Lately

Prettiest sunset over Lake Chatuge!

Henry + Buddy

This pickle quesadilla was life-changing!

Our vacation time is winding down. I've enjoyed my time in the South and spending time with family and friends. It's always such a great time, but I love returning home. I love a good routine, I love my own bed, and I miss my workouts! I love how vacation is such a wonderful break but reminds you of the joy of being home. Sometimes, my routine can seem mundane, but I really miss it when I get out of it!

I have so much content to share, and I am so pleased with that, but I am also trying to sort through it all. I know many of you have requested an updated Old Edward's Inn/Highlands travel guide, so I'm currently working on updating that. I also want to do a big North Georgia guide, as we did a lot of bopping around this year!

I know it's only August 8th, but I cannot wait for fall. Our summer has been hotter than ever. We had so many 90+ degree days, which does happen from time to time, but it's not as common as it was this year. I am so excited to burn a fall candle, wear a sweater, wear cozy slippers, etc. I know I get sick of that all by the time February rolls around but there's something so wonderful about September-December! Not to mention, the fall fashion is looking incredible. I feel so excited about outfits this upcoming season. I'm seeing lots of classic and ladylike pieces. I love that chocolate brown, red, and leopard print will all be 'in' as well.

Wearing: I've seen a lot of weird things on the internet, but would you wear this $270 baguette bread bag?! Like... it's made to hold one single baguette. In other clothing news, I shared a 3-part recent outfits series this week that you can read here:

Are you following me on the LikeToKnowIt app?! You can shop all of my outfits, favorite finds, and more in the app. I am constantly updating it with the latest! You can also access all of my posts, here, if you don't use LTK! You can also find me on ShopMy, another shopping platform!

Eating: This dinner was so delicious. My aunt made peach salsa—I mean, when in Georgia! It was just peaches, red pepper, avocado, red onion, lime juice, and salt. I plan on making this and will add cilantro and jalapeno to mine. It was such a great topper on the grilled salmon! It tasted so light and refreshing.

Sale: I found my favorite perfume 30% off! It's hard to find on sale, and it's so pricey that any discount is very welcome.

Watching:
Have you all seen the trailer for the movie It Ends With Us? I read the book a long while ago, and I didn't love it, but I will be interested to see the movie. I likely won't run to the theater for it, but we'll see! Speaking of movies, I'm not really a theatergoer, but I would like to eventually see Inside Out 2 and Twisters!

Loving: I discovered this brand of jewelry in Highlands and love it! It was so much better in person, and the price point was mostly under $200! I loved this bracelet, and when I went online, I loved this necklace
Loving II: Have you all ever heard of the brand, Beauty PieIt's a new-to-me beauty and skincare brand, and they sent me a package and inside were two lip glosses. I have been wearing them all week, and I absolutely love them. The formula/texture is so incredibly smooth and not at all sticky. This is niche but if you have ever used Sugar Advance lip balm (one of my faves), it kind of feels like that if it were a lip gloss. It's just so good. I got the shades Cherryo and Plum Naked and love as everyday subtle colors. It's an interesting business model. You pay a subscription fee, and then you get high-end/luxury products at a major discount under the Beauty Pie name... kind of like the Kirkland brand at Costco. But you can join for free for the first 60 days and then cancel.

Loving III: Have you seen the term 'emotional support water bottle' float around social media? As much as I do love and rely on my water bottles, I think I'm more of an emotional support flat clip gal. I truly do not go anywhere without one. I've started to collect them and put them in my car, handbags, all of the floors of my home, etc. They're the BEST and I could not recommend them more. I have all of the sizes for different styles. I wish they would make an XL size!

Wanting:
These red leggings are *finally* back in stock. They are seriously AMAZING. I'm a CRZ Amazon gal, but with these, they literally lift your bum and are the most flattering leggings. I was waiting for the red and am so glad to see them back! I am always drawn to sneakers with green details and gum soles and I didn't think my workout shoes would have those as options, but these are CUTE! I'm also really intrigued by these sneakers as my walking shoes. They kind of look like Hokas which is what I was considering when I will need to get a new pair of walking sneakers! Love this entire Florence collection- the colors are perfection! J.Crew just dropped some new arrivals and they have fall vibes all over them. I also love to see so many classic pieces. Even many of the jeans were very polished- no distressing, darker washes, etc.... like these! I love to see it! Love this little red bag. It's giving Loro Piana for 1/25 of the price.

Amazon Rec: I just ordered this little tool that removes pet hair from the car. I have high hopes! I bring Henry in the car any chance I get so my car gets filled with hair. I vacuum it out every week or two but this will be so helpful!

You can find more of my Amazon favorites, here on my Amazon page where I am constantly updating it with all of my finds and top picks from home, beauty, fashion, and more!

Smelling: I saw this perfume display the other day at Julep Farms (the cutest place in North Georgia!!!) and the bottles caught my eye so I went over and sniffed each one and I loved every single one which is wild because I usually detest at least a few when I smell a bunch of perfumes. These all smelled fancy and deep and fresh and just so good. My favorite was purple fig or dear polly

Traveling: We have fun things to look forward to! We are going to Charleston in September and Keeneland in Lexington, KY in October.

I’m going to Charleston for the first time at the end of August. Any recs would be highly appreciated!

Anonymous, SO exciting. You will love it! My top rec to anyone is always 167 Raw which is on King Street. They don't take reservations so I prefer to go for an early lunch and usually have no problem getting seated. The lobster roll is my favorite but you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu! I love Melfi's for Italian (the stretch armstrong pizza is not to be missed!), Leon's for oysters and fried chicken. Lunch at Home Team BBQ on Sullivans and then a walk on the beach is always so enjoyable... just about a 15-20ish min drive from downtown. The Pineapple fountain and walk around the Battery is beautiful. I love the bar at Frannie and the Fox- the cocktails are so unique and the atmosphere is cozy and beautiful. All of the shopping on King's Street is wonderful... I'm interested in checking out the new Julia Amory store which just opened. I love Croghan's which is the most beautiful jewelry store. There is also a Bar Taco on King Street- it's a chain, I know, but the atmosphere is lovely and a fun shopping (and heat) respite for incredible margaritas! The Dewberry's Citrus Club is the prettiest rooftop bar. Have the best time and safe travels!
