OOTD: $30

Yep, you read the title right, this outfit was only $30. I wore it on Thanksgiving and got so many compliments. Now, the $30 is only for the top and pants, not the jewelry and the shoes, etc... But still, a steal of an outfit if I must say so myself. The pants were only around $10 from Forever21 and I absolutely love them. As I write this post I am even wearing them. I really wish I would have bought at least 5 more pairs because they are extremely comfortable and can be dressed up or down and fit like a glove. I can't find the exact pair in any store or online since I purchased these 3 years ago. I am dreading for the day to come when they fall apart from getting so much wear.

In fact, the only pairs I have ever even found comparable to fit, comfort, and style are these and these and they are 10x the price which I can't bring myself to pay after getting my beloved pants for $10.  Ok, ok, I will stop rambling about the pants.

The top is also from Forever21 and I can't remember the exact price but it was somewhere around $20. It looks and feels like a much pricier upscale top. Not to mention it's fun and festive for the holiday season.
I must have had it for a while now because this picture is several years old. I've said it time and time again, Forever21 is a great place to shop for trendier items and things that you will only wear several times and for a really great price.
Do you shop Forever21? Have a fabulous day!

Christamas Cocktail!

This time of year your fanciest things are often in demand. I don't know about you, but I get sick of repeating dresses from year to year. Here are a few things I absolutely love for this holiday season...
Four-If-By-Sea skirt, Anthropologie

Silk Taffeta Shirt dress, Talbots (for Talbots, I usually hem the skirtline up just a little bit so the dresses don't end up looking to matronly! I suggest it, it has always worked for me!) Silk taffeta ruffle wrap dress, J. CrewShow-stopping Shift, Boden USA
Fifth Avenue Dyan Dress, Kate Spade
Shauna Tunic Dress, Lilly
Boss Black Dasurini Flower dress, Saks
Dotted Pleat Skirt, Forever 21

I hope these are some eye candy for your day! Have a wonderful Tuesday! Only 17 days until Christmas!
Yours,
sCe

Cocktail Hour

During the fall and winter, it's really hard to find appropriate things to wear to dressier functions that will keep you somewhat warm, but also make a statement. I haven't been to Forever21's website in quite some time, and I have to say I was pleased to see some great things! I am loving this fancy brocade skirt. It is so versatile because you could dress it down with a simple black cardigan and flats for a more casual dinner party, or you could dress it up with tights and a black turtleneck or halter top for a dressier affair such as a holiday cocktail party!I'm often very skeptical about order off of F21's website because most of the time, I think you have to see the things in person to feel the quality and try the size on, but I think I'm going to go ahead and make this purchase! It seems like the perfect thing to wear for thanksgiving dinner! What are your thoughts on Forever 21 clothing?

Have an amazing day!

Trying out new styles!

This weekend was simply lovely! My grandparents, aunt, family friends, and parents and sister all came down to my school to visit me! It was so nice to see them and spend time with them. They even brought my pup! Friday night we went to my favorite restaurant and Saturday we went on a day trip. This coming weekend I have exciting plans that I will fill you in on next week! It includes a little black dress! I am so excited!I decided to try out the high wasted skirt trend. This little black skirt was purchased for $9.80 at forever 21. It was such a steal, and for that price, I couldn't help to try it out! I paired the skirt with a wool shell from J.Crew, purchased last year and black peep toe heels. Have you tried this trend out? For me, I think it was a really fun outfit, but I will reserve this for nights when I go out and need do look a little more dressed up at school. I don't think I would wear this out to a nice restaurant because it's a little more on the "less conservative" side.

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

"And when I looked, the moon had turned to gold"

A big thank you to Southern Seersucker for the Butterfly award! She is such a sweetheart, and if you haven't had a chance to check out her blog, go right on over! Thanks again SS!

Today I went back to school shopping and found the most amazing Lilly purchases on CLEARANCE in TJ Maxx. I got a Lilly nightgown ($20) and a Lilly top ($30). Can you believe those great prices!

I believe it was a deal of a century! I also got an oxford cloth king pillow case with pearlized buttons. It is so adorable and will be the perfect addition to my bed. I also grabbed a great assortment of 21 themed presents for my big sorority sister because she will be turning 21 shortly after we return to school!

Here is another pictured of what I've snagged on various random trips to various stores!
L to R: Satin Headband (F21), Black Patent Heels (Target), Purple Grosgrain Headband (F21), Black Stretch headband with Satin Bow (F21), Hot pink flats (F21). I snagged all of this for under $40! Target was having a great shoe sale, and same with F21. I have been a sale seeking lady recently. Doesn't it feel so great to get a good deal!

Tomorrow night I will be doing something very different for me. I am camping. Yes you heard that right. CAMPING! Not the traditional kind of camping where you go in the middle of the woods and pitch a tent and make your food over an open fire. Our country club hosts a family campout every year. I have never been, but my sister has and raves about it. Camping isn't really my thing, but tomorrow night promises to be full of fun. The chef has prepared a full breakfast event the next morning filled with pancakes, waffles, eggs, quiche, french toast, fresh fruit, and tons more. Plus we will be sleeping out on the golf course in tents (air mattress as well!). They have a fire with s'mores set up, a bar, music, and lots more planned. I am so excited to spend time with my family because I will be going back to school in just one short week. I can't wait to report back with all of the details. It will be my first time "camping", although this is hardly roughing it. We will be able to change and brush our teeth and such in the Ladies Golf locker room which is so luxurious with a TV, couches, everything there that you may forget, and plenty of showers and such. We will also be nice and cozy becuase we are bringing air mattresses and bedding so we can sleep well, and my dad just purchased a new tent that sleeps up to 8 people!

Have a wonderful Friday!
Yours,
sCe
