I round up my favorite things each month for a monthly favorites list. At the end of the year, I pull from each monthly list and create a yearly favorites list. Here is my 2024 favorites list. It's my way of keeping track of the very best things. The lists work because when I look back on the past few years, most things on each list are still my favorites. My only rule is that I don't repeat items from month to month or year to year, so there is no overlap.
Nut Bowl// I randomly purchased this little glass bowl, and the amount of joy it brings me is well worth the $30 price tag. It looks like Simon Pearce- the glass is so clear and has beautiful lines. It's advertised as a nut bowl but looks gorgeous as a tea light holder, too. I'm keeping this in my back pocket to give as a host/hostess gift with a tin of nuts during the holiday season later this year!
Portable Wipes// These wipes are a game changer. They are made of nontoxic ingredients and can be used on surfaces or your hands. I got the mini size, which is perfect for the car. You can pick the dispenser color- I picked one to match my car's interior, so it just blends right in. The wipes are also biodegradable.
Night Cream// Augustinus Bader is shaking in his boots with this cream!!! I just got this in a PR package a few weeks ago, and it is quite possibly one of the best night creams I've ever used. That's really saying something because I try a lot of products. The eponymous brand, Irene Forte, is named after Rocco Forte's (hotel mogul) daughter. The brand is focused on sustainability and 'good for you' ingredients. This particular cream is insanely thick. It's *definitely* a night cream and not something I'd use during the day because of how heavy it is. It sinks in pretty quickly, though, and gives you the dewiest glow. It doesn't actually feel heavy on your skin, though, which is key. It's so hydrating, and I swear my skin looks better after just two weeks of nightly use. I linked to the IF site because it does go on sale sometimes, but you can also use my code SUMMERWIND on Dermstore to save. It's pricey, but also $100 less than AB.
Deodorant// I originally bought a S+S deodorant years ago and really liked it. The scents from this brand are next level. They smell so high-end and are unisex. There hasn't been a scent I have disliked. The deodorant smelled insanely good, but it had a gel texture. I personally prefer a powder/cream stick, so while I loved the scent, I preferred the Native brand deodorant texture. I didn't realize until recently, when I got the Basil and Neroli deodorant, that they make powder cream sticks, which are considered 'extra strength'. They work SO well and better than the gel version. I love it so much and have ditched my Native deodorant for this and am so happy. I was anti-natural deodorant because I thought it would never work on me, but I switched over a year ago and haven't looked back since. It truly does work! My code SYDNEY15 works for 15% off.
Navy Lounge Set// This is the best travel/lounge set. I feel so put together when I wear this, but so comfortable. It is the type of lounge set that a character in a Nancy Meyer's film would wear. Their pieces are pricey, but they go on sale occasionally.
Striped Cardigan// The best, high-quality knits. I have been wearing this cropped striped cardigan nonstop. It's the perfect summer layer. My code SUMMERWIND10 should give you 10% off.
Bronzer// This is the BEST bronzer ever. It's truly like a suntan in powder. It looks so natural and is so easy to apply. I'm not a big powder product gal, but this one is really something. Really, there is not a single DIBS product I have tried and disliked. They are all wonderful, and the brand is clean.
Eyeshadow// This is a cream eyeshadow, and I had been seeing it all over social media for years. It's pricey, but I finally caved and got the shades bronze, a shimmery nude, and sandalwood beige, a warm neutral. You just dab the cream on your eyelid and can blend with your fingers or a brush. I prefer to use my fingers. I am not good at eyeshadow and don't wear it often, but this is foolproof and gives you such a flawless finish.
Dual Ended Makeup Brush// Speaking of DIBs, this dual-ended brush is a game changer. You are missing out if you have any of their products but don't have this brush. The contour end blends the cream products better than any brush I've ever used, and the powder brush is so big and fluffy and applies everything so naturally.
