get into it until recently. I just started posting my Instagram reels to TikTok, because why not? And because of that, I've been opening the app a lot more. I'm fascinated by it all, haha! My username is 'sydneyecarverif you want to follow along!

This weekend we are watching my parent's dog, Buddy! He is so cute and so sweet and has SO much energy. He will definitely be keeping me on my toes that is for sure. I have a feeling we are going to have lots of vacuuming to do by Sunday evening with two shedding pups in the house!

Wearing:
This Sweater Blazer is a newer addition to my closet and I have really been loving it. It's a little sleeker than a typical cardigan and cozier than a traditional blazer and nicely made!

Eating: In honor of Oktoberfest, I want to make this creamy sausage, potato, and sauerkraut soup. It sounds delicious. I LOVE sauerkraut so this month always makes me happy going to so many restaurants that have sauerkraut on the menu! Our family friend has an Oktoberfest party and we are so excited to go to that in a few weeks. I love German food!

Sale: Obagi is on sale again and that includes my favorite vitamin C serum! You get 25% off using code OBAGI25. It ends Saturday. You can read why I love this serum, here

Watching:
Have I discussed with you all that I am watching 90 Day FiancĂ© 'The Other Way'? I discovered this series when everything was shut down in early 2020 and binged watched it and now I am hooked. Season 3 has recently begun and I cannot look away. It's addicting! Is anyone else watching?!

Listening: My fall/winter 2021 playlist is getting good!!

Loving: My husband snapped this photo of Henry. I was in the shower and I had layed my pajamas out on the bed and he had gone and cuddled up with the pajamas. It cracked us up!! I guess Henry is also a fan of Lake Pajamas! Speaking of Lake, they are releasing their Christmas styles next week!

Loving II: I love these white wine glasses that we have! They're simply elegant and this weekend I decided to put champagne in one instead of using a flute. When I was in Napa, they actually said that a wider glass is better for champagne anyway, so I figured, why not! I am not a big white wine drinker so I needed an excuse to use them!

Wanting: This fisherman-style sweater is just my dream sweater. SO classic!
Pittsburgh: We went back to 350 Bakery on Saturday morning to try out their breakfast sandwiches and they did not disappoint!! This place is such a Pittsburgh gem. They had a hot honey and ham sandwich- they only do one breakfast sandwich per day. I am dying to try the one with pepper jam or onion jam so I am going to need to make several trips back! It was the nicest morning outside- quintessential fall, so we walked along Mt. Washington with our coffees and took in the views. There was a jazz festival going on at Highmark Stadium this past weekend and we could hear them warming up as we walked- it was honestly idyllic! I am not a morning person. I want to be, and I can be, but I am especially not a morning person on  the weekends. But, to get a breakfast sandwich before they sell out, you have to wake up early. So my husband woke me up at like 7:30 and I rolled out of bed and was SO happy to throw on my Dudley Stephens Park Slope (20% off with code YOUROCK) and Jay Joggers. It was literally the perfect outfit for the morning. This was my reminder of how obsessed I am with these fleece pieces whenever it starts to become chilly outside. I want the black Jay joggers but they are sold out in a small which is the size I need! I have no idea how the 20% off code is still working- it's been active for months (definitely not complaining) but there are a bunch of DS items that work with the code YOUROCK

Traveling: We are headed to Boston next to visit my husband's best friend (who was his best man) and his wife! I've been to Boston several times and have always loved it so I am looking forward to spending a full weekend there! Let me know if there are any musts!!
Quoting: See more of my favorites, here.

Ooh, have so much fun in Boston!! I love Precinct Kitchen + Bar and Upper Crust has *the best* pizza ever (and I say that as a New Yorker!!!) Don't miss the Isabella Steward Gardner Museum; it is one of my favorite museums in the world. Enjoy!!

Sydney, I lived in Boston for 10 years and highly recommend Tatte Bakery(I'm sure your friends know it)! It's where my husband and I had our first date. It's just as beautiful as it is delicious. There are many locations now, but the one in Beacon Hill would be especially nice this time of year because you can walk around the area and see all of the fall foliage and decor!
