September Favorites

September Favorites
Bow Grip Socks// Lipstick (in shade 976)

I round up my favorite things each month for a monthly favorites list. At the end of the year, I pull from each monthly list and create a yearly favorites list. Here is my 2024 favorites list. It's my way of keeping track of the very best things. The lists work because when I look back on the past few years, most things on each list are still my favorites. My only rule is that I don't repeat items from month to month or year to year, so there is no overlap.

Gray Sweatshirt// I've posted about this over on IG about a million times by now. If you all know my Sloppy Joe's sweatshirts that I wear often and love, this is a really good, less costly option. The Sloppy Joe's sweatshirts are huge- in a really cozy and relaxing way. But, sometimes that can look frumpy! This sweatshirt is still oversized but less so. It's very soft. I reach for it over and over.

Sweater Pullover + Pants// I LOVE this set. I wore it on our Boston/Maine trip as we shared an Airbnb with friends and it was so nice to be in a cozy but polished lounge set when we were just hanging out enjoying our beautiful harbor view. It runs roomy. I got a size small in both the top and bottom. It's a sweater knit but not the kind that will get overly stretched out or lose its shape. It also washes well.

Knit Top + Skirt// This was one of my wardrobe MVP's for September as I wore it so many times. It's the perfect set for casual and dressy moments. The knit fabric is thick and structured but incredibly comfortable, too. I got a size small in both the top and bottom. I am so glad to report that the length on this skirt is short but not overly short!

Velvet Mary Janes// I got these in Portugal but they are starting to open several stores around the US. They're based out of Spain! They are all washable and so incredibly comfortable and lightweight. I could defintely walk 10k steps in these easily! They are on-trend and fun. I have already worn them more than I ever thought I would.

Tortoise Flats// I love these flats! I love anything tortoise and these shoes truly look like it! Because of the mix, they work so well with both black and brown. They have a subtle block heel that adds some polish to an otherwise simple ballet flat. I could not love these more. They are so comfortable and took no time for me to break in! I think they look like a much more expensive pair of shoes.

Chocolate Bar// Listen, we have chocolate and laundry soap on this list... nothing is off limits here, ha! With that said, I'm actually not a huge candy bar gal. I love gummy candy and chocolate desserts like cake or ice cream but I am just not into candy bars. Well, this purple Tony's Chocoloney bar is packed with pretzels and toffeee and it is my newest weakness! My husband loves it, too. It's that perfect balance of sweet chocolate and salt from the toffee and pretzel. They are huge bars!

Bow Grip Socks// These are a fun little under $10 find for pilates or barre. I get compliments on them any time I wear them. The quality is good, not incredible, but they are fun. Fun pilates socks are much harder to find than one would think!

Lipstick// I got this lipstick in shade 976 at the JFK airport when my mom and I were bored during our layover to Portugal. I this lipstick was in one of the beauty stores and it was displayed around the store in several different places and each time I would look at the color line up, I would always pick 976. Even my mom would go and pick that color. It made us giggle. I ended up buying it without even trying it on and it's one of my favorite colors. It's vibrant but not over-the-top. It's a bright pink that is cool in its tone. It's just the right thing to apply when I feel like I need a pop of color.

Conditioner// I grabbed this in Portugal and now I'm a big Klorane fan. This smells like a ripe mango and is so softening. I don't know how to explain it other than it feels like conditioner from the 90s. It's luxuriously rich but I think it's the smell that takes me back.

Laundry Detergent Tablets// My husband and I both love these tablets. They are supposed to be a 'cleaner' detergent option and I love the tin that they come in. The tin is refillable and the refills come in a recyclable bag. The scent is so clean and fresh and not overwhelming. It's so easy to just toss one of these into the laundy. They truly make my clothes as clean as any other detergent.

Gold Flats// I'm wearing these as I type this! They are a timeless pair of ballet flats in soooo many colors. I have gold! I love the squared off toe which feels current and the padded footbed for ultimate comfort. I found these to run big. I am usually a 9 and sized down to an 8.5 in these!
