Giveaway: GiGi New York

I love GiGi New York, a sister company of Graphic Image (which is also fabulous!), for their quality products and first-rate customer service. See past posts about the brands here, here, here and here!

From a customer service standpoint, I don't think that GiGi NY can be beat. One example is that I have worked with them in the past doing a few blog posts (all my own opinion) and they always remember me and my blog. They sent this hand written note and gorgeous tassel key fob as a holiday surprise. I saw others on Instagram received them too and I don't know if it was planned, but mine is purple and gold... aka JMU colors. It could not be more perfect. I think the personalized service and attention to detail is what makes a company stand out.

GiGiNY
Well, GiGi NY has released their Resort Collection in some gorgeous hues in indigo, lemon and coral (click the photo to enlarge). I am personally drawn to the coral, although the bright yellow would really pop against some Lilly prints!

GiGi NY has generously offered to give a reader their choice color of all-in-one wristlet! Even better, it can be personalized! This is perfect for gals on the go. I like that you could fill this wristlet with your essentials and toss it in whatever purse you are carrying. Plus, the fun colors make it easy to see in a large handbag.

How can you enter? Use the rafflecopter widget below. If you are unable to see the widget, please click on the post title and the widget should load (sometimes it takes a few seconds).

And if you don't win... it's OK, because GiGiNY has offered 20% off using code 'SUMMERWIND' through February 14th (this also works for Graphic Image!!!!).  Uhhh, gentlemen, this would make the absolute perfect Valentine's surprise!

Are you loving GiGi NY's latest colors for spring? Have you shopped GiGiNY before? Best of luck in entering! Have a fabulous day!

GIVEAWAY: Annie Griffin Collection

I've posted about Annie Griffin Collection a few times in the past because I am absolutely in love with all of the pieces each season. I really don't think they have created something that I dislike (see past posts here and here).

Annie Griffin is all about creating gorgeous, well-made clothing. The clothes are classic with a stylish twist. For example. The lovely ladies at AG sent me this gorgeous skirt...

Isn't the Chelsea skirt adorable?! It is made of silk faille and has a thick waistband that is very flattering and nips you in the waist for a skinny mini look! I love that the skirt isn't super short-- it is the perfect length. I love the champagne color, however, for fall, the Chelsea in burnt gold is perfect. I plan on wearing my Chelsea year round. For a summer look, I paired it with a Ralph Lauren OCBD and orange ballet flats, but for the winter, I think this will pair well with tights, heels and a fun top for a party ready look.

I was also sent the Abbay blouse in watercolor stripe and it is not only gorgeous but also very functional. This top is perfect for an office look-- just throw a cardigan or blazer over this top and you are set for work. I also think this is a fun party top as well... I picture it with black skinny denim, pumps, and fun jewels and you're all set for a night out. The Abbay also comes in a fall perfect hunter green color! The Abbay+Chelsea= a showstopping outfit.

Pop into one of the over 150 boutiques that carries AGC to try on different styles and find something perfect for any occasion... To find a boutique near you, click here

Giveaway: Lemon and Line!

Get ready to want one of each! When David from Lemon & Line asked if I'd like to do a giveaway, after seeing his absolutely adorable nautical themed bracelets, I couldn't say no! The best part about this giveaway is there is not one, but two winners! You can choose from:
These are the Nantucket collection in Navy, Green and Yellow. My personal favorite is the yellow because it matches the most in my closet. Other than the Nantucket collection there are several other collections to choose from such as the Newport Collection and the Vineyard Collection. At $25, these would make a really fun and inexpensive gift.

My roommates and I discovered that you can actually take the bracelets apart. They come into two pieces and then you can mix and match colors which is really neat. I think it would be awesome if you went to, say, Michigan and got a navy and a yellow and mix and matched them for a school spirited bracelet! We loved pairing the navy and green together.

These bracelets come in several sizes. There is a size chart so you can decide which size you are. The two bracelets that are being given away are a size small. The small fits my wrist just fine and I would say I have an average-sized wrist. If you want yours to fit more along the bangle side of a bracelet, then I would size up one.

So, how can you win one of these pretties from Lemon and Line?

Giveaway:Tervis Tumbler

I have posted about how much I love Tervis before, but Tervis sent me a tumbler to review and of course, I love it and have to tell you all about it.I got the decoy duck because I love ducks... I  have even posted about  how crazy I am about them before.

Tervis makes a lot of different shapes and sizes to choose from. I think the 16 ounce size is the perfect size for any beverage, however, I really like the 24 oz. for water and crystal light because it encourages me to get my daily water intake!

The best thing about Tervis is that you can put hot and cold beverages into the tumbler and they stay cold/hot for a lot longer and there is no condensation because of the double-wall. I also love that they are dishwasher, microwave and freezer safe and have a lifetime guarantee-- they are virtually unbreakable!

Don't have a Tervis? Want to add more to your collection? Well, Tervis has generously offered to giveaway the 16 oz. size blue sailboat tumbler to one lucky Summer Wind reader! I am so excited about this giveaway because this is literally useful for anyone and everyone (plus who could resist the pretty sailboat!).
How to Enter: (each in a separate comment please)

1 mandatory entry: You must "like" Summer Wind on Facebook
1 additional entry: Be a follower of Summer Wind blog
1 additional entry: Like Tervis on Facebook
1 additional entry: Tweet about the giveaway (@SummerWind41490, @TervisTumbler)
1 additional entry: Blog about this giveaway and leave a link in the comments

That's 5 chances to win! The giveaway will be available through Sunday at midnight and a winner will be announced shortly after! Do you have a Tervis Tumbler? What is your favorite design? Have a fabulous day... good luck!

True Wind Review & Giveaway

I am so excited to be featuring True Wind on my blog. What better a time to introduce True Wind than this week because tomorrow marks the first day of summer! This is truly a fantastic company that makes all of their products in the U.S.A. True Wind makes bags from sailcloth. If you aren't familiar with sail cloth, sail boats used to have sails that were made from cotton. The cotton sails were quickly and easily worn down from the weather. So, Ted Hood created a material called Dacron which is made of man-made polyester fiber and has become known as the "classic" sailcloth material. True Wind uses Dacron custom-woven  by Hood Sailmakers and the fabric is imported from Ireland. This fabric is very durable from water and sun wear and tear. This is the only company that uses brand new dacron material for their bags. The use of this material makes the bag ultra durable and has the ability to hold very bold colors and creates a very crisp, white color.
Loving my new Skipper Tote!
I have seen several sailcloth companies that use recycled sailcloth and while I most definitely think that they're being eco-friendly, the fact that True Wind uses brand new, custom-woven fabric makes their bags last longer and their bags are just have an overall better quality. In fact, each bag comes with a lifetime warranty!

Skipper Tote in Red with Navy Stripes
Something that I just love about True Wind is that it is a woman owned business. Meredith Marquis, the owner of True Wind, was kind enough to send me the Skipper Tote.

Me with my monogrammed Skipper Tote!
I have a serious tote bag addiction. You name the company, and I own their version of a tote bag and I can honestly say that this is one of the best made and highest quality tote bags I have ever seen. The colors in this picture do not even do the bag justice - they are even brighter and more rich in person. The 4th of July is only 2 weeks away and I can't think of a more perfect housewarming or hostess gift than the Skipper Tote (red, white, and blue!) True Wind offers many color options including another one of my favorite color combinations:
Skipper Tote in Navy with Pink Stripes (picture taken from the True Wind Website)
I love that this tote bag is so versatile. The handles are the perfect length, I can wear the bag over my shoulder comfortably, but can also carry it by hand.
I love the front pocket-- I keep my cell phone in there for easy access. There is a zipper closure on the top and a roomy, zippered pocket inside as well. I plan on using this as a pocketbook for every day use but also plan on using it when at my lake house to tote drinks, sunscreen, and other boating necessities from our house down to our dock and onto the boat because of the water resistant and durability of the fabric.
 Love the monogramming!
I think Mac wants his own Skipper Tote!
I even think this would be great as a baby bag to carry around bottles, and other baby necessities. In the fall, I plan on using this bag to tote around my books and it will even fit my laptop.
The stripes are so bold!
True Wind not only makes totes but they have several other designs such as the Navigator Duffel.  This duffel is so perfect for weekend getaways or even as a big bag to tote to the beach with all of your beach necessities.
Navigator Duffel in Royal with Yellow Stripes (picture taken from the True Wind Website)
I love this color combination. It's very nautical and even reminiscent of signal flags! It's also nice and bright and has plenty of zippered pockets. True Wind also makes a Ditty Bag. This would be a great toiletry bag for travel but I am also thinking this would be a great make-up case.
Ditty Bag in Lime (picture taken from the True Wind Website)
How fabulous is this bright lime color? Well lucky for all of you, True Wind is giving away a Ditty Bag to one reader! Even better is that they will monogram the Ditty Bag for the winner! They are able to monogram any of their bags and have 5 different monogramming styles to choose from. My favorite style is:
Style 1, which is very classic and the one that is on my Skipper Tote. I can tell you that the winner will be floored at the luxurious quality of the bag. I had the privilege of working with Meredith on this giveaway and first-hand, I can tell you that the customer service is fantastic. She was a joy to work with and I cannot say enough great things about this company.

So how do you win a True Wind Ditty Bag? You have several ways of entering!
1 Entry (mandatory): Go to the True Wind website and leave a comment on this Summer Wind post with your favorite bag and color combination. You also must be a follower of Summer Wind on Facebook, however, if you do not have an account, you can still enter by e-mailing me at SummerWind41490@gmail.com with your favorite True Wind bag.

GIVEAWAY: Coast Apparel: Where taking it easy is serious business!

I am SO excited to be featuring Coast Apparel for today's post. I am one lucky girl because Coast sent me a big package of things that boys and girls should BOTH own (and how cute is that box?!)! Not only am I in love with every single thing they sent me, but I am also in love with their motto: "Where taking it easy is serious business". For a little background about the brand, click here. Their website says,
"Our clothing lines are designed to take you back to the coast: in your heart, in your mind and on your back. They are comfortable and elegant in their cut, style and feel. It is our desire that when you put on a piece of COAST apparel, it will ignite some of your fondest memories and place you in a coastal state of mind no matter where you are."
There is no doubt about it that the cut of their clothing is perfect. They are my new  go-to company for polos, that's for sure. They sent me two of their Winyah polos (this was their first product!) and I can't say enough positive things about these shirts.
The cut of the polo is longer than other polos I have tried, but this is definitely a good thing. The sleeves are the perfect length and are definitely flattering. I find that a lot of other women's polos have longer sleeves and while I don't mind that, these sleeves are definitely a better option. I have several pictures with both polos. First I did a casual, "trendier" look pairing the polo with denim shorts. I really love this look and wore it to a sorority meeting. While at the meeting, a lot of people asked me what the crab logo was because they thought it was so cute.
Then, I paired the pink polo (cosmo pink) with a Lilly skirt and wore this outfit to class. The pink was a perfect match to that in the skirt. I find that my Ralph Lauren polos err on the shorter side and so when I try to tuck them into my bottoms, they easily become un-tucked. With the Winyah polo, there is plenty of length and stretch so it is great for tucking into bottoms.
For sizing I usually wear a small in most tops, but sometimes order a size up if I want a looser, more casual fit. For these polos, I got a small and they fit perfectly. I would say that they are true to size.
Next, they sent me the fleece vest in navy. I am in LOVE with this vest. This is so perfect for fall and winter weather. I got a medium in the vest and it definitely fits. I've got plenty of room for a heavy sweater to put underneath but when wearing a tighter shirt, the vest doesn't look to large at all. This is another true to size garment, but I would order up if you want to fit a chunky sweater underneath.
I haven't worn this out yet, because it is still too warm here, however, I'm sure in the next few weeks I will be reaching for this. I paired with a navy blue and white striped turtleneck and am loving this look. In the winter you could add a jacket over the vest for more warmth, but for fall, you could wear it as is and be warm! It has a zip pocket on the left chest and says Coast in small blue writing. I am loving the fact that they don't over-do with their logo. It's the perfect size. My favorite part is that their crab logo is stitched on the back of the collar! The quality is just right. The fleece is soft and there is plenty of pockets. The best part of this fleece vest is the price. It is $89.50 which is great because if you compare it to an outdoor company such as Patagonia or North Face, their fleece products are almost double the price of the Coast vest.
With the vest, I would wear the Coast Cap. Mine is pink! I am a big hat wearer while at school because sometimes when I don't have enough time to style my hair, I just put a hat on. Or I especially love it when I go to the gym and don't have time to shower before grabbing dinner, I just put a hat on and it makes me look a  little more put together.
I love when guys wear white hats and at $20, this would make a great gift for a guy.
Last but not least they sent me a koozie! I might as well tell you all that I have a slight hoarding issue with koozies.. not really but I collect them, and I am so glad to have added this one to my collection!
So, now it is your chance to put a Winyah polo in your closet! All you have to do is:
-Head over to Coast's website (http://www.coastapparel.com/) and leave a comment with your favorite item! Also, be a follower of Summer Wind! (1 entry, mandatory)
