Kaftans
Ok, I admit it. I am obsessed with the Real Housewives of New York. I realize that it is just one big train wreck, but it's so hard to look away! Last Thursday was the first episode of the ladies' vacation in Morocco (and I use the term "ladies" very loosely). Well, Luanne's kaftan reminded me a lot of this littler Target (or Tarjay for the more sophisticated) number...
This is Calypso St. Barth's line for Target. I wasn't really a fan of this kaftan at all when I first saw it when the line first debuted, but after seeing this...
It reminded me a TON of the Calypso for Target line and I am now a fan... and for $50 who can resist? I'm thinking I would wear this strictly as pool/beachwear. However, many people are brave enough to pull off the kaftan look anywhere and everywhere and I think it looks great, but it's just not for me. How do you wear your kaftans? Have you purchased anything from the Calypso for Target line? Have a fabulous day!

Watches That Are Worth Your Time
First of all a HUGE congratulations to Hines Ward for winning Dancing With the Stars... oh yeah, and Kym too! Pittsburgh may not have won the Super Bowl, but at least Hines brought back a win to the Steel City!
Now back to regular Summer Wind posting... This weekend, a friend had on a great grosgrain watch... Of course, I had to ask about it and I couldn't believe my ears or eyes when he told me it was from Target! Of course, as soon as I got back to Pittsburgh, I rushed out to Target and got this beauty of a watch (literally, I got back on Sunday, and bought the watch on Monday).
This is the picture from Target's website. It is a men's watch (this made me even happier!) and the price...drumroll.... $12.99. I was guessing it wouldn't be too expensive just because I know that Target is not really the place to shop for watches, but $12.99! I couldn't even believe it!
This is my picture. It doesn't look that great in the picture but let me tell you, when I first saw this watch, I thought it look like a pricey timepiece. I really know my watches and this one caught me totally off guard. It is so well made and very comparable to my Brooks Brothers watch. At this price, it might even be smart to stock up and give this watch as a gift. Fathers Day is coming up very soon (June 19) and also, this would be a great gift for a high school graduate, not to mention a great gift to surprise your boyfriend or husband with as a "just because" gift!
Here it is in between a quarter and my Brooks Brothers watch. It's a thin face, but definitely large in diameter in comparison to my Brooks Brothers watch (which is actually broken due to a bit of an accident in Richmond--whoopsies! Its' next stop is to the watch doctor!) . The grosgrain strap is removable and is a bit wider than the ones that I have for my Brooks Brothers watch, however, when I put them on the Target watch, you can't really tell that they're too small. So, the point of this post is that if you're a watch person, go buy this watch, if you're not a watch person, go buy this watch, if you need a watch like you need a hole in the head (that would be me), still, go buy this watch!
Have you seen this watch or do you have this watch? Can you tell that I'm in love? I will definitely be featuring this in an OOTD very soon! have a fabulous day!

Miss Trish of Capri for Target
I know I may be a little behind with this post, but I couldn't help but to share my love for the Miss Trish of Capri line of sandals for Target. I have never owned a pair of the "real deal" from Palm Beach, and I am actually sad to say I had never heard of this designer before they debuted at Target (or Tarjay as my dad likes to call it) before last summer. Well, I fell in love after my first pair which are the Coral Flat Black Sandals. They are oh so comfortable, and perfect to jazz up any casual or basic outfit. The pearl and sparkly starfish detail add a hint of elegance to the sandal which I think is fabulous. And who wouldn't want uber cute sandals at the price of $24.99! I am now on the hunt to get the real deal. You know? The ones from Palm Beach! I found a website that has just one pair of the real thing and they are cute, but I'm truly not in love with them. They are around $90, which is expensive, but I was expecting them to be upwards of $200 so I guess I was pleasantly surprised. Here is the link in case any of you were wondering. And without further adieu, here are the IRL picture:
The picture was taken by my BlackBerry (you all are probably not surprised by now) so the quality is not great. I love how the straps on the side are adjustable to get a tighter or loser fit to your feet. I would say these run true to size. My mom purchased me these while I was not there to try them on so she bought me a 9 and I am usually an 8.5. The 9 fits fine, but looking back, I really should have gotten the 8.5. Another thing I LOVE about these sandals is that there are adorable sandals for little girls so you can all match! I always loved when my mother would do the mommy & me look with my sister and I so this is right up my alley!
Have any of you purchased a pair of these sandals from Target for yourself or your little one? I adore the pink and green pair so that is going to be my next purchase! Also, if any of you know of anywhere where I could possibly purchase the real Miss Trish of Capri Sandals, please either leave me a comment or drop me an e-mail at summerwind41490@gmail.com! I know I've heard many of you say you have the real deal from years ago in Palm Beach, but now I want a pair! Have a fabulous day!

I am back in Pittsburgh, and it is so wonderful to be home! Yesterday I spent a wonderful day with my aunt doing some much needed shopping! We had lunch at the Cheesecake factory which was amazing as usual and the area was decked out for Christmas (above picture)! I definitely recommend the Thai Chicken Pasta, and for dessert I had brownie sundae cheesecake which was incredible! I can never go to CF without getting cheesecake! While shopping, we popped into Target and I found two adorable things that I just had to share with you all!

"And when I looked, the moon had turned to gold"
A big thank you to Southern Seersucker for the Butterfly award! She is such a sweetheart, and if you haven't had a chance to check out her blog, go right on over! Thanks again SS!
Today I went back to school shopping and found the most amazing Lilly purchases on CLEARANCE in TJ Maxx. I got a Lilly nightgown ($20) and a Lilly top ($30). Can you believe those great prices!
I believe it was a deal of a century! I also got an oxford cloth king pillow case with pearlized buttons. It is so adorable and will be the perfect addition to my bed. I also grabbed a great assortment of 21 themed presents for my big sorority sister because she will be turning 21 shortly after we return to school!
Here is another pictured of what I've snagged on various random trips to various stores!
L to R: Satin Headband (F21), Black Patent Heels (Target), Purple Grosgrain Headband (F21), Black Stretch headband with Satin Bow (F21), Hot pink flats (F21). I snagged all of this for under $40! Target was having a great shoe sale, and same with F21. I have been a sale seeking lady recently. Doesn't it feel so great to get a good deal!
Tomorrow night I will be doing something very
different for me. I am camping. Yes you heard that right. CAMPING! Not the traditional kind of camping where you go in the middle of the woods and pitch a tent and make your food over an open fire. Our country club hosts a family campout every year. I have never been, but my sister has and raves about it. Camping isn't really my thing, but tomorrow night promises to be full of fun. The chef has prepared a full breakfast event the next morning filled with pancakes, waffles, eggs, quiche, french toast, fresh fruit, and tons more. Plus we will be sleeping out on the golf course in tents (air mattress as well!). They have a fire with s'mores set up, a bar, music, and lots more planned. I am so excited to spend time with my family because I will be going back to school in just one short week. I can't wait to report back with all of the details. It will be my first time "camping", although this is hardly roughing it. We will be able to change and brush our teeth and such in the Ladies Golf locker room which is so luxurious with a TV, couches, everything there that you may forget, and plenty of showers and such. We will also be nice and cozy becuase we are bringing air mattresses and bedding so we can sleep well, and my dad just purchased a new tent that sleeps up to 8 people!
Have a wonderful Friday!
