Hope you are all having a good week! My week was just OK...I have honestly felt a little all over the place and off my game this week! I also think I'm a bit overwhelmed. It's Q4 and this is always the busiest time of year for me work-wise and so sometimes I feel like I'm treading water trying to keep my head above! I keep telling myself that I always get it all done and never bite off more than I can chew. I know this happens every year and I don't need to put such pressure on myself! I always slack off a bit in the self-care department this time of year because I get so busy so I need to remind myself to take the time to take care of myself, too! Easier said than done!
Last week, I dropped my curling iron on my foot. It was on the highest heat setting and I burned my foot! I can really only wear ballet flats because of where it is on my foot so I can't really work out or even walk all that much. It looks way worse than it is but it's really a hindrance! I hope it heals quickly, I want to get back to my workouts asap!
Henry got a bath this week which was much needed. I love when he gets baths because he becomes so fluffy, ha!! We are taking him to a new vet this week for his annual checkup since Henry's vet, which we loved, retired. He is also going to doggy daycare for just an afternoon to see how he does- it's more of a temperament test day because I think we are going to board him next week (we are going away) and we have never had to board him before. I am a bit nervous! My parents have always taken our dog Mac there, and then when he passed away, they now take Buddy there. They have always taken really good care of both Buddy and Mac so I know Henry will be in good hands. The biggest thing I am worried about is that Henry was in an overcrowded, high kill shelter. He was literally on the euthanasia list (which is crazy) before he was rescued by Tracy's Dogs. Anyway, I just don't want him to feel as though he has been abandoned at a shelter because that's what boarding places kind of look like. I know that sounds a little nutty of me to worry about, he hopefully doesn't remember that time in his life, but I can't help but feel nervous about it! I'm hoping and praying his day goes well tomorrow! When he is boarded, Buddy will be there, too, so we have arranged that they can play together while there which will be so nice!
This weekend, I am headed out to dinner with some girlfriends, and then the following evening we have a wedding reception for friends that recently got married in an intimate wedding ceremony in California! It will be so fun to celebrate them and spend time with friends.
Eating: These dark chocolate freeze dried bananas are SUCH a treat. They are seriously so delicious. I ate the entire bag in 3 days.
Watching: I just finished Southern Charm finally! I thought this was one of the better seasons in a long time! Did anyone else watch?! Can't wait to watch part II of the reunion!
Loving: My mom and I were away for 2 nights last week at the Inns of Aurora, more on that next week but while there, I had her using my skincare and she loved the Augustinus Bader Rich Cream SO much that I am going to give it to her for her birthday. She said she truly thinks it improved her skin overnight. She said the biggest thing she noticed is that she saw more elasticity in her skin and the fine lines had slightly lessened.. literally overnight! She has literally never said this about any product I've ever had her try before and she is not one to get caught up in the 'latest and greatest', either. She just doesn't care so for her to say this is a real endorsement!
Wanting: This pullover looks so cozy!
Amazon Rec: I got this cute little Halloween headband to wear to hand out candy on Halloween! You can find more of my Amazon favorites, here!
Traveling: My next trip is to Niagara-On-The-Lake to celebrate my mom's birthday! I'm so excited. I love it there.

Good luck to Henry with daycare and getting boarded!! I will keep him in my thoughts. I am a fellow dog mama and get so stressed about this as well. We’ve never had a problem though!! But I still get stressed and I think that’s understandable. Hope you have a wonderful trip!
For your burn, try getting some thick moleskin strips/corn cushions that are sticky on one side and place them around the burn, kind of “framing” it. This will create some space between where the injury is and the top of your shoe, which makes it a lot more comfortable/give you more shoe options. Did this for a very intense, large blister once (it was the middle of winter and I needed to wear boots!) and it was a game changer for me!
