Weekend Wish List

Some items of note...

- There is nothing I love more than some really good olive oil and this Garlic Olive Oillooks and sounds fabulous. If you don't want to give a bottle of wine this holiday season, give a bottle of nice olive oil. I'd honestly love that just as much as wine!

- I got a deluxe sample of this Hydra Collagen Serum and I love it. It's so lightweight and hydrating. You can use my code SUMMERWIND.

- The shape and texture of this Blue Coat is perfection.

- No notes on this Chartreuse Top + Skirt.

- I feel like everyone talks about how good these Pants are so consider me intrigued! I love the orange color- how fun.
Some items of note...
- One thing about me is that I loathe wearing belts but I love how they look. This Dark Green Leather Belt is pretty enough to get me to wear it!

- This Porcelain Platter is perfetion. Imagine putting your tukey on that! There are also dinner plates and salad plates with this pattern. My code SYDC20 should work on this!

- This Beaded Jacket is very splurgy, but you have to click on the product and get an up close look. It's incredible!

- This is Plaid Weekender utterly timeless. I feel like my grammie has something just like this probably from 50 years ago.

- This Cocoa Wool Coat is giving MaxMara for wayyy less!

Lately

I stuffed this travel tote as full as it has ever been and it still fit under an economy seat! I've been traveling with this tote style for nearly 10 years and I cannot imagine travel without it.

Cute personalized pouch that both my husband and I use for travel.

Hope you all are having a wonderful week! We have enjoyed a little taste of fall weather as of yesterday and I'm here for it! I love putting on a jacket or sweatshirt in the mornings and evenings! It's about time!

We returned from our trip on Monday evening and I've just been working ahead on holiday season stuff (crazy!!!) and catching up. This job gets wildddd during this time of year. Truly, though, I am so grateful I love my job!

This weekend we have an event and then my MIL is coming to town just for one night, so we are booked up!!! October, November, and December are always SO busy. I love it but I also need to remind myself to schedule in some down time! I am looking forward to my sister visiting later this month for my cousin's 30th birhday party. It's going to be FUN!

I need to get back to my regular workout schedule. It's been all over the place since I got back from Portugal!

Wearing: I haven't really worn anything that thrilling since I've been home- just mostly lounge/athletic clothing since I've been doing a lot of computer work! But these are two things worth noting!

You can find me on ShopMy, where I link all of my outfits, favorite finds, home decor, beauty, and more! I am constantly updating it with the latest! You can also follow me on the LTK app. Plus, you are able to access all of my posts, here, on my website!

Eating: My husband made us a spaghetti squash and chicken sausage meal this week that was out of this world good. He mostly used homemade tomato sauce and a drizzle of pesto but this recipe is somewhat similar to what he did! We are def adding it to our weeknight rotation!

Drinking: Lots of wines on sale on wine.com. I always keep a favorites list so I can see when they go on sale. I placed a big order so I will be stocked through the holidays and these are some I would recommend if you like a bold California cabernet: this, this, this, this, this, this, and this. They're all on sale and can be stacked with the code TREAT25. If you are in PA and beholden to the state store, wine.com usually has much better prices and more frequent/better sales- plus it gets delivered right to my doorstep. I think if you are looking for giftable reds, this is a good option because it's a recognizable label and it's not overly complex so it's likely to appeal to most red wine fans.

Watching:
I haven't watched a single thing lately! Our friends that we were just this weekend with said Task is really good. That's the show I told you all I wanted to watch on HBO and many of you also messaged me saying that it is good! Now I just need to find the time to watch some TV!

Loving: I love when holiday new arrivals start to pop up! I am not ready for that Christmas-feeling yet. We *just* got our first cool day, but I do like to browse the holiday stuff online... while burning my fall candles! Lake launched their holiday collection. These are going to be our Christmas morning pajamas. My mom, sister, and I do matching pajamas and I realky like these because they don't scream holiday so they can be worn year round! My tip for this style is to skip machine drying. Machine drying shrinks the pants' length!

Wanting:
Wow, this belt is so unique. I love the print on this topThese pants are absolute perfection. This plaid weekender in the 'green blue' colorway is DIVINE! I'm not normally one to go for collars like this, but I love love love this jacket! The cardigan of my dreams. I love this nut bowl and platter setA 100% cotton fisherman crew at a great price point under $100! I have this dress in faux suede from quite a few years ago, and this new merlot corduroy is stunning. This dress is perfection and looks like someting Ralph would have designed for his wife, Ricky! This is a fun and unique twist on the classic barn jacket. I love taffeta and this red dress is lovely! I have boots similar to these and love them and wear them often in the winter. This is a darling argyle dress. So into this jacquard leopardprint! This cardigan is giving Sezane but for much less! So glad these shoes are back in stock in most sizes! This is a striking coat. I love the color and texture of the fabric. This is such a cute and different little bag! This looks like such an incredible jewelry box

Pittsburgh: I kind of forgot about Aladdins. We got back from Boston late on Monday evening and hadn't eaten dinner. We landed on Aladdins and it is sooooo good. I always get the chicken salad salad with balsamic and both cheddar and feta. Their feta is next-level! And obviously, we get the hummus!!

Travel Guide: Autumn in Boston and Maine

Sweater (also like this cardigan)// Pants// Flats

We've just returned from spending a long weekend in New England, visiting friends and exploring Boston and parts of Maine. I had never been to Maine before, and now I can’t believe I waited this long to go. It was such a treat. The scenery, the food, and the charm were even better than I imagined.

Jacket// Sweater (also like this cardigan)// Pants// Flats
A Quick Stop in Boston
Our friends live in Boston, and since we’ve visited them several times, we didn’t do too much sightseeing this trip. Instead, we spent an afternoon celebrating a friend’s birthday (the best man in our wedding!), shopping around Seaport, and having lunch at Row 34. Definitely order the lobster roll if you go. I later realized I had also been to the Row 34 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, which is just as good.

The shopping in Seaport was nice. They had so many big-name brands, so it was fun to pop in and out. It was my first time in a Sezane and I wanted everything!

After lunch, we grabbed rooftop drinks to enjoy the crisp fall air. The weather was cool, sunny, and finally coat weather. I also stopped into Sweetish, the cutest little candy shop in Seaport, for a few treats... I couldn’t resist!

Mug from Copper Candle!

Clam Shack lunch! I liked the lobster roll- the clam strip roll wasn't my fave.

A Day Trip to Kennebunkport, Maine
From Boston, we drove up to Kennebunkport for the day, and it was just as charming as everyone says. The weather remained beautiful, with clear skies and a crisp fall breeze. We majorly lucked out with the weather on this trip!

We had lunch at The Clam Shack, a casual seafood spot right in town, and it did not disappoint. It was exactly the kind of restaurant I had pictured going to in Maine! Afterward, we wandered through the local shops. I loved seeing all of the mums and pumpkins on display. My husband ordered a hot brown sugar cinnamon latte from a nearby café, Dock Square, and it was surprisingly delicious. I usually prefer plain coffee, but this one was better than any pumpkin spice latte, that's for sure. Such a treat that I'm still thinking about.

Many of you asked where I got the mug I shared in my stories. Isn't it adorable? It was from The Copper Candle, and we also picked up an ornament, a tradition to mark our New England trip!
What I Wore:

Spicy tuna cirspy rice from 1901!

Boothbay Harbor
After exploring Kennebunkport, we continued north toward Boothbay Harbor, making a quick stop at Pinkham’s Market to pick up some provisions for our Airbnb.

Our Airbnb had the most beautiful deck overlooking the harbor. We put together a quick cheese plate, poured a glass of wine, and watched the sunset. It was definitely a highlight of the trip! If you ever visit Pinkham's, be sure to try the smoked salmon dip!

That evening, we had dinner at Whale’s Tale, a cozy spot right below our Airbnb. Boothbay Harbor was a small, walkable, and charming town.

We popped over to Red Cup Coffee for some fuel before our morning adventure. They had great coffee and a pretty good breakfast sandwich!

We enjoyed visiting the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens! The gardens were stunning and beautifully maintained. The dahlias were in full bloom and incredibly vibrant.

The clam chowder at Boathouse Bistro was delicious, and I paired it with an Aperol Spritz, which turned out to be an odd but great afternoon snack.

We had a wonderful sushi dinner at Harborside 1901. Ice cream at Downeast Ice Cream was such a fun end-of-night stop!

We closed out Boothbay with a breakfast stop at Blue Moon Cafe. It almost felt like you could have dropped it right in Stars Hollow. A diner with a gorgeous view! Do not miss out on the blueberry pancakes. They were drool-worthy and their coffee was great, too!

The Topsfield Fair
On our way back to Boston, we stopped at the Topsfield Fair, which is the oldest continuously running fair in the country. I’m not much of a fair person, but this one is worth a visit. It’s large, lively, and filled with great food trucks and local vendors. We had been there once before with our friends, so I knew what to expect. However, we went on an exceptionally crowded day, and we didn't last long.

Overall, it was a wonderful long weekend filled with great food, beautiful scenery, and time spent with friends. Our friend is a trip planner extraordinaire, so he planned out the whole thing! Maine completely won me over, and I’m already scheming up my next visit. I’d love to see Camden, Bar Harbor, and Acadia National Park in the future!

Prime Big Deals Day Picks

Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days are here! I’ve narrowed down the endless options to my top tried-and-true picks, ranging from practical to perfect for both gifting and treating yourself. The sale goes through tomorrow, October 8th.

Wella Repair Spray// THIS IS THE BEST HAIR PRODUCT OF ALL TIME. In alllllllll of Amazon, this is my #1 recommendation! It's a spray, and you spritz it on damp hair after a shower. It smells lovely (not too strong) and has a nice, even spray. It makes my hair so soft, shiny, and voluminous. It also helps my hair look fresher for longer in between hair washes. It's a pricey product, but it's a must-have for me, and one I've purchased many times. I'm ordering a backup for when I run out.

Steamer// I've long been a Conair brand steamer gal, as they work well and are not too pricey. This is what I use weekly for clothing, linens, etc. The hot plate on the front is particularly helpful because it functions like a hybrid of an iron and a steamer. This is quite large, so I have a smaller version for travel (which you can find below). But this one works better than the travel version if you are between the two!

Frame TV// I've had the Frame TV for over five years and would highly recommend it. It has a nice picture and works well. It has numerous apps that you can download, allowing you to stream almost anything. I love the look of it on the wall, and we added the gold wooden frame so it looks even more like a piece of real art. When I need another TV, I won't hesitate to get another Frame. You can read my full blog post review of the Samsung Frame TV, here

Eye Cream// I've always been skeptical about eye cream. I've tried *a lot* of eye creams over the last 15 years, and I always come back to this one. It's one of the only ones where I see results as opposed to just using my regular moisturizer/serum under my eyes. I have bad dark circles, and I noticed they are lessened with continued use. The formula is nice and hydrating, and glides on nicely. I use this exclusively at night because I prefer another eye cream for daytime, but you can use this at any point in the day or evening.

Athletic Socks// My favorite athletic socks, and they are a STEAL! People compare them to Bombas, which are much more costly. I have not worn Bombas, so I can't speak to that, but they are so cushioned and high quality. I wear these with athletic sneakers!

Gold Wooden Frame for TV// When you purchase the Frame, you have the option to add on a bezel. These bezels are minimal and do not have as big an impact as these wooden frames. This is the exact frame I have on our TV. It's gorgeous and truly makes it look like a piece of artwork. These are pricey, but totally worth it in my opinion!

Whitening Strips// I kept seeing this brand all over the internet. It seems like everyone and their mother posts about these teeth-whitening strips. I took it upon myself to buy them and test them out. I have always loved Crest Whitestrips. They work. However, as I get older, it's more important than ever to be gentler on my enamel. These are supposed to be gentler. Typically, I use one Crest Whitestrip as a touch-up, and it noticeably whitens my teeth. With the Lumineux, I had to use more treatments to notice a difference, but the difference was noticeably whiter. No sensitivity whatsoever. I order the larger pack whenever they go on sale, so I always have them on hand. They work; they just take a little longer than some other brands.

Non-Stick Pots and Pan Set// This is a great price for a pots and pans set. These are non-stick (truly) and are as beautiful as they are practical. They are also non-toxic. The quality is competitive with all of the top brands in cookware. I really like the stainless All-Clad pans, Le Creuset, and Staub, and we do a lot with cast iron, but these are more of our 'everyday' pots and pans, and we love them so much! They're the quickest and easiest to clean by a mile!

Leggings// The best leggings. I rarely order anything from Lulu anymore, as the CRZ brand consistently delivers. These are the sleek feel where dog hair doesn't stick and just brushes right off with your hand! They run true to size.

Vacuum// We have a Dyson and a Shark stick, but 100% of the time, I prefer the Shark plug-in vacuum I bought for my apartment back in 2016. It still works perfectly and works SO much better than my Dyson. Even better, it's a fraction of the Dyson price tag. The only thing that's somewhat annoying is that it has a cord, but it's a negligible annoyance when I factor in how well it works. If you have a pet, this will be a game-changer. When mine dies, I will repurchase and not even bother to look for a different option. It's that good. There are several different models, but this is the lowest-price model and the one I've had for nearly 10 years!

Beige Dog Car Hammock// If you have a beige car interior, you know how hard it is to find a beige car hammock for your pet! This is the one I have. It's high quality and easy to wash!

Tech Sleeve// Being a millennial, I have a soft spot for Vera Bradley. I think some of their latest prints have that nostalgic, old-school vibe, and I am here for it. I got myself this laptop sleeve last year and love it. It's such a cute print and protects my laptop when I toss it into my tote!

Dyson Hair Dryer// I bought this the last time it was on sale. I waited years to buy this because I refused to believe the hype. I had used the Air Wrap and didn't love it, so I just figured this hair dryer was also very overrated (and overpriced). While I still think it's a bit steep for a hair dryer, I am fully on the Dyson hair dryer train. This is actually worth the hype. The only way I can describe this hair dryer is that my old hair dryer (which I loved, by the way) was like a hose, and this is like a pressure washer. This is significantly more powerful and truly reduces drying time. It annoys me to recommend this, but it really is good.

Brow Pencil// I am not a big drugstore makeup gal, but this is one of those exceptions that is truly just as good as any other brow pencil. I truly don't know why I'd ever buy anything more expensive than this because it is just perfect.

Lip Balm// This is a constant repurchase for me. It's pricey for lip balm, so it's nice to snag it on sale. It is very lightly scented, like lavender, and applies so smoothly. It's a 'clean' formula.

Deodorant  Body Wash// This is a go-to brand. I love the bergamot and hinoki scent, but you can't go wrong with any of their scents. The products are cleaner than many products you'd find at a drugstore. The deodorant truly works. I held off on trying 'natural' deodorant for so long because I thought there was no way it would work on me, but I am glad to report that it does, and it works well! It also smells so luxurious... more like a high-end fragrance than anything else! The body wash is wonderful, too. It lathers well, and the scent lingers long after showering. These are higher-priced than other deodorants and body washes, making them a nice gift... they could be a good stocking stuffer for the holiday season!

Small Tech Battery// This is niche, but I have a ring/pop socket thing on the back of my phone case. I *need* that ring to hold my phone since I have the largest size. What's frustrating, though, is that because of that ring, I can't charge my phone via MagSafe unless I remove my phone case. That's fine when I am at home, but when I am on the go, I don't like to remove the case since I am notorious for dropping my phone. This is a portable battery that is tiny- it fits inside a clutch! It also plugs directly into the bottom of my phone, so I don't have to deal with any annoying cords. It is the perfect small travel backup battery. I use it all of the time!

Stainless Frying Pan Duo// My husband and I prefer different cookware. He cooks on cast iron, and I cook on All-Clad stainless. Both are supposedly non-toxic, which is great. If you have been afraid of stainless cookware because you think it is nonstick, watch a few YouTube videos on properly using it, and you will be a convert. I love my All-Clad frying pans and could not recommend them more! They are pricey, so it is always nice to snag them on sale. When compared to the non-stick cookware that I reviewed earlier in this post, these are not as user-friendly/easy to use. If I want to fry up a few eggs quickly, this is not my go-to pan, but if I am willing to have some patience, these are the way to go.

Beige Dog Car Hammock// If you have a beige car interior, you know how hard it is to find a beige car hammock for your pet! This is the one I have. It's high quality and easy to wash!
