Floral Dress at Atelier Playa Mujeres

I've shared most of the outfits I wore in Mexico to social media and the LTK app, but this one has yet to make its rounds, so I'm sharing it here first in a good old-fashioned outfit blog post!

This is what I wore on the last evening of our trip. We stayed at our resort for the entire trip. There were many bars and restaurants on the property. This was my favorite bar, El Detalle, which is in building three, if you are ever at Atelier Playa Mujeres. We had dinner at the Mediterranean restaurant, Cala Di Luna, which was so cute and made you feel like you were in Greece! We ended the night with some stracciatella gelato.

I had other, cuter shoes to pair with this outfit (these) but do you ever get lazy on the last day of vacation?  Because I do. I was glad my Hermes oran sandals worked with this Dress because I was not feeling heels! It was such a fun vacation with so many family and friends but there was not a lot of rest, ha!!

This was the perfect dress to wear in Mexico, though. The fabric was lightweight and breezy! I paired it with a belt because the dress runs big, and I didn't have time to exchange it for a smaller size before I left, so the belt did the trick! However, I recommend sizing down one, maybe two sizes! I'm wearing a small and should have gotten an XS... I'm rarely an XS in anything.

I brought only costume jewelry on this trip so I got to wear lots of different and fun earrings from my collection. The specific color of my earrings is sold out, but I just love this style of Earrings for adding color to a summertime outfit!

Mother's Day Gift Guide

Mother's Day Gift Guide
Seersucker Chemise//Silver Sandals// *Monogrammed Cosmetic Bag// Rich Cream (use code SUMMERWIND for discount)
*we were able to get a few more in stock!!!!! But just a few, so act fast if you'd like one!

Can you believe we are nearing Mother's Day?! This year, Mother's Day is on Sunday, May 12th so you have a little less than two weeks to prepare!

I love my mom so much, and I think she deserves the world. All moms do!! She is truly the best, and I do not take one day with her for granted. She is so supportive, loving, and a wonderful person. My biggest hope is that she always knows how appreciated she is. I think one of the best things in the world you can give to anyone is your appreciation. Let it be known and celebrated!

Experiences are also so special, especially if you are around our age and our moms are older- they have all of the stuff they could really need! So, I listed quite a few ideas at the end of this post! Time together with your mom is truly the best gift you can give each other!

However, I am a gift giver, and there is nothing better than giving gifts to my mom! This gift guide is filled with so many of my favorite things and things I have also gifted to my mom! When shopping for my mom, I particularly like to treat her to little luxuries that she may not buy for herself.

If you want recommendations straight from my mom, she did a great gift guide for the holidays that you can find, here

If you are looking for something inexpensive to give to your mom friends to let them know you are thinking of them, I think a plant makes a gorgeous gift as you can pop it in a pretty planter! Even something simple like a $3 basil plant potted in this little blue planter.  It would also be a thoughtful touch to give to a friend who might be missing their mother or as a beautiful gift to give a host/hostess if you are attending a Mother's Day Brunch/Lunch/Dinner!

Experiences:
- Spa Day/Massage
- Facial Treatment (like at McCauley and Dean if you are local!)
- Manicure/Pedicure
- Overnight/Weekend Getaway
- Afternoon at the garden center or whatever her hobby may be (golf, tennis, needlepointing, etc.)
- Dinner and a fun night out (see a show, comedy performance, concert, etc.)
- Hire a service: cleaning, landscaping, nanny, car detailer, etc.
- A nice bottle of her favorite wine or champagne
- Afternoon tea at a fancy restaurant/hotel!

Raffia and Wicker Handbags for Summertime

I can't believe we are nearing May already! It feels like the ball just dropped, and we were welcoming 2024. Now, it is full-on spring. We get a later spring here in Pittsburgh compared to many other regions in the country, but toward the end of April, we start to see leaves on trees and blooming flowers. We had a very mild winter, so this started a bit early this year, and I am loving it!

Around this time of year, I start reaching for my favorite wicker and raffia bags. I love these kinds of bags and wish they were more appropriate for year-round wear. I love that they are neutral but still add texture and warmth to any outfit. I'm also oving all of the colorful raffia bags I am seeing everywhere this year!

They are also available at various price points. However, wicker and raffia are not expensive materials, so it's a personal preference that I don't pay much more than a few hundred dollars at most for something like this. Luckily, there are lots of options and right now. I am focusing on Target today because they have SO many great bags and most are under $30. I took this one to Mexico and love the cute little size and it was so easy to pack. I also loved my girlfriend's bag that she brought to Mexico- it looked much more costly than the price tag would suggest!

Weekend Wish List

Happy weekend! This week's wish list is truly a hodgepodge.... lots of accessories!

Some items of note...

- I ordered this Embroidered Pullover and matching shorts set. It looks like the perfect lounge set for the warmer months. I love having lots of options on hand to throw on in the mornings to go on long walks.

- This Scalloped Marble Tray is under $50 and so pretty. I love to use trays like this as decor and to set candles on like an oversized coaster.

- I love all things hearts, and this Heart Pendant is darling!

Some items of note...

- I definitely prefer a skort over a skirt these days as it makes it so much easier to move freely! This
Skort is just perfect! I'd pair it with a white polo!

- Another gorgeous Wicker Handbag under $200! And, this Orange Bag one comes in 4 colors and is under $30!

- This is a newer-to-me brand and I love this Blue Handbag; so unique!

- It's probably no surprise that I am loving this Tweed Dress! So ladylike and classic!
