I am back with another yearly favorites list, which comprises items I share in my monthly favorites lists!
If the item is on this list, it is a show-stopper and gets my highest seal of approval! I also try to select only items that are still available/in stock (e.g., this would have made the list, but it's sold out). Lastly, I don't repeat items from past years (or else this would be on the list again)! You can review 2024's list here.
The fashion one is tough because clothing is the category that sells out quickly and changes quickly, so that is why there are fewer items on this list. I wanted to include a lot more, but there is so much no longer available!
I'm switching it up this year and have separated this list into three parts. Today is fashion and accessories. The last one will be home and accessories. You can find my Beauty Favorites here!
Long Sleeve Shift Dress// This is one of my favorite dresses. I have both the white and the navy. Overall, this brand creates such high-quality, timeless wardrobe staples. Each piece fits perfectly in every way. There are small details and tailoring that this brand does that really set them apart. Though pricey, the quality reflects the price tag. This particular dress is made from a stretchy crepe-like material with long sleeves. It's the perfect shift-style fit and reminds me of something that would have been prominent in the 1960s. This is a dress I will have forever!
Lightweight Pullover// This is so unique. It's your typical half zip pullover, but it's the fabric that really sets it apart. It's an athletic, sweat-wicking fabric, but it almost feels like cotton poplin. It's the lightest-weight pullover I've ever worn. It's the BEST layer in the warmer months when you just need something light to block the wind or to wear while you warm up in a workout. The fit is roomy. I get my true size small.
Corudroys// These corduroys are high-quality and fit so well. They're labeled as a barrel-style pant, but I find them more like a medium-wide straight-leg. They have just enough slouch. My mom has and loves these, too. This is part of the Spanx Authentic 360 line. They have a few different styles and fabrics in this line, and I would recommend them all. The fit is so spot on. Some of the styles run in small, medium, large, etc. I got a size small, and I am a size 4 or 27/28 in jeans, so these are true to size.
Blazer// I'm not the biggest blazer person because I have broad shoulders, and I often feel like blazers just accentuate that. I love the look of a blazer, though. It's timeless and so polished. Besides ingenious design from the CS team, I think there is also a sprinkle of magic in this blazer because the fit is *perfect*. Not only that, but it's made of thick jersey fabric, but it doesn't look like it. It's the perfect business or casual piece, and one you can travel in or with without worrying about it wrinkling. The gold buttons are a gorgeous and timeless touch. This is easily the best blazer I've ever worn!
Barrel Pants// This is the trendiest piece in this post. I have seen these everywhere over the last year or so. They are very popular. They are made from a lightweight, almost athletic-feeling material. They are also, without a doubt, an obvious barrel pant. These are trendier than I typically go for, but there is a reason they are so popular: they are so comfortable, and I swear they make my legs look so much longer than they actually are. They are so stretchy and don't wrinkle, so they are great for travel. Whenever I wear these, I feel so much cooler than I am. I wear a size small in the regular length. They make a short length for petites!
Crewneck Sweater// I have several of these that I have collected over the years. My code SUMMERWIND10 works for 10% off. I think it's just a one-time use code. This is such a high-quality sweater. I know there is a lot of buzz around the fabric content of our clothes. I've always paid attention to what clothing is made out of. It's true that even high-quality brands we all know and love are making more than ever with synthetic materials. This sweater is made of wool and cashmere. So, although the price is steep, it's such a beautifully made staple. It is cut slightly cropped, so I usually size up to a medium. In the black, I have size large for a roomier, cozier fit.
Faux Fur Coat// I've shared this coat many times over the last year. It truly looks like a real mink coat passed down from your mom and grandmother. Sometimes faux fur can look gorgeous but not provide any actual warmth, but what sets this apart is that it is so warm! This runs true to size. I wear a size small, and there is room to layer a thick sweater underneath.
Tote// This tote is a great alternative to the ever-popular L.L. Bean or Lands End totes. Don't get me wrong, I have and love those, but this is just a fun switch-up. It actually has a much better organization system inside with several pockets and even a clip for keys or a wallet. I have the large size, and it's great for travel. You can customize it with initials, names, and fun patches. The canvas quality is top-notch.
Clover Necklace// This is such a fun necklace. Whenever I feel like my outfit needs 'something', I reach for this necklace and it instantly dresses things up. I would call this high-end costume jewelry, on the borderline of fine jewelry, because it's made of gold-plated sterling silver, mother-of-pearl, and white topaz.
Earrings// I wear these earrings at least once a week. They pair well with everything and make a fun alternative to traditional diamond studs. My mom and sister also have these, and I gave a few pairs of these as gifts over the holidays.
Silver Bracelet// I treated myself to this for my birthday this year. I love it. I tried on many of the different sizes in the store. I thought I wanted the thicker version, but this ended up being the prettiest on my wrist. It's the perfect size to wear daily or stack with other bracelets. I love its simplicity.
Tote Liner// This is jst the most FUN tote liner for a mini canvas tote. It makes me so hapy and is such a unique accessory. It's beautifully made from a wonderful women-owned small business (I love Sunny!).
Sandals// Similar to the clogs (below), these are not the cutest, but they are SO comfortable. I wear them all summer long and because they don't have any metallic details or colors, they kind of just blend in with my feet. They are chunky, but much slimmer than some of the other comfort sandals out there.
Clogs// I was soooo hesitant on these clogs for so long, but I have no regrets. They are not the cutest ever, but man, they are so comfortable! My mom has them and loves them, and I got my aunt the clogs for Christmas!
Socks// I have these in both white and the brown set. They are just great quality, inexpensive crew socks. With socks, I am convinced you do not need to spend for the higher end brand names. These are just as good.
Slippers// These are the best travel slippers that don't add bulk or weight to your suitcase. I find myself wearing them over my socks while at home when my feet get particularly cold! They make them for men, women, and children!
Strapless Bra// A strapless bra that is actually comfortable and stays up?! Who knew it even existed. This is definitely the best strapless bra I've ever worn. It runs true to size.
Sneakers// I was gifted these sneakers from the brand, and I was skeptical. I liked the look of them, but wasn't sure how they would perform. Well, after walks, Orange Theory classes, and treadmill runs, I can confidently say these are the best running shoes I've ever worn. They are so different from my Hoka Bondi 8s, which I love to wear for walking, that it's unfair to compare the two. This pair is so cushioned but incredibly lightweight. They have a lot of bounce to them, which I love. They remind me a lot of Adidas Ultraboosts, but just better- bouncier and more cushioned/comfortable.
Gloves// These are just comfortbale and thin gloves that I wear on walks with Henry when it's cold but not *that* cold. I also like them as liners on extra cold days. Nice quality and the fleece inside is soft. I've machine washed them several times and they have held up great.
Sunglasses// I love these sunglasses not only becaues they quality is great for under $100 price tag, but they are one of the most flattering sunglasses I've worn. They're a wayfarer style so they have a very classic look but the temples flare out ever so slightly making them a touch more feminine than traditional wayfarers.
