We have made it to another weekend. My abbreviated week due to travel really made this week fly by because I was playing catch-up all week. Tonight, we have a fun little date night planned, and then on Saturday, we are getting together with friends, which will be fun. I can't believe we are halfway through October already. I want time to slow down; October is my FAVORITE! You can tell my wish list was inspired by the very chilly weather we have had this week. In the mornings and evenings, it is starting to dip into the 40s, and that was not something I was ready for. Now, I am in full-on sweater, jacket, vest, and blanket mode.
Some items of note...
- For being 14k gold, these Gold Hoop Earrings are a great price. I'm into small hoops right now, and I love the simple and classic nature of these.
- I got this Coaster Set to use on my nightstand as my other coasters were getting a bit icky. They're so beautiful. I will order another to give as a gift during the holiday season because I think they're gorgeous for the price.
- These Crew Socks are my favorite. I got a pair last year and was hooked. The fabric is so soft and holds up well in the wash. I like to wear them with pajamas but also to wear them with shoes out and about.
- I love ornaments. I always hesitate to purchase the novelty ornaments I see each year because I like an ornament to mean something/be from a trip or life milestone, but I may have to cave and get the Hydrangea Ornament. I have never seen an ornament like this before, and it's just too good. I also collect ornaments to attach to gifts that are meaningful for the recipient, and this would be a good one to add to a gift for a hydrangea-loving friend or family member.
- This Cable Sweater is an absolute dream. It's a little splurge, but it's classic. This is so niche and specific, but do you all remember the scene in When Harry Met Sally when Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal are crouched down looking at a rug they just put down? Billy Crystal has on this chunky cream-cabled sweater, and that's what this sweater reminds me of! It's one of my favorite movies of all time and significantly fall/holiday so now is a fun time to watch it. It's so sweet and heartwarming.
- This Leather Belt is just gorgeous and a beautiful color. Fun fact about me is that I loathe wearing belts. I love the look but I just can't stand the feeling. Sometimes I give in and wear them for fashion but I really don't like the feeling! This one is worth sacrificing my dislike of belts! I'm picturing it styled with a cream cashmere turtleneck and dark-wash jeans.
- I am *obsessed* with the leather valet tray I bought from Pottery Barn a few years ago. I take it with me anytime I travel, even if just overnight. Before I had one, it seemed unnecessary, but it is truly a game-changer. I put it on my nightstand or somewhere central in the hotel room or wherever I am staying, and that's where my jewelry sits, so it always has a home when I take it off. I also put things in the tray like hand lotion, chapstick, and vitamins- all things I would typically want next to me in the evening. Anyway, this Valet Tray is so pretty with the blue pattern, and as we are heading into the holiday season, it would make a lovely gift for the avid traveler.
- Vietri makes stunning pieces, and their limoni collection is just dreamy. I love this Centerpiece Bowl. It's a great neutral, but the design gives it the perfect texture and depth.
