Annie Griffin Collection

Is anyone else super excited for warm weather? The lovely ladies at Annie Griffin just sent me the most adorable summer frock and it got me in the mood for blue skies and cold cocktails. I have posted about AG several times before and can't get enough of the brand (see here and here)!

I had originally wanted to take these photos outside... and then we got hit with a ton of snow... and then more snow came. So it was fun pretending it was summer inside. This is the Jessie dress in Sky Blue. To say that I love it is an understatement.

Annie Griffin has superior quality. The way this dress is tailored, the lining, and the luxe details such as buttons and pleating make this dress a showstopper.

I styled it a few different ways to show the versatility of the style. This is my "wear-to-work" version. If you can't wear sandals, just pop on your favorite pair of peep toes and you'll be all set to head to the office.

This is my "wear-to-a-cocktail-party" look. Think casual summer wedding, graduation or graduation parties, showers and other special events.

This is my "wear-to-brunch-and-errands" look... This is something I would have worn to class in college as well.

Mac really loved the Jessie dress too.

I also really love the AG brand as a whole because almost all of their pieces are super versatile. As a post-grad, I am always looking for clothing that I can wear to work but transition into the nighttime and weekends. A big thank you to the ladies at AG... check them out on their Facebook page as well to see their latest lines-- I got a sneak peek at their Spring line and I am in love--more on that to come in a few weeks! Have you shopped Annie Griffin?! Have a fabulous day!

GIVEAWAY: Annie Griffin Collection

I've posted about Annie Griffin Collection a few times in the past because I am absolutely in love with all of the pieces each season. I really don't think they have created something that I dislike (see past posts here and here).

Annie Griffin is all about creating gorgeous, well-made clothing. The clothes are classic with a stylish twist. For example. The lovely ladies at AG sent me this gorgeous skirt...

Isn't the Chelsea skirt adorable?! It is made of silk faille and has a thick waistband that is very flattering and nips you in the waist for a skinny mini look! I love that the skirt isn't super short-- it is the perfect length. I love the champagne color, however, for fall, the Chelsea in burnt gold is perfect. I plan on wearing my Chelsea year round. For a summer look, I paired it with a Ralph Lauren OCBD and orange ballet flats, but for the winter, I think this will pair well with tights, heels and a fun top for a party ready look.

I was also sent the Abbay blouse in watercolor stripe and it is not only gorgeous but also very functional. This top is perfect for an office look-- just throw a cardigan or blazer over this top and you are set for work. I also think this is a fun party top as well... I picture it with black skinny denim, pumps, and fun jewels and you're all set for a night out. The Abbay also comes in a fall perfect hunter green color! The Abbay+Chelsea= a showstopping outfit.

Pop into one of the over 150 boutiques that carries AGC to try on different styles and find something perfect for any occasion... To find a boutique near you, click here.

Annie Griffin Collection Revisited

Remember my post about Annie Griffin Collection last year? Remember how I wore the Meg dress for a night in DC and loved it? The Meg is a staple in my closet and looks so great on most body types... several of my sorority sisters have borrowed the dress and looked great in it!

Well, Annie Griffin has done it again!  This Atlanta based designer creates figure flattering silhouettes with vibrant and neutral hues. I love that a lot of them are cut more on the "conservative" side but are perfect for a night out on the town.
Out in DC this past October with MH!
Check out the Annie Griffin website because the Meg is currently half price in crimson! I think this would be such a perfect gameday dress for a 'bama, USC or UGA girl!
The Lela dress is a perfect little white dress for summer... it looks effortlessly chic.
I love the Elizabeth tank! Just like the model, I would pair the tank with white pants or a fun pair of lace shorts.
I really enjoy the Patton shorts. They are an updated classic and can be dressed up with wedges or down with flat sandals.

Fall Essentials Part 4: The Cocktail Dress

Everyone has their go-to cocktail dress when they want to feel "sexy", but do you have a go-to cocktail appropriate dress that you could wear to absolutely any function that requires "cocktail attire"? (Meaning not too low-cut or revealing or not seasonal). Well, the Meg dress by the Annie Griffin Collection is the perfect dress for just that.
This dress is perfect because the sleeves are 3/4 length making it seasonally appropriate for spring, summer, winter, and fall! It's also great because the fabric is perfect for any season as well. There are no gaudy embellishments added, but just a very cute but subtle bow accent on the pocket.
Who doesn't love a good bow?! The bow adds some "fun" to the dress without being too overwhelming.
The sleeves at the shoulder and towards the end of the sleeve are gathered together to create a fun and updated silhouette which is perfect for any young woman. The rest of the Meg dress has an A-line cut which is classic and flattering for most body shapes.
The dress is fully lined making it great quality that will last a long time. You could wear this to work by day and go right out at night without even changing. This is the best part of the dress: versatility. Just add some fun jewelry or heels and you're ready for a night out. Or wear it to church during the colder months with tights and flats and a strand of pearls.
Another great part about the Annie Griffin Collection? They have many dresses with classic silhouettes and colors to choose from. There's a dress for everyone, making it the 4th Fall Essential in my Fall Essentials Collection. I can't wait to feature the Meg dress in an OOTD when I get back to school. I can already envision this being worn to date functions, networking events, presentations, and out with friends! Have you shopped Annie Griffin? What is your favorite style? Have a fabulous day!
Yours,
sCe
