I am not usually one to shop around in regards to make-up. I usually stick with what I like and when I run out, I go out and buy the exact same product to replace the used up one. However, I had seen the Just Bitten lip stain commercials by Revlon and have always been curious about using a lip stain, so I took the plunge and I am very happy I did ( I was not payed or compensated in any way, this is just because I think this product is worth reviewing!).
Here are the pros:
- Love that it has the lip balm on one end so your lips don't feel so dry, although sometimes I skip the balm and just add a little lip gloss over top of the stain.
- The maker-like applicator is so easy to use and evenly distributes color
- the $8.99 price tag
And for the cons:
-You don't get much of the product because of the lip balm at the one end. Covergirl offers one without the lip balm and I think I'll be trying that one next time.
- The color is very pigmented when you first apply it to your lips (I guess for some this could be a pro) so I find dabbing it on my lips and then rubbing it in with my finger makes the color look more subtle.
-There are not many colors to choose from, and of course since it is drug store make-up, there are no "testers" to see what the colors will look like on you.
All in all I really do love this product and will definitely be purchasing another lip stain in the future. I got the Twilight shade because it looked to be the best shade for me, and I really like the shade on my lips. Has anyone tried a lip stain that they love? If you've tried Just Bitten, do you like it? Have a fabulous day!

Christmas Giving
As much as I love receiving gifts, I also love giving them. There's something so wonderful about giving someone something so perfect for them and seeing them so thrilled. So just as the December issue of Town and Country did, I will share my go to gift giving items that are sure to please many.
Brooks Brothers Audobon Double Mallard Pin $348. I love Mallard Ducks, in fact my first word was duck becuase we had so many Mallard icons throughout our home. This is sure to please a bird lover, or someone who collects pins!
Lilly Pulitzer Bon Voyage Travel Case $58. It's a really fun gift for a Lilly love of course, or a traveler. To add a personal touch to this gift, add her favorite lipgloss and small toiletries so she's all set to go wherever her travels take her!
RedEnvelope.com Lp Coasters $24.95. Eco friendly becuase they are from old records, and great for the music buff! I think these would be so fun to give to a guy! It's a very unique gift!

At $150, this is not too expensive for a close friend, a cousin, sister, niece, or other special girl in your life! I know many young girls around 13-17 would be thrilled to receive a little blue box with this inside!
Twilight Lipgloss $20. Twilight fans can now get their hands on "vampire themed" cosmetics. Now I am one to stick to my favorite lipglosses, but wouldn't this be a fun stocking stuffer for all of the Twilight fans out there!
Hunter Welly Socks $30. This is for someone who has everything under the sun. They're a fun gift, and they will appreciate it, becuase it's not an item many people know about.. plus it will keep their feet extra warm and dry!
Talbot's cashmere wrap $129. Becuase who doesn't like cashmere?

What are your go-to gift giving things? Have a lovely Monday!

Nantucket Red
I'm starting to love blogging! I love getting comments and seeing what other people are blogging about. I'm so happy it is Friday but it is terribly cold and not so nice outside. It's June for goodness sakes! Where has the sun and warm weather gone?!
First of all, while I'm typing this, I'm currently listening to "Come Fly With Me" by Michael Buble which is one of my favorite songs of all time. (It's even in one of my favorite movies "Catch Me If You Can" with Leonardo DeCaprio). So start your weekend off right and pop in some Michael Buble (and what a handsome guy too!)!
Sorry for the blurry/dark phone picture but my laptop is currently having viruses so I can't upload the pictures from my camera until it's done being fixed so the camera phone will have to do for now... and the two bottles at the top, are the B&BW Aromatherapy body washes from my last post, I bought to Energize body washes for my dad also. Be sure to check out the flip flops on Murray's website! They are too cute for words! I think I just might order several pairs of them!
What are you getting your father/how are you spending your fathers day? I know we will probabaly be celebrating it by spending the day at the country club pool and then probably have dinner there along with my grandparents.
This morning bRc and I had brunch at the best diner in the entire world. It's not a chain, there are only two and they are both within 15 minutes of me, and one is only 5 minutes away! They have crepe-like pancakes that are SO good. I got the chocolate chip banana pancakes and bRC got the regular pancakes; we also shared a side of their famous potatoes! (pancake picture is from google images, but it's the real thing!)

Father's Day is coming up very soon (June 21 for all of those who haven't realized it's so soon!) Well it will be here in just 2 short weeks and I have bought my dad such a great gift! My sister and I bought my mom the Vineyard Vines quilted coat for Mother's Day so we only felt it right to get something high quality and preppy for my Dad as well, of course he only deserves the best! I got him the ORIGINAL Nantucket red shorts from wherelese but Murray's Toggery Shop! They arrived in the mail today, and they are so nice! I reccomend them to all "kids" shopping for their Fathers! They are so nice. Here is the pair my father will be receiving:

I hope everyone has a lovely Friday night! Here is a BEAUTIFUL picture that I'll leave everyone with? (is anyone else as obsessed as I am?)
