April Favorites

I round up my favorite things each month for a monthly favorites list. At the end of the year, I pull from each monthly list and create a yearly favorites list. Here is my 2024 favorites list. It's my way of keeping track of the very best things. The lists work because when I look back on the past few years, most things on each list are still my favorites. My only rule is that I don't repeat items from month to month or year to year, so there is no overlap.

Hair Wand// I've shared this a few times already, and for good reason. This is a superior hair wand that has bristles more like a hairbrush and less like a mascara wand, making it ideal for taming flyaways. I also like that this is a cream rather than a gel. The texture works much better in my hair than gel. I ordered three, so I always have one on me! It is so easy to touch up on the go.

Hair Mask// This is a new line from Wella, and in my opinion, Wella can do no wrong because this Ultimate Smooth line is fantastic and works. I've only used the hair mask, but they have a shampoo, conditioner, and hair oil that I'm looking forward to using once I finish my current shampoo and conditioner. It's designed to reduce frizz and flyaways and create smooth, healthy-looking hair, and it does just that. I have tried the Fusionplex, Ultimate Repair, Elements, and Oil Reflections, and this Ultimate Smooth is my favorite. The Fusionplex is a close second, but I am so glad to have tried this new line!

Oval Bezel Earrings// These are the perfect everyday pair of studs. They are affordable and high quality. I have become such a fan of Baublebar. They have some great classic pieces and fun, trendy pieces at very affordable prices.

Customized Patch Tote// The BB team sent me one of these personalized totes. There are 6 spots on the large tote where you can select embroidery patches. They have so many fun options. The canvas is high quality, and the design is well thought out. This would make an adorable gift. I love that the tote has short handles and a longer, adjustable strap for comfort!

Silver Tray// This is an Amazon find I originally found through 'This Oak House', an Instagram account run by one of Nancy Meyer's daughters. It's an inexpensive little tray that is the perfect size for a candle and soap or for a bedside valet tray. It reminds me of a tray a restaurant might use to put the receipt on when you've finished the meal, but it's cute!

Powder Highlighter// I was hooked the second I tried this highlighter. It is by far the best highlighter I've ever used. It's powder but blends beautifully and never seems cakey like some powder highlighters can be. It's very pigmented, so a little goes a long way. I love this in the corner of my eyes, down my nose, and on my brow bone to add some depth!

White Crewneck Sweater// I did a sponsored IG post with this brand, and I may be their biggest fan. Their pieces are spendy, but the quality is unreal. Everything they sell is machine washable. The designs are classic but current at the same time. All of their pieces seem straight from a Nancy Meyers film.

White Beaded Dress// This was my birthday dress, and I also plan to wear it on our Portugal trip. It's one of those remarkable, special dresses. Photos don't do the dress justice. It's cut in a very 1960s style, and the beading is fabulous. It comes in a few colors, but the white stands out to me as the dress's fabric is a warmer-toned white, and the beading is cooler, so you get both tones in one dress. I also love the juxtaposition of the linen texture of the dress against the beading. It's an incredible dress. I think this would be so fun for a shower, rehearsal dinner, or after-party for a bride!

Hyaluronic Acid Serum// This is a new-to-me clean skincare brand. It's a product my husband and I have both fallen in love with. It's a good skincare basic to have on hand to add moisture to your skin. It has a lightweight gel texture, so if you tend to run oily, this could be a great moisturizing option for the summer months.

Lambrusco Wine// I have been so into Lambrusco lately, and I finally tried the Avaline brand, which is organic with no added sugars. It was fantastic! If you are unfamiliar with Lambrusco, think of it as a Pinot Noir red mixed with a Prosecco... so it's basically bubbly red wine. It's a very light and crisp taste, though, so if you are like me and don't love white wine, this is a great alternative to drink in the summer heat!

Lip Gloss// This gloss is a great price and comes in many shades. It feels so hydrating and smooth on my lips, I'm a new fan of this brand for sure! The color I have and love is Sesame, a mauvy pink that is perfect for daily wear.
